idk i never have
most i've given is an prime sub
Most of the time they don't realise the streamer is already making hundreds of thousands a year and they think they're actually helping them out with the $2 they donate. When Thijs, a Hearthstone streamer, won $250k last year at a tournament he was constantly getting donations telling him to be careful with the money, don't waste it etc. They are entirely clueless that popular streamers are already millionaires.
because zoomers are absolute dogshit at understanding the concept of value.
Because it's hard work and they deserve the money.
People don't donate to streamers, only subhuman trash does.
What percentage of people who watch streams actually donate? I'm curious if there's any hard numbers out there on this.
Well your first mistake is thinking that those subhuman troglodytes are “people” to begin with.
>constantly getting donations telling him to be careful with the money, don't waste it etc
Thats ironic
95% of donators do it for attention, 5% feel morally obligated to pay for each millisecond of content
Social media for spergs and shutins
If I like their content and want them to do more I give them money for it. That's all
I'm trying to start streaming, any advice? I just started a week ago, but it's weird talking to no one and your only viewers are my PC and my phone opened to the stream.
I added a couple of these Twitch thots on Instagram and offered them money for sex/nudes and they blocked me :(
Too late now
hivemind mentality. one person figures "hey ive got some money to burn, might as well give it to this guy". but thats how every viewer with money to burn thinks
does watching someone else play a video game instead of playing it yourself make you a cuckold?
only if they're playing a game that stars your waifu/husbando
i got Amazon Prime
Play games that you enjoy.
Definitely, yes
Im amazon prime. No ads and 1 free sub is good enough. Seeing other people donate 100000 bits pretty crazy though. No one is worth that. Not even if youre getting a private pussy show
I cancelled mine after they stopped doing pre-order discounts, I don't see the value in the service anymore. I don't mind waiting a week to get whatever garbage I'm buying off of there.
They want to feel like someone likes and/or appreciate them. Honestly if more people could actually get out there and make real friends streamers would be fucked
Why
Yeah so far it seems like people say to do this and stream with a constant schedule.
The roastie thing is a meme, it's a lottery, some vagainas are like that.
My mom for example has a pussy like a baby, you can't see the labia
Yet my sister has a big labia even when she was a virgin
Same as the "uncut dicks smell" thing
I am cut and mine smells in just two days of not showering while my the dick of my father, who only showers once a week, never smells.
yeah, consistent schedule helps a lot, not everyone is a NEET who checks their followed channels 24/7
Donating $5 or less? I don't know, I guess it's like giving money to a street performer. People do that, you know. Twitch streamers who earn money from donations -- and, really, all of the people who gets money on Patreon -- are the street performers of the internet. Well, actually, some of them are more like homeless beggars. But whatever. Even in real life, people sometimes give each other money when literally nothing is owed.
As for donating large sums, I think it's usually mental illness. Apparently some people are so lonely that they give money to internet celebrities in order to be noticed. It makes them feel like they have a friend. I guess there are also some people who are just so rich that they can throw money around for no good reason.
tough choices

This is the true answer and shitposters will ignore it. If you like someone's personality/gameplay style, you'll want them to stream more, and donating means they don't have to wageslave and have more time for streaming. The same goes for twitch thots, but the donaters just want to tap to her titties/feet more

Wait a minute is your father uncut?
hmmmmm
O-oh
Fresh pasta, huh? Can I get some sauce to go with that?

I don’t because I’m a cheapskate but it doesn’t seem totally crazy to toss someone entertaining you some money. Like performers on the street with a hat out.
I don’t understand the people that donate 10s, 100s, or maybe even 1000s of dollars or those that tune in for hours every day though
Tell us more about your family.

Because they can
i mean your picture nailed it, i imagine this thread is to try and get people to post some mental gymnastics about how they are supporting a small streamer bla bla bla
im subbed to one streamer, moonmoon_ow
I am subbed to him because when he was playing ark, i spammed in his chat to play sea shanty 2 from runescape ost as he had been playing runescape music all stream
he then played it, a gachi version of it, and i love gachi
I have no way to prove he even saw my message, but that chat interaction made me sub to him
only coming up to 3 months now and I imagine I'll stop renewing when I lose interest, but genuinely that alone made me sub to him
its a literal waste of money, i get nothing out of it, but i will continue to do it because his stream entertains me and i can tell him to suck my dick when i resub
It's a strange thing, i understand throwing a couple bucks to some one you consistently come to for entertainment and it's a way of living for some people but at the same time some people give so much fucking money to streamers, especially girl streamers that it boggles my mind.
I always wonder when some e-girl gets donated some stupid some of money does she think "wow my fans really love me" or "another sucker" and in a sick way i really hope its the latter
>$100k a month without even including all the donations
I love sumsum he's just like me
Should have started with a crew, I don't want to see a weirdo talking to himself. There are very few who can make that entertaining, and chances are if you're asking that question, you're probably not one already. You'd be more natural and funner with someone else.

For a lot of people several thousands is literally nothing. If you entertain someone who is filthy rich, he will give as much as he feels like giving you.
>tfw have an idea for a stream but it requires at least 5 people to be on schedule and my work has me on erratic hours as it is
>When Thijs, a Hearthstone streamer, won $250k
>$250k
>TWO HUNDRED AND FUCKING FIFTY THOUSAND GOD DAMN DOLLARS
For fucks sake. With that kind of money I could live comfortably for years.
You have to viewbot yourself. It's that simple. You do it over a week, giving yourself 50-100 more views each day. This is the ONLY way to separate yourself from the thousands of 0- and 1- viewer people.
The only other option is to stream snipe and sick suck a streamer until some of their viewers rub off on you. But this is less likely to work
I did it for attention. I stopped though.
How the fuck do you even know these things?
I'd never wish to see my mother's or my sister's snatch for fuck sake
>spend several 100€ to my favorite streamer
>be on top 3 list of donators
>meet streamer in real at the gamescom
>talk to him and telll him I'm user
"user who? Don't know ya bro, sorry"
I've considered going through the mild inconvenience of setting up twitch prime from amazon prime just because I like the dude I watch and would like him to continue. That image doesn't even apply to him since he doesn't have sub notifications and talks to everyone in chat anyway.
If you invested it properly you could probably live off the passive income for the rest of your life if you weren't retarded.
Their loss for passing on the offer of a lifetime. Such an opportunity will not present itself twice, that's for sure.
LE PUT ME IN LE SCREENSHOT FAEC LMAO!
I donate to streamers, always anonymously if I have the option. I use it to shitpost and to get answers to questions. That being said, all of the streamers that I watch have less than 300 viewers at any given time, so they usually don't set their donation requirements super high, which helps. Song donations are fun, too.
Stop posting this fucking cancer meme tourists.
Is this copy pasted from leddit
>complaining about what other people do with their money
Why? I've never donated to a streamer, but it really makes no difference to me.
>Modern kids watch others play video games to look at their facial reaction and trick their brains into thinking they are socializing
>slowly their delusion increases
>they begin feeling part of the streamers career and donate money
>the delusion increases
>they eventually believe they are best friends with someone they never met
>they start typing in chat as if the streamer knows them personally
There are literally thousands like that. And it's not just men falling in love with female streamers, it's also grown ass men seeing value in a failed star craft player or a nobody who can't play jack shit and having their entire lives revolve around watching them and thinking they have a connection.
Our brains and psychology didn't evolve for modern society and much can be said about this.
M8 I told you this on Yea Forums, we flog and 'ang bastards like you in the king's army. Now stop bloody crossposting.
Not sure whether to feel envious or disgusted.
Most people don't grow up in families that close
because they want to probably
Because people are lonely. Not only lonely but lonely in the face of a massive constant backdrop of a society that smiles as it crushes the unfashionable. For in reality, that is the crime of modern social pariahs. To not produce accelerating rates of surface cultural skin that can be discarded and remolded to the fickle needs of ever-more fickle times. But we are concerned with loneliness and the need to assauge it with the means given.
There's also a silent cultural mass of plain outcasts, cripples, etc. who get something from being part of a stream that would otherwise be impossible in real life.
>But why donate?
Because it's a dependable button for Calhoun's mice to get relief. Even the "beautiful ones" get lonely. Maybe they are the most lonely, not seeing their society as a fair exchange of effort to even risk external investment into social upheaval.
Based
I see it as the equivalent of buying the streamer a beer/coffee, once a month.
Play a game you enjoy and do it consistently. You won't ever get popular unless you stream often and for a long time.
Only autists of the highest degree do.
