Simply not fun, they needed to get rid of ults a long time ago and nerf healing/shields to the ground.

There is literally no good content after the few hours mark. Maybe if you're the kind that easily gets addicted or you enjoy doing the same shit over and over again, grinding, you might enjoy it for a while longer before realize there really is nothing new or worth playing in it.

The complete endgame is either grinding resources for better gear or just partaking in Fashion Frame exhibits. Finding new ways to customize and design your frame, etc.

I realized personal skill barely affected games. It's team based and odds are you are paired with 5 cum gargling retards who just feed. You need to have team synergy and the right hero picks. Teamwork is also needed and randos just eat rocks and pop ults for no reason

Got sick of how samey the matches can feel combined with them just adding more and more CC, shield, and healing. I quit like right when they reworked Mercy and she was flying around reviving people. Tried to get back in once but ran into launch Bridgette who is like the pinnacle of fucked design.

I still play it here and there, but I'm hyper-casual as someone who doesn't really like shooter gameplay in general. It's mostly Mercy + Reinhardt Simulator for me with the occasional Torb or Symmertra game because I like summoner characters.

It gets frustrating when I hop into a game, instalock Mercy or Rein, then watch every other one of the five players pick a comp like Widow, Hanzo, D.va, Ashe, and Mei, all on an Attack point no less. I'll normally offer to swap to Rein in that scenario if anyone would be willing to heal in place of my Mercy, only to be met with silence and tumbleweeds.

I like Overwatch because of how team-based it's intended to be, but everyone's just kind of out for themselves and looking to play what they want to play at any given moment. It's annoying. I have a lot of players in my MMR who are just dogshit, always picking the same character no matter the situation, like this one awful D.Va I've come to recognize who always uses the black cat skin, does stupid shit like flying herself over pits when she's low on booster charge (she falls to her death frequently) and seemingly doesn't even know that Defense Matrix is a button. I always seem to get paired with that obnoxious Gaymer Gurl chick (yes she gets on voice and she's very condescending) when my team needs an actual tank, and I can't swap because I'm our only healer in virtually every match she enters. It's fun.

Well my friend:
The game really isn't fun anymore. Balance is fucking dead and OW team isn't doing anything about it. Events are getting recycled and characters has almost no depth. Skins are laughable and not rewarding to get in the end. The whole game lacks even the fap-bait skins that games like league of legends has. Fucking worthless.
Blizzard pretends the game is "inclusive and diverse", while it has only 1 Eastern-European hero(Zarya) and like 4 heroes from USA(McCree, Soldier, Ashe and Reaper).
The fucking game has 0 Mediterranean heroes, closest ones being Pharah and Ana in Egypt. No Spanish, Italian, Greece etc heroes.
Also all female characters have same body type. Only exception being Orisa. Even Moira is just stretched Mercy body. No hero has big bewbs for example. Male heroes have some body variety which is nice but personalities hit the brick wall instantly.
The reason why female characters looks so alike is because all characters are made from same model. There is some blizzcon video somewhere about that or something.
It falls on its knees right away on diversity and character personalities are as interesting as piece of sandpaper.
Maps are boring most of the time and has horrible environment and architecture realism. Just go and look at windows and doors in Rialto for example.

Then there are heroes and movement that is boring as hell. There is no feeling of weight in your movement, guns feel like using a spray-can. Momentum is lost in all techs(Pharah's concussion blast, Junkrat's mines), you just lose all speed without any reason. Wrecking Ball is only exception to some extent, but the speed mechanic is so lame in that anyway.
Ranked is just a meme. Endorsement system is broken and gives ban-protection(Tested). There is no real reason to try and win. Real """toxicity""" is never handled properly. Smurfs everywhere.

There's a ton of reasons, but the main reason why I stopped playing Overwatch is because of how dependent the game is on ultimate usage.

This is the final nail in the coffin for me. Once I had seen every map I stopped caring to play it. It's like if TF2 only had dustbowl and gold rush, there's nothing but chokepoints. The game's a boring spamfest that's decided by which team has a better balance of spam vs. shields.

How much time did you waste on it, btw? I spent about twenty hours playing it. I have a friend who's gone past the 1000 hour mark but he's kind of retarded desu, can't even drive and he's 22.

Didn't have an active set of friends who played and I realized playing the same thing dozens or hundreds of times a day was pretty boring.

It's not only the chokepoints, but how inconsistent the maps are "in-universe". Like you couldn't live in them, they don't feel like real places where people live. Like look at fucking Dorado. It's basically a one road that starts from middle of a town to a factory. It isn't a real city or a place. It's just ugly. I don't want to compare to TF2, but at least the maps feel like real places. If you haven't checked, I recommend looking at the maps sometimes in both games. Even cp_dustbowl and pl_goldrush. Look at them more closely and see what they are "as places". Compare that to any fucking OW map. The difference is so fucking huge its laughable.(Try to imagine Eichenwalde or Hanamura as real places. You can't)
I have unistalled the game, but last time I checked, it was around 200~ hours
And I can't drive either. I'm scared of driving ;_; Stop bulli

I can't go up in SR no matter what I do. I have to play a specific hero at a specific time or I lose. I want to play Mercy/Dva/Mei to fill, beyond that none of the heros interest me.

In other games with different champions/heros/paladins I can play a role and do well in that role. In OW each hero is its own role and I can't win without being gay.

Played it between bouts of writing my MA dissertation.

After about 500 hours. They added Moira and I started to get further annoyed. Brigitte was the final straw. The game's not even a shooter anymore. You can play an entire team of heroes that doesn't even have to aim and still do well.

The meta is so boring to the point where I think a pick and ban system like R6 Siege has would actually make this game more fun. Normally I think that kind of system is just a sign of laziness and the developers admitting that they can't balance. But at this point Blizzard is just better off letting us just ban certain heroes in comp so the game is varied again. They've proven for a long time now that they don't know what to do. Would really cut down on that feeling of having to fight through a hundred shields too.
