With all the feature creep I'd be surprised if he launched the game any earlier than mid 2020. Even if the game ends up in a playable state before then I don't think know how much time he's invested into writing the overall story outside the core concept.

I take it those elaborate video updates where he needs to do video editing, get people to draw his animu characters and voice act them must take some significant amount of time before the video is finished before being posted. it's important to point out that eva doesn't half-ass these videos either, by that i mean he doesn't just delegate most of it to someone else and spends 30 minutes talking and that's all the work he does on it. he has a vice-grip on the content, right down to the expressions of the characters, he manages it all. it has to take an enormous chunk of his time. i'm not even exaggerating when I say there were likely stretches of time when he probably spent at least half his work day on the videos.

of course, his autistic self would claim it's necessary to keep interest and patreon funding in the game, or that he couldn't work on the game due to "stress from being bullied" and so had to make a video about said bullying instead of just making his fucking game.

the saddest part of all of this is that I'm sure 80% of the money he gets are from teenagers who stole their parent's credit card (or who get an allowance and don't tell them what they spend it on). Those poor, poor parents, working 40+ hours a week to indirectly support some angry, autistic retard who thinks he's god's gift to programming.

There's no such thing as bad publicity and ironic shitposting is still shitposting.

As far I know, the game started as a "fan game" of Yansim, but eventually deviated on it's own thing because it has a more steady progress and few different additions, the dev is going make complete new models and engine in the future unlike Eva's who still has the same assets from the unity shop.

The only thing in this statement you can give the developer any credit for is tenacity. It is not a positive feature that his development is solo because he still codes incredibly poorly. The art and the art assets were not produced by him, they were purchased from an asset store, and he thus deserves no credit for the aesthetic. People consistently call him a fag because the improvements are minor, and his head's still up his own ass.
