What would a Persona game set in America be like?
What would a Persona game set in America be like?
Insanely patronizing, probably.
school shooting related, probably
The worst kind of gay shit.
the characters would be fat
this is an american persona character
Like the dead note Netflix movie
all of the girls would be used goods
>not posting the birthday snatcher
Probably like P5, but instead of car and train accidents it would be school and mall shootings, and instead of saying "fuck adults" Ryuji (or Kyle as he would be known) would say "fuck the political party I'm opposed to" whichever one that is
the party would summon personas by eating food, and the MC's food would be a burger (Wild Card represented by putting different toppings on the burger)
Party constantly tries to destroy each other
Every demon uses guns
The Velvet Room is run down and has an open screendoor in the back
It would actually be good.
>YOU ARE JAPANESE
>Every demon uses guns
>Muh guns
Kill yourself.
Depends on who made it. If it's ATLUS themselves making a game set in America, it'd probably be hilarious and stupid. Because there's no fucking way in hell these people know anything about American social norms or how American high school works beyond a casual watching of the Breakfast Club. It'd be worth playing just to see how badly they fuck it up, but at the very least, it'd probably still be a competent, even good JRPG. You have to remember that ATLUS is quintessentially a Japanese company, and no matter how many west-inspired pop/jazz music tracks Meguro writes, that is not going to change. Every single game they've ever made has been the result of a bunch of Japanese people who lived in Japan their whole lives and work in a Japanese company. I mean, even Catherine, which takes place in America, is almost entirely inspired by famous American movies rather than the result of an in-depth understanding of American culture, and all the characters more or less act like born and raised Japanese citizens anyway. So if you're actually wondering what this hypothetical game would be like, it would be laughable, but also probably fun.
Or, if they actually outsourced the project to an American company and/or team, then it'd probably be shit. And I'm not saying that the west can't make good games, because they can't. They really can. But from my experience, whenever a western company and/or team get their hands on a fundamentally Japanese IP and try to put their own spin on it, it usually ends up awful. Because part of the appeal of many of these games are their inherent Japanese-ness, and there is very little way an American team will be able to truly understand that. More to the point, they'd try to "own" the product and give it an identity "separate" from the original source, and that will almost definitely result in Grade A Shit.
See, i wouldn’t be opposed to the idea, but the reason persona is popular is because of kawaii japanese waifus and weeb shit.
>that (((nose)))
Are they redpilled?
i dunno man, you tell me.
>Ayo let's finna ice these shadows
>Let's finna
Let's gonna, you dumb cunt?
>Persona USA
>time for holocaust class
>every single romantic interest is of another race, including the tranny
>theme is school shootings
>complaining about how your gibberish is used
If you can't tell nobody says that shit unironically here.
Well, knowing Atlus America it would probably have you as an almost all-girl team with the only guys being gay beta cucks. You would all be fighting the patriarchy and the final boss would be Trump like how Persona 2 had Hitler as the final boss.
