You pretty much answered your own question. The theme behind the final evolutions for that generation was “performers/entertainers”, just as this generation seems to be about athletes. Honestly kind of disappointing that the direction we seem to be going in now is “Here’s a new land based on [Real World Location] and the starters are based on [Theme].”

I kind of like these so they can't be real. Also UK doesnt even have baseball.
