Now that the Vita is 100% hacked, what exactly can a hacked PSVita do? What are excited for on it, and what would you like to see done with it?

General PSVita discussion thread.

imagine being a Vita hacker, you got the VITA at launch and was hoping you could hack it so piracy of all the great titles that were sure to come would be feasible but then years later you're met with the disaster that was the vita.

So far the only thing I've done with mine is get the sd2vita thing so i didnt have to deal with the horrible sony memory cards

I'm assuming by "100% hacked", you mean that it is able to be successfully hacked provided you have all of the information on what unit you're using. I don't want people to misunderstand this shit and run out to buy a Vita only to find out it's fucking useless for hacks.

Vita is finally reaching the end of it's life cycle, which will inevitably lead to the latest firmware being hacked openly. For now, I'd say it's like 70% hacked. Hopefully it's just a few more months away.

Why is N64 emulation so GARBAGE on Vita?

Any tips to make it smoother?

it's nearly parallel to the 3DS when it comes to backwards compatibility

3DS -> DS -> GBA
Vita -> PSP -> PS1 (not perfect but great)

in addition to emulators, that gives it a pretty good extended library for one machine. it's unfortunate that the CPU is so weak, if it ran cool with good battery life at 1GHz it would cover the shortcomings with SNES emulation.

sell your vita and get a n64

All models and firmwares are hackable now.

I can't play N64 on the bus ya dingus.

Should you count GBA since most things can do it? I thought GBA was kinda lumped in with NES, SNES and Genesis in terms of ease of emulation.

Really? Even on a first model? If anything that propietary memory, no piracy and lack of good exclusives killed it.

I don't even know. I would love it to run a modified version of PCSX2, but with its small RAM, I don't think it will ever work out.

I can't even play my Vita anymore because the left control stick drifts whenever I touch it.

Is there really a N64 Emulator available for hacked Vita? I’d be interested in that

Get yourself a Vita while you can.

Dunning-Kruger in full effect here

GBA on Vita is mostly the same shit as PSP so some games still end up having problems.

LMAO, that's like telling someone to get a garbage Shitch.

>Piracy
>Saving a console

>what exactly can a hacked PSVita do? What are excited for on i
Nothing. Everyone moved to Switch development so we get cruddy emulators. They took too long to crack it.

>(not perfect but great)
Vita/PSP's PS1 emulator is the only one that can fucking play Spyro correctly

How do I do?

>$269 on Amazon

no thanks.

You could buy one now while they are cheap or you could wait until they are in high demand and pay out the ass.

If I could user I'd sell you mine for 100$.

I think I might.

Anons believe getting everything for free makes the industry function.

But user, with the internet anything is possible

I bought like 40 PSP games. I initially only bought it to hack it to play PS1 games. I pirated almost every game before I bought it. Being able to try games before I bought them was the only reason I even played a ton of games on the PSP.

Yup, literally all vitas out there are now fair game.

nope
vba-next with an overclock is full speed on pretty much every game I've tried, including MMBN and golden sun

Had a 3DS for a time.
But PS Vita Neo Geo emulator, GBA emulation and PSP/PSX titles are just far superior.
Also Daedalus x64 is still developing.

Why the fuck OP says every firmware? Had one hacked PSVita on 3.60 but bought a PS TV with 3.70 and there's nothing I could do with it rite nao.

vita can be hacked up to 3.8, with future hacks for higher firmware just around the corner. sony is defeated because future updates can't patch it.

Yeah yeah I know that but TheFlow hasn't released anything yet.
So Today I can't hack my PS TV and you are full of shit for making me check every hack site.

shit man, misread your original post. thought you wrote 3.67. my fault dude.

How do you fix a vita?

Since it seems like more work is being done on the PSM front, does anyone think that there is someone out there with dumpable copies of any of Hamster's Appli Archive games? That was by far the most interesting series of releases on the PSM store, and it's shocking that there isn't a copy dumped yet when there were dozens of games in the collection.

So what's stopping me from buying a PSP Vita and buying a 400GB microSD card and an adapter and putting the entire library on it?

It involves time travel.

>or you could wait until they are in high demand and pay out the ass.
they will never be in high demand, it failed and with the switch and phones it won't be able to live on being a portable emulation device

the firmware bassicaly ..if you have 3.69 and up .. you are fucked ,you will have to wait a year or so
