Some missions are separated into different paths, some can be played as multiple character. I guess the translation got mixed up somewhere along the line.
But yeah, I wish we have more continuous streams of missions for a single character.

There is a full game (sometimes two whole games) that the fans warn you to avoid all together. I was around for DMC2 making people want to kill themselves, and the full cycle of grief that was DMC4's release. The hype cycle for DMC5 has been almost identical to DMC4's, with tons of lies and half truths about the game.

DMC5 is absolutely a disappointment. The hype that was there at the E3 unveil was gradually sucked out with every new piece of info. I watched it happen. I even watched people do what they did with DMC4 (and now MGSV); making a story that was so much better than the people working on it could hope to.

Even if one copes by lowering their expectations, DMC5 is going to be an eternal pink wojak to any true DMC fan.

I still bought it because it's better than the other shit that comes out now.

Meh. I wasn't hyped after the reveal due to the awful character design, and I wasn't the only one, the reception was very mixed as people tried to process what the fuck was Itsuno even doing, why are you trying to rewrite history?
Then as I got over it and all the info showed an absolutely spot on DMC experience, I was hyped ever since. The number of mission and lack of turbo/LDK/Palace has been the only bad news. And the fucktard fujoshitters mad about Vergil's face are seriously late to the party. It's too late now to realize the facescanning tech was a mistake.

What about it is disappointing to you? Shit like the mtx is kinda bullshit, and the alleged lack of extra costumes and turbo sucks, but other than that it's looking like it could contend with DMC3 for best in the series.

The only reason to have enemy step is to jump cancel and you know damn well the average Yea Forums poster can't JC to save his life, not to mention style switching, weapon switching, guardflying, side star, inertia etc.
