Hold on...son.
youtube.com
i wasn't even that crazy about the game or the story, but the way they used this song at the end was just insanely good
youtube.com
>when you finish some great vidya
~0:22 and up kills me for some reason and i have no idea why, its not like its strongly tied to some emotional scene in the game
youtube.com
youtube.com
this didnt make me cry but this version, and this version only, might have the potential
i dont recall it from the game itself but i think that's because i just killed her after the boss fight. but regardless this is a well-written song and a good piano composition of it
youtube.com
Every time.
Equally,
youtube.com
Always fucking gets me. The music is lovely and the little epilogues on all the characters always does me in.
It was always One Who Craves Souls that gets me. Great soundtrack.
youtube.com
i never played that game and yet my eyes teared up
youtube.com
youtube.com
this melody in all it's many different forms is just so beautiful
youtube.com
I want to go back bros ;_;
youtube.com
oh god it's coming back
youtube.com
>tfw the medal of honor (soul) series is dead forever
sleep tight aniki
youtube.com
"You know, there ain't enough kindness in this world, that's for sure."
>online game that's been online for over a decade gets a conclusive ending that wraps everything up
>the final ending theme is a vocal version of the games main theme, one of the first things the players heard when they logged in the for the first time
>chorus sung by the players themselves
youtube.com
I cry bitch tears every time

Just came from sending my prayers in the Yea Forums thread... Always the boss of my heart.
This guy knows what's up
youtube.com
>11 years old when first playing the game
>Was shit at vidya and had never played HM before, didn't know how to propose/build love properly
>First year finishes, Celia proposes to me
>Wanted to marry Nami so said no
>This music plays
>Takakura gives you this whole "What are you still doing here? Don't you have something better to do? Don't you have any goals in life?" speech and boots you off the farm
>Game returns you to the menu screen
>Turned game off and cried in the bathroom for 20 minutes
youtube.com
This hit me like a ton of bricks back in the day. Realizing that the amazing journey was actually over.,,
THE ASSSSSSHOOOOOLE
I felt only a little upset when Iwata died, but when someone posted this in a memorial thread it really got me good. Fuck.
This.
Was a magical game. I wish some games could capture the wonder of this game again.
(Maybe it was just playing it as a kid, idk)
The one and only song that made me actually shed a tear
youtu.be
youtube.com
This fucking game was way too sad in general
I don't have the required estrogen to cry over a random song, but I like this one
youtube.com
youtube.com
Classic FM, the big classical radio channel here plays vidya music now as of a couple of years ago.
It shows up rarely, but every now and then they’ll suddenly spring To Zanarkand or Aerith’s Theme on me outta nowhere.
youtube.com
>I'm getting you out of here
>No... No you're not
youtube.com
Everyone likes to laud some other Pokemon Mystery Dungeons as tearjerkers but despite the gameplay flaws in Gates it has my favorite music, story and especially my favorite partner. I've actually played through it three times now.
dangit user, right in the feels....
IIIIIII SET MY SAAAAIL

Fuuuuuuuuuuck. Late nights post-highschool pausing Ballad of Gay Tony to text the girl I never built the nerve up to ask out. This really brings me back.
As long as Square doesn't fuck up FF7 Remake, I can die happy
>War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. War, and its consumption of life, has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID tagged soldiers carry ID tagged weapons, use ID tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control. War has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield, controls history. War has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war... becomes routine
Hell yes
youtube.com
call me a fag but this is the moment as a kid I realized paper mario was sick af
youtube.com
This has no right to make me as emotional as it does.
>Tales of the Abyss: The part where Luke is about to sacrifice himself at the Tower of Rem and his party members are begging him not to, and as he's doing it, he realizes he doesn't want to die
My nigga. The ballad for Turnabout Sisters STILL fucking hits me hard to this day.
youtube.com
This entire game and OST made me a fucking wreck. I don't think another game will impact me as hard emotionally.
It’s not tied to any sad moments or anything. It just makes me remember a time I’ll never get back
Unironically youtube.com
I wanna go back, bros...
youtube.com
>tfw used to play Gunz all the time and now its gone
I always crack a tear at the end of SM64.
youtube.com
David Wise is incredible
Comfy channel, thanks user
youtube.com
youtube.com
It makes me remember when I was a kid, so I cry.

Why must you remind me
youtube.com
I want to go back.
Fuck, I miss u so much, bro.
why not go all the way. Truly touching.
>walk into shadow moses in MGS4
>this starts playing
that game wasn't the greatest overall but it had some kino moments
youtube.com
youtube.com
This one hit me especially because I discovered it for myself on a birthday I was alone for
youtube.com
>tfw a video game gave me better birthday wishes than anyone in real life had
man this board is shit
This only makes me sad because Atlus acknowledges that Trauma Center exists but Under the Knife 3DS might still be just a dream because of the Switch.
youtube.com
Actually did cry a bit after beating LoD about a year ago for the first time since middle school, brought me back to a happier, simpler time
youtube.com
Been listening to this a lot lately. Shit gets me so depressed. I want to go back to 2007, what a godly year for games.
The only one that stuck with me. I can hear myself going through the menu.
youtube.com
youtube.com
Game was a blast
youtube.com
It "takes off" after 1:22 min mark, but it really doesn't do much without the in game context.
Man, FFX was a goldmine of feels
I don't think I know any vidya that has ever had as much synergy between emotional scenes and the soundtrack.
There's alot of gorgeous OST:s around, but not many games manage to consistently make me as empathetic as FFX did.
True
youtu.be
>ctrl+f
>no pkmn mystery dungeon
for shame, Yea Forums.
Not only did some people already post stuff from Sky, there's literally a "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" phrase posted.
That one got me a little, but Paper Boats had me bawling.
youtu.be
>Memories of You
>Calm 3
Never Forget
youtube.com
Even when you tell him to fuck off, he fights you so he can free you from the nightmare once your job is over. And then you see him walking on his peg-leg slowly trying to fuck you up. It's so amazing.
Also
>youtube.com
At 2:15 when that piano hits and I realized, late into the night playing DaS3, that the boss' moveset turned into fucking Gwyn. I choked up a bit because it was really unexpected and I hadn't had any spoilers of the game at all. I was feeling tired of Dark Souls already, but at that point in the fight it kind of settled on me that yeah, the 3rd was actually going to be the last one for good.
I'll never understand why people pretend that National Park theme makes them cry, it's not even one of the most "powerful" themes in the games
>"Sorry, pal, but this is the moment I've been waiting for. I have to do this or the anger inside...will not go away."
youtube.com
I didn't need that thought again.
I still miss him.
youtube.com
P3 is still my favorite Persona game.
Sleep tight, aniki.
The most powerful scene on the SNES
youtube.com
youtube.com
Even if everything seems to go wrong...
Even if we're beaten and broken at the end...
We're still above the past.
That's that this song says to me.
>youtube.com
not like this
Man i haven't heard the Halo ost in ages
youtube.com
It always gets me how perfect this ending is, the moment it pans to reveal isara made me legit cry and made me realize how invested i was in this game
I need to finish VC4.
PSO2 had amazing music. Legitimately excellent tracks for everything. It brought back classics with such good life in them, it did wonders for old themes without ruining them, and it just added so much to the adventures. I want to go back to before they added new classes and an abundance of paid items.
>2:13
Goosebumps ALL OVER my fucking body, god damn. I miss early PSO2 so much.
Fucking same, everytime I hear this I remember the mid to late 2000's.
Fuck.
Kinda sounds like staff roll music when you think about it
This composer went on to do animal crossing didnt they
>They're "reviving" this as a battleground you can queue for in the next big patch
I don't know if I like or hate that.
youtu.be
I don't know why. It's not even a sad song.
Ooooohhhh fuck do I miss this zone...
Oh god please no, I know I said I miss it but they’re going to fucking butcher it
youtu.be
It’s not sad by any means I don’t think, but fuck going through Heavensward for the first time was something special for me
They somehow did it right, actually. It's LITERALLY the same thing, just scaled to 120. I tried it out on the PTR when they did a playtest. I have high hopes for Wintergrasp to come back; it's the only thing they've done right so far.
this didn't make me cry until I heard it live at a distant worlds concert
ANIKI WAKE UP
I’m not so quick to trust them, but I believe you because it’s a positive hidden in a spoiler
youtube.com
>Elh's smile after crying her heart out when he returned after by all means Red should've been fucking dead
God damn did this make me feel happy.
Like or hate XIV, the care put into story and character development is superb for an MMO
>on the menu customizing your girl
>contemplative flute music plays
>Can Still See The Light
>2:25 onward
God damn. That was good shit back then.
youtube.com
Just hearing the first five seconds and I already want to.
youtube.com
We knew how it would end but fuck I didn't expect it to hit that hard.
The saddest part of this thread is that I can't empathize with a single one of these songs. I've played so many games yet beaten so few that these songs contain no emotional charge for me. It makes me realize how I don't even care about the games themselves and use them for the sole purpose of making time go faster. The last game I beat was psychonauts and that was almost ten years ago. yet I've played hundreds of games since them. I think it is time to stop playing video games my friends.
fuck its been a year already
THIS
Damn. I thought I listened to all the music from this xpac that gave me chills. I completely forgot about Wintergrasp. I was hit with a wall of nostalgia as soon as I hit play and chills ran down my spine. Why can't I go back in time to enjoy this expansion for the first time again? Life was so much simpler and easy back then..
that game legit ruined clair de lune for me
also contributing with youtube.com
Thank you dude. I forgot. fuck
youtu.be
>it will never be 2004 again
>ragnarok will never get a proper sequel
You're so cool, user.
I think it's about time we finally drop gaming, Yea Forumsros...
>it's another episode of "my peepee won't get hard"
Lucas King is so fucking great
I don't know the reason why,
but every season I hear these
I do a little cry
youtu.be
youtu.be

Because it's damn good
>came back to ttyd a few years ago, was awash with the feelings, optimism, and memories of childhood
>credits roll, sat at the first dialog for what felt like hours
I've replayed it at least 10 times since, have yet to capture that feeling again. Nothing else has
>tfw you've worn your last feelings of joy and happiness down to nubs
youtube.com
i dont know if anyone posted yet but i think they actually did a great job with this
youtube.com
I can't fuckin' play it anymore I'm always at the brink of tears when I hear any of its songs.
This made my childhood and I fucking loved every hour of it. I didn't know it is supposedly a "failure" and at the time I thought it was the best game ever made and I'd get my memory wiped just to experience it again.
>THE ASSHOOOOLE
youtube.com
The first time I heard this, I lost it at 3:06
youtube.com
a lot of dark souls 3 gets me. including abyss watchers and slave knight gael
im glad someone posted gehrman's theme
mah nigga… All I have for this is just the most melancholic nostalgia…
youtube.com
Don't think this has been posted yet but it gives me chills EVERY SINGLE time
As cliche as it is, To Zanarkand had an impact on me. Especially at the end of what felt like a huge journey to get there. Also the way the Hymn of Fayth is reused throughout the game is also great.
youtube.com
Although not strictly vidya music. I still get goosebumps from youtube.com
Man hearing the Hymn at Distant Worlds was really something. It’s a beautiful piece.
bait
it´s too beautiful bros
youtube.com
>I deserved what happened
A man with taste
>Last game I played properly with my Sister
>I'll never go back to the days of being in 7th grade and playing this and MW2 after school and in the mornings at my bud's house we don't even talk anymore
>Those weekends at my Dad's flat and all the time I've wasted not seeing him since we fell out
Why did you have to post this it's such a specific nostalgia fuck you user ;-;
surprised nobody posted this
best kirby game
>Always optimistic MC finally breaks down and gives up all hope
>The whole squad insistantly cheering him on even when he's pushing them away
Well I guess we all waited for you.
that's Mark Wolff though, not Billy

I'm a pussy, I know
I don't have the heart to reset my progress, you are stronger than I.
It's time to go home
youtube.com
Almost tempted to throw that game in because one of the songs I thought of was this:
youtube.com
It is just so nostalgic for me.
youtube.com
I did my best to destroy the reapers, sorry that EA fuck us over.
>MGS4 - love theme
mfw
>First game i ever played
>Game i played through with my dad
Medal of Honour +Underground on PS1 were so fucking good, i still mumble it's soundrtack in my head sometimes.
youtube.com
Can believe vidya used to be made this much fucking good...
RSE's Hoenn region felt like home to me, so I spent a ridiculous amount of hours playing. So, naturally, I bought OR/AS day one and for some goddamn reason, this song made me cry like a little bitch.
youtube.com
I tear up at the start of this everytime. Not even a sad song, just a good one
youtube.com
The ending WoW deserves
>I see. Only darkness.... Before me
>almost 250 posts in
>still no mention of katawa shoujo
youtube.com
youtube.com
I regularly listen to this song but it makes me cry in that the game should have been way better than what it was. It also saddens me that the series went to shit starting with this one and on. The series could have been legendary. Instead it is mediocrity. At least its music is god fucking tier though.
