Except F.E.A.R. was supposed to have all those "sections", but didn't because deadlines were breathing on Monolith's neck and they had to redirect attention to other places. They were promising car chases, more open levels, more levels in general, all sorts of shit, but couldn't make it in time, and had to resort to polishing what was there already.
I will also would like to remind you that "sections" were part of many games since NES. Any good game would spruce itself up with some special level where rules were totally different. The combat is entirely equipment-based, movement is point-and-click, and a lot of things are locked for premiumship.

Also, the time I spent with the game I just trolled and was given 250,000 gold for no particular reason by someone which made me feel weird, and oddly empty.
I don't know the value of gold in RuneScape, but 250,000 seems like a lot. But just to receive all that money by trolling, while others slaved away (for days, maybe?) just made me feel empty.

It's all bots fighting bots in there. The scripts have improved some since the RoJbots that ran the place when I left.
They all run on Eles now, and actually c-space and restart their casting if you interrupt them and can even go after turtles and each other. It's kind of interesting to watch them tick.

Just bought Shogun 1 two days ago from a sale, it's a blast. I hadn't played it in over 15 years but I'm surprised how functional it feels even after playing Shogun 2.

The turn order on the campaign map is fucked up though. It favors the AI by letting it react to your movements before all battles are fought simultaneously at the beginning of your turn. Fortunately it's easy to manage once you're aware of it.
