The KH series is an oddity. I played this part of KH2 very recently, only catching up on the series now, and 9ut of context it seems like the dumbest shit. Namine is basically the most unholy and unnatural being in the KH Universe because a nobody of a princess of heart which means no darkness which begs the question why she even exists but the whole way Sora turned himself into a heartless in the first place with the Riku blade and while Kairi's heart somehow managed to leave her body and was resting inside is basically a chain of events that shouldn't have happened.
Because of all of these odd circumstances she was created out of Memories and connections I guess

The English translation removed most of the gay undertones you can find in the official Japanese translation.

In the English version of 3, Riku says he "found the strength to protect thethings that matter."
In the Japanese translation, Riku says he "found the strength to protect his most precious person." (taisetsu na hito)

Taisetsu nah hito is used in various KH & Disney relationships regarding themes of true love, be it with family members or lovers. But it usually has romantic associations, and is often used for Disney couples.
Sora also calls Kairi his "taisetsu na hito" in CoM.

To add to that, when he was a little kid in BBS, Riku starts off using the phrase "to protect things that matter" in the official Japanese translation. But this eventually transitions to "important people," and then " my precious person" as he ages over the course of the games.

While we don't get an official confirmation on who Riku's "most precious person" is (because if he says it's Sora then that would be a huge fuck-no from Disney,) we can basically deduce that's Sora due to the events in KH3 and 3D

So yeah they are a lot of nods and undertones that pretty much confirm that he's supposed to be gay and in love with Sora. That doesn't mean that Sora's gay though, because the game's dialogue and narrative context doesn't support it. He definitely has a thing for Kairi.

I’m not sure if Nomura is doing this on purpose and it’s sad to say but the fujos were kind of right about them in a way.

The only people that think there any gay implications between Sora and Riku are delusional fags or women who don't understand close male relationships and the concept of camaraderie. You have done nothing but reach, twist the meaning of certain translations, and twist context of cutscenes in the franchise to support your delusional gay fantasies. Sora and Riku have been, through implications or outright acts to be just best friends. The use of Taisetsu nah hito in regards to Riku and Sora isn't an implication of love but brothers, as that has been their relation throughout the entire series.

After all the shit they went through together no wonder they will care so much about each other. They spent more time together because Riku was competent enough as a fighter to keep up with Sora, which allowed them to help each other out in the battlefield, meanwhile Kairi just barely learned how to fight and tried to go against much more experienced keyblade wielders.
