It's not a terrible one. I think it's just poorly optimised across the board on both pc and ps4.

It's poorly optimized on everything, so it's not really a PC-only problem.

It's a-OK port.
Some weird design choices, but it works and runs nearly flawlessly out of the box, unless your PC runs on worms and potatoes.

The FAR Mod pretty much addresses every single nitpick one could have with it. My i7 2600 + GTX 1050ti got pretty steady 60fps at 1080p with it.

Do I need to play the previous games to enjoy this one?

Not at all, it has nothing to do with the previous games, it's like 1k years old in the future and there is nothing important about both games that connect them

FAR mod fixes most problems but it's still an abhorrently optimized game. Fuck square for not releasing a single (1) fucking patch since modders do it for free.

You know when people say they have issues with Nier Automata, that's just like sometimes the FPS drops unexpectedly, something that the PS4 just has to deal with? This is usually at 1440p plus as well when the Pro is stuck at 1080p

I have a good PC and didn't have any issue, FAR mod is great. The game is really good and top 5 of last year.

It sucks ass on PS4.

Non-pro is 900p with awful FPS. Pro is 1080p but with forced motion blur that blurs 2B to shit and it still has bad performance.

PC has mods, improved graphics, options, and higher performance.
