I wanna get into the series And I think I know what order to play them in (I’ve tried the nes one and did t hey very far) I know I need to start with the first solid game so I’m gonna emulate twin snakes but I don’t have a ps3 so I can replay the collection. I’ve thought about maybe hacking my ps4 so play them but from what I’ve heard it’s almost impossible and not worth it. How should I play the rest of the metal gear solid games?

If you choose to emulate the first MGS, don't get Twin Snakes, get the original. Twin Snakes is a weird remake thing.
For the others, I'm not sure how they emulate.
However, I'd recommend getting a used PS3. You can play all of the MGS games in their best versions, plus Peace Walker, plus MGR:R. And there's a shit ton of other game collections on PS3. There should be God of War, DMC, GTA, just a whole bunch of cheap classic collections.

Emulate PS1 version of MGS, Twin Snakes sucks, in many ways.
Play MGS2 on PC natively, it's considered abandonware now, there's a mod called"V's Fix" that makes it run on modern machines and allows for 1080p and such
Emulate MGS3: Subsistence (you need a DS3 for pressure sensitive buttons)
Emulate Peace Walker
Watch MGS4 on YouTube or some shit
Play MGR:R on PC
Play MGSV on PC
Portable Ops is optional, it's considered non-canon by Kojima, and generally plays like shit compared to Peace Walker and V
Use ePSXe for PS1 emulation
Use PCSX2 for PS2 emulation
And I don't know much about PSP emulators
This is the definitive path if you do not have a PS3, PS2, or PS1.

If you have a PS3 you can buy this thing, it has every metal gear game from Solid to Guns of the patriots, it even has the old MSX games.
Then just play solid, sons of liberty, snake eater, etc etc, and dont worry, you dont need to play the old MSX games for now

mgs2 looks great up to this day. mgs3 looks kinda bad, but mgs2 is just flawless mix of technology and aesthetics. you land on a tanker and you feel like you're playing a good-looking 2010 game

Seriously, how is there no "OG Mod" that limits you back to MGS1 control and changes stuff like this? Cutscenes are probably way too hard to change but the gameplay and music should be correctable.
