OP here. So I, uh, didn't want to shill or anything, but I just downloaded all of Locomalito's free games, and created this thread because I wanted to continue the freeware downloading spree. So I'll definitely be playing The Curse of Issyos, especially if that screenshot actually depicts how bad-ass the game is.

It's a freeware open world/life sim/roguelike/JRPG and it's really great and fun.

Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles 1 and 2 are two AMAZING fan games made by a huehue developer that works basiacally alone but managed to create better games than anything Konami has crapped out in half a decade.

Someone made a standalone Castlevania fangame on GZDoom called Simon's Destiny. Not sure how good it is though.

The suffering, full game. Don't remember the story behind it, but it's freeware now. I don't think you will find bigger freeware game than this. Also it's apparently pretty good.
