higher if you skip 2 as you should
Finishing the games once isn't hard nor does it take long, don't recomend rushing the series tho.
Are you any good at character action games? They're pretty short, so if you're not a casual you can do it
Do you have a job? If not, you can probably finish them before it comes out. If so, you can only finish them if you're good enough.
Just play the games at your own pace and put 5 on the backburner until they're finished.
>as you should
nah fuck off play every game in the series and form your own opinion
I'm yet to see anyone who formed a "2 is good" opinion, though.
doesn't matter play the game to form your own opinion on why it's good or bad when you tell people to not play a specific game it hurts discussions about said series later when the entire thread is filled with people who never played 2 and are just parroting what everyone else told them
then he can just do that after he played 5. Op implied he is in a rush so why should he now play a bad game that is also at the current end of the canonical timeline?
you should play all games in release order
This is the only true patrician way to play anyother is for faggots who don't actually enjoy games
>character action games
fuck off redditor
>you can only finish them if you're good enough
The lower difficulties aren't hard tho and if you just want to finish the games you can use items which trivialise the game anyway.
sorry i can't take crowbcat seriously since he shills VR trash
You can finish all four games within one to two days.
>Oh no! Somebody used a word that is not ina "approved Yea Forums words" vocabulary.
Fuck off, newfag.
>use a reddit phrase
>upset when exposed as a redditor
kek
Anything can be Reddit if you’re autistic enough
nah. nobody ever called them "character action games" until TotalAsscancer coined the term as well as the even worse "spectacle fighter". the rest of us have been playing these games since the PS2 era and know what the genre is actually called.
i'm in the process of doing this. with my fulltime job, it took me about a week to get to where i am now, halfway through 4.
it's doable if you have nothing but free time, but just go ahead and skip 2. in fact, you could've skipped 1 too.
Don't bother with 2 and 4, they're trash. Just play 3 and look up a plot summary of 4.
correct answer
It’s not that bad outside of the infected tanks/chopper parts.
2 is so mind numbingly dull and inconsequential to the franchise that the only reason one should ever touch it is so you know first hand exactly why it's bad
lower if you kys, as you should.
>inconsequential to the franchise
this is wrong. it actually introduced a ton of series standards. it's shit, but it did more to get the series to where it is today than 1 did.
No one had a consensus back in PS2 days either. Some people just called them action games, others used "hack n slash" which I learned first from games like Diablo and Dungeon Siege.
Character Action works best since everyone knows imediately what's the game about. Isn't that what genres are meant to convey?
Each game is like 5 hours long tops so pretty good.
what you're saying is true but unless you're really interested in seeing how the series turned from 1 to 3 you might as well just go straight to 3 since the story in 2 is literally nothing and it takes nearly every decent idea 2 had but made it fun.
Possible if you do normal difficulty but 2 is such a drag
>Character Action works best since Reddit and the based Cynical Brit (F) use it.
cringe
i agree. i just recently played it for the first time and was surprised how much stuff in the game is considered signature dmc that wasn't in 1.
it's still a dumpster fire of a game, it's just interesting how many people will jump on it without knowing that without it, dmc today would probably be completely different.
Is it ok to give up on DMC3 DMD and move on to 4? I've died 10 times now on mission 2 because I can't get the boss Reapers attack patterns down. The guy just looks like a black blurry shit i can't see what he's doing.
up to you buddy no one is forcing you to beat any game on any difficulty but yourself
quit caring what a bunch of Yea Forumsirgins think of you and start enjoying games more
How can anyone think that 4 was genuinely "bad".
>I-its unfinished. Uhhhhhhh, I don't like backtracking.
I hope you're not a fan of Metal Gear Rising. I can beat that faster than Nero's first half in 4. The first time I played DMC4, I honestly thought the game was almost over, and then suddenly I'm playing Dante. I didn't mind the backtracking, I was like "cool, I get to stlye on everything Nero wasn't a bad enough dude to finish before". I do not get the hate for 4. DMC3 and 4 are two of my all time favorite games. MGR and Bayo too. Fuck everyone that thinks you gotta swear your autistic allegiance to one thing.
ignore fags who insult 4 they're people who got into the game super late into the series and just blindly follow whatever anyone else says
What's funny is that I played the games in the most dipshit order for the DMC franchise. For me it was 2-3-1-4-DmC. 3 was out when I got into the series. I was excited for 3SE, and 4, and 4SE and I wasn't let down at any point until I realized that DmC was a reboot. Having started with 2, it's a miracle I became a fan at all. I only remember that I thought Dante looked cool, and that's why I picked up the others.
DMC1 has aged like old ham due to the shit camera. DMC2 is pretty much the worst game in the series. Skip them both.
dmc2 isn't really that bad of a game it's easily the worst dmc game but it's overblown the hatred for it
Even if you do rush through them by then you'll probably get burnt out and barely touch V yes V not 5 you ingrate.
>DMC1 has aged like old ham due to the shit camera.
and don't forget
>underwater
>first person
>shooter
>inverted camera
>sections
