the writer is a massive brainlet and when asked to describe fallout 4's story he described it as androids and looking for your son, he should be fired or at least just go back to writing optional quests instead of the main story

The best thing about this game is the concept art.

It is also the worst thing, because nothing in game looks close to it.

I played for like 3 hours and it was just terrible. There wasn't anything appealing about the game.

The game focuses on post apocalypse rather than post-post apocalypse. You would think that after 210 years, there would be some form of government and proper factions with territory.

They could've set it around 50 years after the bombs and it would've made more sense.

Also every aspect of the game was garbage.

It always makes me laugh that The Elder Scrolls is the series with crimes, fines, and jails, but Fallout has absolutely none of that to the point where if you accidentally “steal” someone’s empty soda bottle then every NPC in a 10-mile radius turns hostile toward you.

NV's first hours are its weakest desu, if you don't enjoy it after confronting Benny on the strip then it's just not for you

Im playing Fallout 3 these days and its so much better. Really underrated game. I like the survivalist aspect with proper atmosphere and the map is quite believable which honestly doesn't feel like it in New Vegas. New Vegas to me feels like a huge theme park with a desert in between rides and it becomes too obvious on 2nd playthrough. Yet NV is "objectively" better because what it does good it does better (like scenario, dialogue, quests) than how F3 does with what its good at but I don't play each game for the same reason. NV doesnt scratch the itch F3 does, and I prefer F3 gameplay and "meta", more interesting perks and better balancing for instance. I like the mods Ive installed so far too.


tldr : arguably bethesda's best game (just doesnt have morrowind's ost)

I installed a mod that adds legendary enemies in F3, literally the only good thing in the anti-immersive soulless garbage that is Fallout 4 Sims Edition. I guess some people play F3 for the wrong reason though, sure the story may be cheesy sometimes (yet at times well written) but what I find fun is pretty much treating it like a roguelike by cranking up the difficulty, going up exploring and choosing different starting points to do quests so each playthrough is different.

F3 is moee enjoyable because at least there's SOME semblance of role-playing. Fucking terribly written by Bethesda, but at least you can customise who you are to a minor extent beyond being an 18 year old vault dweller. In Fallout 4 you will always be an angry father or mother who loves their son and is looking for them. If I wanted generic mindless shooting I'd play Destiny or something
