The complete version plus the Code Denzel prequel anime is actually pretty good. Really makes you care more for Denzel as a character and explains the plot of the film better.

Sephiroth coming back was lame and shoehorned in as fuck, but what do you expect, really. In the end it was pretty good for what it was.

He was a little bit down because his GF got impaled in front of him, he was temporarily paralyzed, his hero turned out to be a mentally ill psychopath, his best friend died saving his life, his memories were fake and he failed to stop a meteor from destroying his home city. And yet, despite all of this he never complains once and acts heroically at every given occasion.

I think the movie might have just come out at the wrong time during the emo panic of the early to mid 2000s.

I unironically think this game was fucking great and would rather play through it again than play any shitty modern TPS like The Last of Us, Uncharted, Gears of War etc.

It added heaps of good shit to the FF7 lore. Only slightly lame part was Hojo coming back which would be fine if they added in a hidden bonus scene foreshadowing it in the FF7 remake (they won't though).

How is Cloud developing a weird guilt complex about letting Aerith die out of character.
Him being unable to deal with it as time went on is the best possible development of him.
People also seem to just ignore that he overcomes that stuff and grows by the end of the movie.

I wouldn't care about its existence if largely the same people weren't behind it, then it wouldn't make me question whether there was really anything good about FFVII to begin with. Just find it hard to believe that unless even the original game's magic was all about me being an easy to impress kid, they could have pumped out this utterly soulless thing.

They simply thought that people who liked FF7 are just anime’s fans but FF7 is really different that than. Battles in FF7 can be considered apart from the main story but in the movie it’s the main core of it so people get mad.

I’m so afraid that the remake will add all those shitty spinoff characters that are useless to the story, I don’t wanna see any of those gay anime characters in my game.

The one thing that really scares me about the remake is the very real possibility that they'll correct "Ungarmax".
