Really makes you think

Let it go, Junior.

it will never be released. Unfortunately Valve doesn't make games anymore and even if they did, I don't think that a HL3 could live up to the expectations.

The wait is almost over... We're going home bros.

People who were born after ep2 came out are posting on this board right now.

Half Life 2 was never good, people just give it more credit than it deserves for the tech. Same shit with fucking Doom 3, but people came to realize it wasn't that good of a game when HL2 blew it the fuck out in the tech department.

>crowbar is integral part of gameplay
>physics-based game
>robot headcrabs

And it's a Valve game

HL2 doesn't hold up but HL1 and the episodes do.

What shithole do you live in where you die at 48?

>loved both HL1 and HL2 growing up as a kid
>replayed them both to death
>gonna turn 21 years and the only thing I got was reading Epistle 3

I gave up at this point.

feels bad man

No, it's not. It's just included with their pack. Mad Max is in there as a tech demo -- just like this game -- but it isn't a valve game.

Major ehhhh. Episode 2 has some of the best music in the series and Episode 1 has some really fucking cool sections but they both start off as massive slogs, EP1 especially, but EP1 is really cool because everything past the citadel chapter is the Streetwar chapters from HL2 and it's beta, but as a full-ish game. It's really fun. EP2 is just a boring ass roadtrip that demonstrated Valve is already out of ideas.

Fuck off this isn't a thread for contrarian Yea Forumsaggots to rehash the same line over and over again you fucking robot.

quite accurate. HL1 has better gunplay, enemy and encounter variety, and moment-to-moment gameplay than HL2, while the episodes have fun setpieces, good character moments, and don't overstay their welcome. Episode 2 is probably my favorite game in the series.

I was 11 when HL2 came out
I turn 26 in 5 days. I've waited more than half my life

>Mad Max is in there as a tech demo
That's the Mad Max movie and it's there because they were testing out the video player, the best guess is that Boneworks is there because they're using it as a framework for testing VR and the Knuckles, the Boneworks devs said they were working with Valve before.

Episode One is literally just a retread of the last quarter of 2, how can it be better than the base game?

Fuck off faggot, this isn't a hugbox where opinions you disagree with aren't allowed.

I'm not saying HL2 is overrated because I'm a contrarian, you fucking delusional sheep, I'm saying it's overrated because it doesn't actually do anything half as interesting as the beta or heaven forbid the fucking first game did. If any other game came out with boring enemies, awful gunplay, and extremely gimmicky sections, not to mention the shitty in-universe cutscenes, it'd be panned universally, but because the Valve logo is on it and they had like 5+ years of hype building it up, people think HL2 is somehow anything other than a mediocre tech demo.

Because it skips the bullshit and actually cuts to the good parts of HL2.

HL2 base is half a game but the episodes are considerably worse products with even cringier, overly familiar dialogue.

What an embarassing opinion.

What a pathetic post. It's okay to dislike popular things.

And it's okay for me to call you a huge DUMMY for having shitty opinions, you huge dummy.

It's easy to call opinions shit when you can't think of anything actually wrong with them.

It's okay to disagree user. You don't have to be so offended.
