Soroban told you directly after Doma Castle that he couldn't find Gosetsu's body anywhere which should have been a major tell for anyone with a brain.

the end game raiding is the best ive ever seen and ive tried multiple mmos.
You can clear content with randos (pug parties) just fine but its not as consistent and reliable as a static. Finding a static is pretty simple, finding a good static can be difficult.

So yeah the end game raiding is where its at. Levelling from 1-50 is pretty dull, 50-70 is pretty entertaining cause thats when the story + your class really opens up.

I did the same, was actually really good fun. Stormblood when done as a whole is also really good, though personally I much prefer the Doman side of the story and the Doman areas to the Ala Mhigger story and maps

HW stroy for the feel of adventure of explooration was awesome, and Stormblood with Zenos as the target and the focus on leading arebellion was great as well.

You're actually in luck in that event, you can hook a keyboard and mouse into your PS4 and play it like a desktop MMO. And even failing that, the game's controller play-scheme is actually very intuitive, even a lot of PC players will use a gamepad.

Churning Mists definitely could've used more color, but the story through there (after the fucking moogles) is amazing so it kind of still made me like it even if the part you're generally in doesn't look impressive.

Machinist is kinda a mess right now. Your biggest damage cooldown is tied to your ping, heat gauge serves no purpose other than to use 1 specific weaponskill, and you contribute less raid DPS than bard while having less personal DPS than other jobs.

It can still clear content and do things fine, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now compared to BRD.

It's impossible to make DRK any worse than it currently is.

SSS is also timed which is the adjustment for mechanics. You will have more uptime in the fight than SSS allows. While it's not perfect, it is adequate.

They don't want to actually have DPS players have to take responsibility for fucking up because the game currently does everything possible to ensure that DPS have literally no responsibility in a fight whatsoever. They don't even have any real DPS checks besides a dummy that doesn't even require you to do good enough DPS to clear a fight. A parser would go against their mentality of coddling bad players as to avoid hurting their feelings instead of indicating to them that they're doing something wrong and having adequate tutorials for jobs or even just emphasizing the fact that people should read their fucking tooltips. I was in your shoes literally 4 years ago. same class, same race, same situation. lancer is boring as shit until you become a dragoon, but dragoon honestly never clicked for me so I went rogue and never looked back.

dragoon is pretty fun at later levels but it has one of the worst leveling experiences next to MCH and SMN. Try something like monk or bard if you want something that starts a bit faster

Yes, sometimes they do. I don't mean to dismiss the problem of poorly performing players. But it seems it is two fold. There is no good learning resources, and outside of the JP data center, learning fights do not exist. Nobody wants to learn or teach in the other servers.
