Why is it that I can recall specific places in GTA SA much more easily than I can with GTA IV or GTA V? I mean, I can pinpoint exact places in GTA SA, and I played it a really long time ago. I remember the Grove, the motel where you fight SWAT, Woozie's casino, etc. I could probably even put them on the map.
With GTA V or IV I never even began to memorize the maps. I could never find Michael's or Franklin's home without the giant marker on the minimap.
the map isnt really that big, but was varied so that it felt a lot bigger than it was. as for not having any sense of direction, that just means you're a bit of a retard.
Joshua Gomez
two reasons. >the maps are way bigger than san andreas >you are relying on the gps, you arent actually paying attention to where you are going, you are just paying attention to the gps
Ryder Sanders
Smaller map with less filler for the main areas

soul vs soulless

>Why is it that I can recall specific places in GTA SA much more easily than I can with GTA IV or GTA V? There was alot more shit to do in SA. Than there was in GTAIV/V. That how we remember. It may have been a smaller map. But there was a fuck ton more shit to too. Gang Wars for Street Turf n shit. In GTA IV shit got cut. Then GTAV is basically GTAO for any content.
Ayden Bennett
SA has soul. The other two, not so much
Jonathan Price
GTA V had a fuck ton more to do in singleplayer than IV though
Jeremiah Nelson
The story of SA uses the map for every single mission. IV just nails the frustration of driving to/from work on NYC. V on the other hand, the locations are action set pieces.
Isaiah Gonzalez
inb4 some Vice City faggot comes and calls SA soulless
I'd say that gta iv's suburbs and streets are just too similar so you can't really begin to recognize patterns.
Tyler Jones
GTA SA encouraged free play more, instead of roping you to the missions.
William Harris
And iv still had some. V felt more like afever dream of the Truth
Kayden Wilson
this place always had a comfy yellow/orange glow to it making it feel like a nice summer evening
Joseph Evans
You were younger, so you spent more time in the game and you were less jaded. Less detail, so easier to remember. Maps were smaller and more sparse.
I'm not making a quality judgment on any of the games.
Jonathan Foster
3D era city layout was overly simplistic
Justin Clark
the real reason is because you didnt know the bounds of games and thought that just maybe there might be something cool in all the hard to reach places without knowing that there is absolutely nothing amazing or interesting in 99% of all games
Adam Roberts
This. And sometimes when you play game which you love, you really engulf yourself to the surroundings etc but as with most new games, they are not that loveable any more.
Colton Nguyen
You almost certainly played it more.
Sebastian Walker
>just got into GTAO >/gtag/ doesn't exist no more
Luis Price
Because you were younger when you played San Andreas.
Juan Walker
And most of them were pointless.
Jose Sanchez
do i reinstall? been a year since my last playthrough
Luis Cruz
>San Andres >Felt like I was an adult when I was a kid Didn't really go around driving over people but did enjoy going back. Back to those sweet simple times. Where all you had to do to have an awesome day was DSL and AOL messanger. TAKE ME BACK!!! Rockstar I swear to god if one of your employees ever sees this just want to let you know. While unsure of the profits having a lack of data, I do know if you were ever capable of this, you're taking all my money. Or at least 50 because lets not go to far.
>you arent actually paying attention to where you are going, you are just paying attention to the gps That's ... a surprisingly interesting consideration.
Ryan Long
How many people spent shameful amounts of time, driving around trying to get the plaid skirt hooker to spawn?
Carson Lopez
I don't recall whether it was Vice City or San Andreas but there was a cheat where whores would get guns and follow you around. I remember I got one of those to lean out the door of a car while shooting at someone and I angled the camera to peek underneath her skirt. Thing is my older brother was behind me, playing on the other computer, and I was like 10 at the time. >his face when
Yes. I could probably draw a map of all of Dark Souls, except the place with the everlasting dragon because I never went there
Chase Morris
>1 okayish, but not impressive. Created out of a literal bug in a racing game. >2 my personal favourite. Respect is everything. >3 one of the most important video games ever created. Love it to death. >VC most soulful for lack of a better term. The OST, the cast, the colors, period, and environment were spot on. I remember my parents gleeming woth joy when they heard me play with Flash FM on. >SA best video game in the series, hands down. >LCS & VCS personally I enjoyed them because I was a lore autist. Severely underrated. If only they were on PC. >IV kino. The day 'Things Will Be Different' trailer dropped, the whole world stopped for a moment, quite literally. Their website crashed for many people because of an overload. Loved it. >CW Very underrated. I enjoyed the minigames, and being able to deal drugs for the first time in the series. It's a modern love letter to the classic titles. >V reddit
Joshua Jones
IMO 4 might not have the best gameplay but it had the best story. It was really good.
Leo White
GPS didn't exist. At the most you had the red dot thing.
Crazy how a red cross dot thing can mane you feel euphoric
Sebastian Wood
god i remember this, he did deserve it and it was pretty funny, but they spent way too much time on this retard and once the entire ordeal was over they pretty much have nothing to post besides shitty tranny characters and ugly cars
Jackson Brown
Yes. Having recognisable landmarks for navigation and centralized hub layouts are literally 2 of the 9 rules of good level design
Leo Diaz
GTA Series is the GOAT YouTube channel. Been watching the GTA 3 missions a lot.
you can make lots of money by selling cars though, or doing heists if your friends are not mentally challenged or if you have friends
Gavin Phillips
Honestly IV was the worst in the series. SA was the best. SA > VC > V > III > IV. Debate me. You know I'm right.
Adrian Morgan
dont try to defend how shitty the grind is in gtao everybody agrees its shit those that dont buy sharkcards and deserve to die
Jonathan Fisher
That's why there's FiveM gtao is dead and the only reason to play it is if you mod or know modders.
Logan Reed
what are the other 7?
Blake Diaz
because you were playing them when you were younger with a better memory and having fun experiencing a game like that for the first time
retards like you but born 10 years later will be on here talking about how gta5 was so much better than gta6 because they grew up with it in a few years time
Matthew Bailey
fivem is also shit
Kevin Kelly
hd era cities are closer to the real ones so there's a lot of redundancy in places, in SA they're more essential
Brody Jenkins
This, smaller maps mean more keypoints in a smaller area and less filler. V had miles of useless buildings. SA had some useless woods and buildings too but not nearly as much. With so much filler, you're just speeding through and following the GPS waiting to get to the destination. I dont even like SA though, I think its overrated. First couple hours were fun.
