>clunky controls >shit framerate >first boss is "lmao notice the door" >LMAO TOXIC >curse >invaders are 50% hackers and 50% muh duel fags >sen's fortress main gimmick is abusing the shit platforming of the game >second half is unfinished crap izalith especially >Dogs and wheel skeleton have stupid hitboxes
>shit framerate >on the nintendo switch ey la mao also git gud nigger
Anthony Reed
While I agree with this statement >second half is unfinished crap izalith especially The rest is wrong, you're a shit player and probably a shit person too
Thomas Kelly
Soulsborne fans don't like the games themselves; they played them exclusively to experience the lore and atmosphere and would be happy if the games removed the combat and were just exploration.
Brayden Walker
You're 100% wrong and an idiot.
Benjamin Gonzalez
stop playing the Switch version retard
Wyatt Allen
The only issue with the switch version is the confirm button being B. Other than that it is the best version of the game.
Matthew Hall
And the low framerate And the low resolution And the compressed sound
Landon Jones
he's right and you're simply a deluded soulscuck
Carson Richardson
Everyone posting muh switch boogeyman. It's a perfectly fine console get over it.
Cooper Cox
Do you have a $2000 gaming PC? If not, everything you’re playing is a shit version
Xavier Ramirez
And despite all of those short-comings, it's still a great game that I beat for the first time on the switch.
Everything post Anor Londo was pretty meh, but the game as a whole package is one of the best games ever made period.
Alexander Perry
nobody is complaining about the console, only the quality of the port
Brandon Smith
No, I'm 100% right and you know it. If you try to make a Soulsborne thread discussing gameplay it always goes 404 with maybe 10 or 15 posts; meanwhile a lore thread may reach 500 posts in no time. And let's not forget how a youtuber became rich by making Soulsborne lore videos; people watched his videos for thousands of hours instead of spending that time playing the game.
Thomas Ortiz
>is the best version of the game PC is the best version of the game
>$2000 gaming PC Mine is a $600 gaming PC (pretty much a toaster) and runs the game at 60 fps; far, far better than the Switch version.
Oliver James
Wtf are you talking about? Everybody loves souls because the gameplay is fun and challenging, and it's addicting getting better. The lore and setting are good, but secondary
David Sullivan
How funny. You Nintendo fans always shat on Dark Souls relentlessly. "Edgy Zelda bootleg" and the like. And now that you are able to play it you praise it. It's the same with multiplats: during the WiiU era you always preached the narrative that multiplats aren't real games. Now that the Switch has no special snowflake hardware and developers can actually port to the thing, you proudly show charts of games available for the Switch, 60% of them being multiplats.
Jeremiah Sanchez
>fun >challenging "Gets havel armor+great club and proceed to poise trough the game"
Connor Murphy
I still have to meet the first Soulsborne fan who genuinely enjoyed playing the games. It's always >Muh lore >Muh atmosphere
I personally enjoyed playing the Dark Souls trilogy and Bloodborne (never played Demon's) without understanding or caring why I killed all of those zombie-like enemies, giant armored guys or monsters, but I don't consider myself a true Soulsborne fan; I'm just a simpleton who likes action games where you murder shit with bladed weapons so, for example, I liked Nioh as much as the Soulsborne titles and I'm getting into the Devil May Cry series.
Ayden Jackson
the tension induced by possible combat at every corner contributes a lot to the atmospere actually, so you're kinda wrong there
Samuel Phillips
Not at all. They didn't like being forced to fight and being killed every step.
Dylan Price
okay, so try different weapons?
>I still have to meet the first Soulsborne fan who genuinely enjoyed playing the games I do. I don't know all about the lore, the gameplay is the reason why I like it.
James Wright
you're a pleb. the first time i got cursed i knew i was playing a real fucking video game again finally.
Robert Ortiz
Bloodborne just sucks ass. Shitty frame pacing. Low definition textures. A color palette that consists of like 3 colors. Bad anti-aliasing. Easy as fuck (I beat it in one night). Annoying and unpleasant world design. PVP is fully broken and the devs never bothered to fix it. Only enjoyable parts are a couple of the bosses but none of them beat me more than like twice (only wet nurse, gerhman, and the cage-head guy beat me at all). I never did the DLC but this game is so migraine inducing to me that I will never play it again until they fix the performance issues. I hate the trick weapons and gun parries. Feels like you have 10 billion frames to parry everything. This game is just Shadow the Hedgehog: Dark Souls Edition. Just a thoroughly unenjoyable game that does not deserve the praise it gets
Aaron Carter
Then you aren't a real Soulsborne fan. You're just someone like me, a fan of action games.
Cooper Reed
They also fingered your mom last night, source: just trust me bro
Eli Green
what the fuck is even your point, retard what if someone enjoys both the gameplay and the lore jesus
Carson Wright
When people say they had to rush the end of the game do they literally mean they were given 30 minutes to do it? They just slapped like 20 ass ends of a dragon in some lava and called it a day
Robert Reed
>what if someone enjoys both the gameplay and the lore Never seen that happen. Someone who enjoys the lore and atmosphere (99% of the Soulsborne players) sees the gameplay as an annoyance, an obstacle between them and new item descriptions to read and speculate. Someone who enjoys the gameplay (1% of the Soulsborne players, and that's being generous) doesn't need anything else.
Blake Bailey
I enjoy both, but I'm sure that's false for some reason.
Benjamin Ramirez
"Gets wolf ring havel and knight set with uchi and proceed to bleed through the game"
Jason Morales
Nice numbers, did you pull them out of your ass?
Jordan Davis
It's a combination of both, retard. There's a reason so many souls players don't like nioh. They didn't even invent a setting, they just took the most overused event in all of Japanese history, awkwardly dropped a Western weeb hero into the middle of it, then chucked existing folklore demons in for him to fight. No it doesn't matter that William is technically named after a real guy. The Demon aspect of the plot which is the only part they actually wrote themselves is teenage fan fiction tier. We don't need a Gary Stu author insert story about a bad guy who wants to use magical power crystals to take over the world you fuck. It's not even a good telling of the history, the only people finding themselves engrossed in this are people who've somehow never heard the history of Sengoku era Japan. Which is like playing Wolvenstein because you want to learn more about World War 2.
Nolan Carter
It says a lot when Matthewmatosis, the de-facto representative of the Soulsborne fanbase as a whole, is very vocal about how the gameplay and combat in these games is absolute shit (especially when compared to other action or action RPG series) and the lore is the only reason you should bother with them in the first place.
Camden Cruz
>(99% of the Soulsborne players) sees the gameplay as an annoyance, an obstacle between them and new item descriptions to read and speculate. lol 99% of people never read a single item description
Alexander Long
samefagging also says a lot, for example that you a faggot
Jordan Adams
cool source retard
Blake Sullivan
nah. portable switch play is better than PC. >playing in bed >on the couch >cooking in the kitchen >in the bathroom
Jack Brooks
>Matthewmatosis, the de-facto representative of the Soulsborne fanbase as a whole fucking kill yourself, mattjewfagtosis patreon shill
Not at tall. It's good that you mention Nioh because it's proof of that. From a gameplay standpoint it's better than Soulsborne in many aspects; Soulsborne fans didn't like it because it had no lore and atmosphere. As simple as that.
Kayden Evans
Have you tried not sucking?
John Allen
I agree with all of this and still love the game.
Nathaniel Butler
The game is shit, but people like to pretend it is hard (is not hard at all).
Carter Powell
IDK it's pretty good
Jayden Rivera
TLOU wasn't immune from criticism in his review though? He complimented plenty of things about it and his overall take was that it was an enjoyable game but he did come down on the "contrived stages that even the stupidest idiot could figure out" "repetitive, uninspired puzzles" and "hamfisted message about mankind's effect on the planet that he would have been much happier about had the developer not thrown it in his face before he could figure it out on his own"
Josiah Bell
Nope, it was because of many many other things. >very little variation of mobs/enemies >bosses were meh >level design is just okay >diablo style loot system >no asymmetrical drop in/out co-op and pvp >boring setting and greater narrative
Nolan Lee
Fuck no. I like playing around with fun weapons.
Connor Moore
>playing in bed Just put a TV in your bedroom. >on the couch Just hook your PC to your 50" 4k TV. Million times better than whatever switch has to offer in both portable and console mode. >cooking in the kitchen Are you brain damaged? >in the bathroom How long does it take to take a shit? 2 minutes? 5 minutes top? Do you really have to have to constantly play video games? Not to mention all the shit particles that will get on your switch and that you later bring to your bed.
Hunter Anderson
Who
Easton Walker
Weird how he's spent entire videos praising the gameplay then, and barely ever mentions lore. He once said the combat on its own was "nothing special", but in the context that what makes it special is its place in the rest of the game's design and how the games work holistically.
Benjamin Rivera
>very little variation of mobs/enemies And still better than many of Soulsborne's regular enemies >bosses were meh Opinions. >level design is just okay Opinions >diablo style loot system Nothing wrong with that and it makes the game unique >no asymmetrical drop in/out co-op and pvp There is Soulsborne-like co-op. In fact there is a co-op variant far more interesting than Soulsborne's co-op. >boring setting and greater narrative And this is the important point here: you just want your lore and atmosphere, not a good game.
We're done here. Keep jerking off to some rusted coin description.
Andrew Davis
Literally no one thinks that way.
Nolan Gomez
this was intended for
Jack Clark
anybody who uses the 99% statistic 99% pulled it out of their ass
Nolan Thomas
I dropped Nioh because it was mission based, the Diablo loot system and the levels I played were super boring
Levi Scott
>nintendo fans are one person
Leo Rogers
Nothing wrong with the first two, and you need to be insane if you think Nioh is boring. The problem is, you simply can't enjoy a game that isn't a Souls 1:1 clone. What are you going to do with your life now that From stopped making those games?
Christopher Evans
get good
Brandon Carter
>What are you going to do with your life now that From stopped making those games? He doesn't know.
>izalith >unfinished why do people keep lying to themselves by saying this? It was intended to be like that. You weren't ever going to get anything else. Fucking deal with it.
Kevin James
Would you rather them be like PCfags and say "WOW THIS IS THE GAME YOU ALL PRAISED SO MUCH ITS FUCKING SHIT" like with Vanquish. Then again you wouldn't want it either way and would bitch regardless.
Kevin Roberts
>>invaders are 50% hackers and 50% muh duel fags This is your only decent point, I bought the Remaster on day 1 and withing the first couple days people were ONLY using the most cheap PvP builds and invading with twinks. Only way to have fun is to use cheap shit as well. I feel sorry for new players though
I own a PC, a PS4, and a switch because I'm not a poor NEET who's retarded enough to exhibit brand loyalty. Also I own it on PC as well. Got it for the switch because I figured I'd be able to pick it up and play it that much more and I was right.
