I've been doing nothing but tournaments and killing sea raiders for enough money to buy silk factories in every city. Now that I have about 20 factories, in making about 10,000 denars a week doing nothing. Once you piss off the leaders of the cities though, that income will be cut off til you take it back.

With good gear i mean the top-tier stuff that you see at the top of the shop inventory, the armor and weps that lords use.
Sure it's expensive but it makes sure that your companions aren't as fragile as wet paper.

I agree. I generally like being able to use all infantry, archers, and cavalry at the same time while also being effective. Sarranid troops are all pretty average especially when compared to other factions where a certain troop type will excel in a specific area while lacking in another.

every save you make in M&B is a journey and as such you gotta devote the time it deserves to make it memorable, vanilla alone should take you like 80+ hours to capture the whole map IF you know what you are doing otherwise is weeks and weeks of learning as you go and discovering the game mechanics until you master them, mods increase this time x100 but also give you more troops/gigantic new maps/tons of new factions/mechanics to play around wich keeps things fresh, most of them are high quality enough to feel like a new expantion pack altogether wich is incredible considering is all free and you can switch between them at any time

if you can't appreciate that journey or what the game offers for that matter, then good games are not for you and you should stick playing fortnite you piece of zoomer cancer shit

Saranid armies drop like flies in every game I've ever played. Trying to raise a Saranid army is a chore since they always suffer a lot of causalities. And ANY other faction can have their way with them, I love keeping my faction in perpetual war with the Saranids to grind and for looting purposes.

Even lower level armies fare well, but once you get elite units like Swadian Knights, or Nord Huscarls you can fight Massive Saranid armies with very few causalities. Even if they have tons of their "elite" units.

You know you can set up camp and retire in game literally any time right? Itll even give you an ending and tell you how your guy lived and how influential he was. The problem though is that your guy will almost always be some nobody who did nothing if you retire just like that, even as a vassal. Eventually, youll want to see how a king lived out his life and if any of HIS shit was worth while.

Just have concurrent players in the sandbox. To you, the other player would be no different than an AI character. Only thing is that any player-involved battle would need to take as long in the sandbox as it does in real time, so no more 30 second sandbox battles.

i play on normal difficulty and run around with my gang of 100 cavalry, it's too easy.

Other countries dont really have access to this, in eastern countries things like this are what running track is.

I'd say nid guards are better than vargir guard. They're similarly armored, and they both neglect their shields, but nids also have jarids. Same with hired blades, they're tough but their shields are weak and small.

Early game should be tournaments, man. Don't bother with doing random Lords' busywork, that's for increasing their opinion of you, not for making money (unless it's the tax collection one and you plan to run with the money).
Or use Freelancer if you want a fun way to progress to mid-game with tons of big battles and such, it's included with most mods anyway.

I remember playing this game for 6 hours once and amassing a big army on my own but finding it impossible to actually gain any rep with any factions. Felt like I was ready to progress in the game but nobody would listen to me. Not that I was outlawed or anything its just my power became hugely different from my political progress. Sarranid guard armor is trash while Vaegir have good stuff like banded and lamellar. Melee weapons are pretty much tied, but Vaegirs tend to have more 2h axes and spears while Sarranid have mostly 1h weapons /1h spear+shield.
Sarranids have a chance for throwing weapons, which can be give them an edge in the first charge. Assuming they hit anything.

Were you playing a male or female? Women have it tougher because they have to get better renown in order to start getting involved in politics just like real life huehue.
You need to just keep grinding renown though if you want to join a faction as a vassal. You mainly get it through battles and winning tournaments.

Mamlukes have better stats Vaegirs and slighty better equipment(not by much though).
As for archers, Vaegir have better bow and stats, but very shitty armor. Also Sarranid archers have slightly better shooting speed because of their bow.

The way it works iirc, is that you need a certain score that's made up of your renown + the ruler's opinion of you. Raising the ruler's opinion is much faster and easier than grinding up renown, so when I want to become a vassal quickly I just do quests for them until they let me sign up.

You can also just wait until you take over a castle or city while being vassal to a lord, request it be granted to you, get that request denied and then choose to rebel. You get to keep your fiefs and that one you just took over, while being an independent faction

I find that the nords and rhodoks rarely fight each other when there are tasty swadians and vaegirs to eat so mixing them doesn't cause problems.

Is it even possible to take a castle via starving them? I've never bothered because the sheer amount of food required is nuts and you're likely to get ambushed by a relief force anyways.

How do you even use horse archer troops effectively? Just be one yourself then tell them to follow you while you circle the enemy?

Or you could join a claimant and become independent then tell the claimant to fuck off. That way you could revolt when you think you're ready for it.

I've never tried, since you're almost guaranteed to get ganked by an enemy army. Your best bet is to find a castle with a small garrison from a faction that's getting fucked, so that hopefully they won't crush you right after taking it

It's a game set in an age where Muskets were still the best gun in the world. So you can't just COD run around and kill people with SMGs. You run to the battle, fire your shot at someone, crouch behind some broken wall, reload, then repeat, rinse, repeat.

yeah shields are OP so only one handed shields are allowed because everyone is required to have a weapon and you're out if you lose your weapon. the 2 handed weapon in this webm is the best for knocking down but then you don't have a shield so you just smash people that are locked up with guys on your shield

It lets you move the cattle in a straight line. You pass time for a second t/hen move after them. Once you get a little closer you hold space and pass a little more time. You keep doing this and you have t/he cattle moving the direction you want rather than Willynilly.
