The Last of Us had its moments

Yes, quite recently actually.

Attached: DzUGJx7WoAEVO6k.jpg (1920x1080, 237K)

too bad the acting was atrociously bad

Games where the protagonist hss a really convincing and genuine friend and they have tons of fun because it just reminds me that no matter what i do or who i am today, i can never go back to that blissful genuine friendship.

Tales of Xilia 2, true ending

Legend of Zelda when my bro secretly stole from the shopkeeper on my save. I was framed

The last campfire scene in FFXV.

Sure, the game was dogshit in nearly every way but the bromance was well done and I was sad that the boyband had to break up.

Plus the credits showing all the photos I saved just twisted the knife

Yes, the end of AC4 Black Flag

youtube.com/watch?v=DkWGQ3u1Lxs

MGS4
Games and movies never make me cry and 4 had some emotional moments, but it all came pouring out when Solid did his salute at the end.

I really didn't expect to get emotionally invested in Arthur for the first couple of chapters, but jesus, by the end.

Nothing gets me worse than regret and self-doubt, and just that presentation of those exact emotions during Chapter 6 are insane. The scene at the railway with the nun was fucking heartbreaking.

Nah. I ain't a woman.

Not cry but feel slightly sad. Conker's Bad Fur Day.

What game?

I've read hundreds of books and played hundreds of games and Muv-Luv is the only thing to ever make me cry.

Of course. The first game that ever made me cry was To the Moon. Remembering the ending and the credits song fills me with some kind of weird nostalgia, even if the game came out 'only' 8 years ago.
youtu.be/9QfPDmzpC2Q

Other games would be Black Flag, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Xillia 2, a little bit in Dishonored if really, really thinking about it, and Katawa Shoujo. Oh god, did I cry like a little bitch with Katawa Shoujo.

I remember FF7: Crisis Core did. I didn't even speak or understand English at this time so I barely understood the story.

I remember buying it on a trip with my family in the US and finishing it in a hotel's bathroom because I didn't want to wake up my family with the sounds. So there I was, crying alone because Zack's death was so emotional it crossed the language barrier.

no

>crying to vdoegames
What a colossal mchuge pathetic onions faggot you haveto be

thanks god your dad died before seeing this ameoba

yeah, final fantasy crisis core, they just crushed zack in the end but he still stood strong till the end.
also RDR 2, even though i barely payed attention to it while my bf played but the ending was great.

Dragon Quest XI
multiple moments

the older I get, the more I fall for sappy shit what the fuck is happening

That game was strange as fuck, but had a lot of heart. I was also close to tears by the end of it. "Weird nostalgia" is an apt description. I don't know how to describe it, maybe when we dwell on the intangibility of our memory it gives us a bittersweet feeling...that everything we remember might never be absolutely true.

You homo fag.
But my man for Crisis Core.

i hear that man, you just brought it all back to me

Decent manga spin-off so far.
To actually answer the question, i tear up at the most random shit so I don't have a definitive answer.

Attached: 30.jpg (1280x1819, 143K)

also teared up in Chrono trigger when you talk to robo after he tends the forest for like a thousand years, even though it's just a few seconds for you, and he takes a second to warm up since he's been turned off for so long

did he do the right thing

i forgot brothers, a tale of two sons. i'm just a sucker for melodramatic stuff, i can't help it.
not a homo

It's just that I had never played a game that made me feel such things. Getting to the end, realizing what the entire plot was about, why some characters did the things they did, and how it all culminates in that final scene of the rocket going to the moon... It was beautiful, and sad, all at the same time.
Which reminds me, Steins;Gate. That's another story that makes you go "oh fugg".

Ending D into E was an unprecedented emotional roller-coaster.
And getting this as a farewell gift for deleting your save was fantastic.

Issun not being able to join his friend after all that hardship
made me cry like a bitch

This.
You know how it's going to end but it ended fucking perfectly.

>that part with the mermaid

Issun's support in final battle has completely redeemed him as a character and Sun Rises is one of the best vidya moments.

I am a bitch ass nigger so I shed tears more often than I should.
I finished some shitty anime shovelware today and found myself upset that it was coming to an end. I got rather attached to my character and your little AI companion who is nothing but supportive of you. Got a little watery eyed staring at those two before I ended the game.
Suppose being able to immerse yourself like that isn't a bad quality, though.

fuck even all the little side stories, like the boy in Phon Nohm who ran away because his father gave his necklace to the monster because it was his
>most treasured item
just so he wouldn't have to give up his own son had me going. the little boy just thought his father didn't love him as much as an heirloom.

I gave you all I had

didnt make me cry but i got really upset when she started deleting the memories
I even got a friend who hates 2d rpgs to play it and he loved it

Finding Paradise was an amazing experience too, I can't wait for the next game. Those scientists are the best.

In a similar vein, hearing these ingame had me barely able to read the text. Having the mum explore both worlds with you, and all those little moments between the two really pulled it together.

I wonder why Yea Forums doesn't talk about it a lot

Dragon Quest 8
The mourning king of Ascantha seeing the memory of his dead wife really got to me. Especially because the moments shown weren't Shakespeare-style declarations of love, but instead little moments like naming a dog.
The music also helped
youtube.com/watch?v=wLQCrTgPBLk

>but i got really upset when she started deleting the memories
Played it back when it first came out, but didn't they complete their job? He went to the moon, and at the end he dies, that's all, isn't it?
I played A Bird Story, but not Finding Paradise. Does it continue the scientists stories? They had some good characterization in the original, like the guy with the painkillers and all that.

I've never cried playing a game but the closest I ever got was the scene from Yakuza 0 with Kiryu and Nishiki in the forest. God the acting in those games is just so far above literally everything else, its nuts.

didn't do anything for me for some reason. NieR's endings did make me cry however

yeah but she had to delete his entire lifes memories in order to build the fake ones because of the corruption
dont you remember chasing after her trying to stop her near the end?
i mean its still a somewhat happy ending because he ended up remembering her in some way and he remembered his brother but thats bullshit to me, i was still upset he lost the memories of their life together

Attached: Don't cry.jpg (1920x1080, 53K)

For some reason I'm very easy swayed by parent/child emotional moments. Key got me good with Clannad and Summer Pockets.

Attached: index.png (1280x720, 798K)

Does the brown girl from To The Moon warm up to MC somehow or she's still a bitch?

>I played A Bird Story, but not Finding Paradise. Does it continue the scientists stories? They had some good characterization in the original, like the guy with the painkillers and all that.
Yeah, they're the ones doing the job again. It gives you insight into their company aswell, and takes their shenanigans to another level along with their character growth/involvement.

I think that To The Moon had the better finish, but Finding Paradise is a lot more involved, at least in terms of what's outside of the simulation.

>Key got me good
I haven't played any of the VNs, but Little Busters' anime definitely got me a couple of times.

Tales of Symphonia Ending Lloyd and Kratos:

As most know you find out towards the end of the game that Kratos is Lloyd’s long last father. After the events of the game unfold, Kratos has to say goodbye to Lloyd at his mothers grave and take the elf planet away from Symphonia and as he leaves says with full pride goodbye to his son for the first and last time.

persona 4 and almost mgs3

Attached: index2.png (1280x720, 611K)

But they were just that: memories. Said events actually happened in real life, and in his mind, while deleted, were exchanged for others just as fullfilling. It's not like they erased River from his mind, they made both of them be astronauts and go to the moon together. If I remember correctly it's either implied or shown the memories he ended up having weren't only those final minutes, but actually an entire fabricated life. And that's why he called the Corporation in the first place.
Thanks user, guess I'll play it sooner or later. Gonna be weird, getting back into that universe after all these years.

Attached: index3.png (1280x720, 645K)

yes

I cried at the end of Ace Combat 5.

>crying
>over Ninja Theory's shit writing

lol

Attached: index4.png (1280x720, 910K)

FUCK YOU

They are both the main characters and it's just idiotic "flirting" and touching moments so far, but I would say that they are building up to that.
They could just be super best friends, but either way they are very close. Enough to fight about things a lot and still laugh with each other at the end of the day.

I really want to know what happens with them, especially with all the foreshadowing that was in Finding Paradise.

[Music stops]

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future got to me like no other game has. Valkyria Chronicles 4 had a few moments that made me tear up a bit, but nothing had me outright crying.

Attached: index6.png (1280x720, 675K)

Attached: index7.png (1280x720, 933K)

actually Galuf's scene made me cry when he fought against the tree alone only to die beyond repair.
the crew has even tried the revive spell and the phoenixdown on him but all in vain.
this whole scene and Krile becoming a parry memberwas fucking kino.
FF5 is way better than some other significant FFs.

I've cried at other forms of media, but never at video games. Dunno what that says about me.

to the moon the first i remember, but yes plenty

>reminder that To the Moon is getting a fucking animated movie
Holy shit, no way. Hell yes, first movie I'll buy in years.

Same. By now I think it's just impossible to have a genuine, deep friendship without struggle you have to go through together, and these struggles just barely exist nowadays. We just do our boring jobs and go home to cook and play or watch something. All you can do with a friend is talking about games or some shit whereas in the games themselves the protag fights together with his bro, they save each others lives multiple times, they suffer together and they explore the world together. Such binds can never be formed in our mundane real life.

No. Some make me feel like I might, but I never actually do.

I'd be wary of most movies based on vidya, animated or otherwise

unironically Undertale
i just wish i had friends and people were nice

>Paid by China
>Animated by Japan
>Original creator has a role in the script, editing and supervising
The video is the first time I've ever seen the dev and he already seems the most genuine guy I've ever seen, it shows To the Moon was his baby, I can't believe he'll let it be screwed up.
