A small burst of damage is not comparable to a character with 4 blinks and constant DPS + 2 nukes that can be used on the move.

Most people do. The only thing keeping OW afloat is the esports scene, the player retention is way down.

HotS actually had player retention, but not enough whales and the eSports didn't have enough return for investors. Basically Blizzard needed to jew a game, so they jew'd the one that made the least money, even though it was still making profit.

I loved this game so much, what happened at the end of last year made me stop playing, now with the 800 layoff + record revenue made me adamant in never playing blizzard shit ever again.

Must agree i play the game often and those two are two of the most annoying characters, you literally need to be using certain heroes to counter them if not you are dead while most other heroes can fight against each other fairly.

I've heard its declined but my friends and I still enjoy it and we're able to get into games fairly quickly (queue times less than 60 seconds). It still seems to be getting updated, but as pointed out they've only added one character. I figure the game is winding down so I'm hoping they can add some classic characters and some Overwatch before the offically pulls the plug on it.

You could always try the AI games first. There are a lot of people who play that for some reason. It's still fairly easy to get into compared to the other MOBAS

An actual smash type game would probably do them better, but I don't think they have the talent left at Blizzard to pull it off.

Why do they have map rotations? Why not just have all maps available? At the very least in the AI modes.

Sometimes most players get sick of a certain map or two and they take them out for a bit and see what they can change to make it better according to what people don't like about it

Bullshit, people are going to get sick of playing the same 4 maps for weeks on end moreso than having to see a map they don't like once in every 15-20 matches. And if there is a problem with it like with Hanamura, they can remove that map from the overall pool and still let you play the rest.

That's why I feel like it's more fair to just have all the maps at all times. Instead of having Player A happy for 2 weeks because his favorite is available while Player B is mad because his isn't and the maps that are there are ones he hates, everyone has equal chance of having the maps they do and don't like.
