His script was about a character named Red who starts out hating Pokemon because daddy never loved him and his mother had a falling out with Team Rocket or something.
It's pretty obvious where you go from there, Detective Pikachu kind of follows the same lead with Tim either being a failed trainer or just having no interest in it, but that's not the point of the entire story.
