I really enjoy playing through cinematic mod, but only for the visual changes. Luckily it's decently modular so you can turn off the new combat additions, gun models, tone down the bloom signifcantly, and most inportantly.... USE THE ORIGINAL MUSIC. Only a real chimp would want to replace half life music with hollywood trash.
