I know people tend to like it now, but it's still the "we don't talk about that one" of Zelda games.

I like Undertale. I don't understand "its popular so its bad" mentality. "People that I don't like enjoy it, so I can't play it"

It was definitely the 8-bit Majora's Mask where everyone went "wtf we wanted another one like before"

I just beat that a few months ago, it was alright. Cool atmosphere and aesthetics, especially the wilderness parts.

Haven't played it yet

It's pretty good. I think it just got super hyped up when it came out and became oversaturated by fans screaming "PLAY THIS GAME *SPOILER* HAPPENS AND ITS GOOD AAAA DOGS"
Like fuck off. Even today it's just stupid memes are everywhere.

If you like rpgs and dumb jokes, you should like it.

I like rpgs and dumb jokes. I'll check it out.

Its a victim of the circumstances in which it was created. Not only was it still the early days of making games but it was the second game in the series itself, they had no idea what to do with a sequel clearly. That beind said i still dont really like it just because those things do factor into it basically not being a "real" zelda game.

it's dead now, or at least slowing way down but I still like this game

I legitimately like Dead Island and I think the reason its hated was because it trashed a unique setting with a LE WACKY ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE setting that is done to death (which I agree). The game itself is fine and Dying Light was the better version with a better story

Too bad Dead Island has the better final boss because its not a QTE

I've played thru red and blue so many fucking times that i actually really enjoyed these games. it was nice being able to go thru Kanto and still have some unexpected surprises
also riding best boy was a treat that would have rocked my socks off as a kid

If they didnt have the borderlands style loot system it would have been a thousand times better. Should have taken dead risings approach of just letting you use whatever you can find as a weapon rather than scrounging around in hopes of finding a legendary weapon.

It's just funny how we're now at a point where people complain about Zelda games all being the same, but I get the feeling that if this game had come out more recently, people would have loved it.

I mean look at Breath of the Wild. They threw out everything that made a Zelda game what it's been in favor of open world tropes and people love it.

And now even the soundtrack has been scrubbed from youtube because of some french music company that picked up the OST years later to sell.

Just don't look at anything online. It's best played blind. After you've beaten it (you'll know when it's beaten), look stuff up.

not him but my buddy is a big fan and he's told me it's important to play the runs in a certen order, cuz the game remembers stuff
if memory serves he told me to go pacifist first

Tell your buddy he just spoiled most of the fun of the game for you. Learning that there even is a pacifist route is something not explicit said to the player to do. Play the game how you want to. It's your experience.
And the game remembers decisions based on save files. It's a simple game.

Dying Light has a terrible final boss but Crane finally telling Rais to just shut the fuck up always gets me.

every time i talk about it people shit on the noses
it isn't even out yet but the demos great

It don’t deserve the hate.
>RPGlike overworld with side-scroll battles
>level up
>killer music
>tense dungeons where danger is real
Shit needs a remake.

Its extremely marginal and the game is short enough that you shouldn't care about it. Story and choice based games get worse as you know more

This game is a weird “not fun” until someone points out you can plug a mouse in to your ps2 and use mouse aiming, and then it becomes “this is awesome, why did no one tell me this before!”

The one you're 99% likely to get on a blind playthrough is the best one to start off with anyway. Retarded friend.
