Games suffer from awful plagues these days and I think they were mostly better in the past, but I'll still try anything that seems good, be it some AAA western game or some niche Japanese or Russian game. There's still good shit out there.

I'd kind of like to get back to that someday. I've been playing video games since 1994, but there's a lot of stuff I missed and I've spent the last few years working on going through that and it's still going to take at least a few years as long as my list doesn't grow too much. I rarely play games when they're new anymore, but I guess I get the perk of getting them cheaper down the line.

it is very important to the immersion for me and it wasn't just hitman, soldier of fortune was also great even the GTA series which in terms of AI peaked in IV.
looking forward I expected things to only get better and more complex but it all got dumbed down and only graphics increased
MGS is probably the only exception where AI didn't turn to utter shit, but that also peaked in MGS 2
