What does Yea Forums think of this game? I just saw their 1 hour interview and felt like summarizing the more pertinent stuff.
-Maximum level is 30 -The Supernova difficulty has hunger, thirst and sleep mechanics -Limited level scaling -They didn't even consider how the game would play without quest markers, they say they'd like to give you the option to just take them out, but they need to test how playable the game is. Boyarsky actually struggled to comprehend why anyone would even want to play the game without a visible enemy health bar -You can't use unarmed combat, but the enemies can (and will have to if you disarm them) -There's a random change for gibbing on enemy kills
Also, plot-wise, the theory that the McKinley assassination not happening is what changes the history of the world is indeed true, however, it might not be the only factor
I watched it too. They sound like cool dudes, but I suspect this game is gonna disappoint a lot of people. I'm expecting around 33% of the quality of Fallout 1, which is already good enough for me. Never liked the later Fallout games that went the open world route.

Like 70% of the interview was them revealing cool shit they had to cut lmao Still pre-ordering it
I like Boyarsky's storytelling more but I like Sawyer's design principles better.
Leo Campbell
>gameplay will 100% gonna be bad like FO3 level bad
>story will be boring with cringey characters
it's a hard pass for me dawg

>Boyarsky actually struggled to comprehend why anyone would even want to play the game without a visible enemy health bar I'm starting to think that all those giants I used to respect are actually hacks that made one or two good games by accident.
I like how you made this image with the obvious intention of making whoever read it dislike the game and then put "NOT Open World" in there as a negative, completely undermining your own point and legitimacy

It’s more like they “grew up” and don’t have the passion for video games anymore, but it’s too late to have a change in careers. It’s similar how MMOs you could sink hundreds of hours into used to be all the rage, but now the industry is flooded with estrogen-chugging manchildren who hate the thought of not being able to buy your way through games faster, because their wife’s son needs changing and they can’t devote the time to a truly engrossing experience anymore like they used to. Casuals rule the market now, and nobody wants to cater to the niche market PERIOD.

>Tim Cain admits that he didn't want the Fallout 1 ending to be you being cast out of the vault, even though that was Leonard Boyarsky wanted >He wanted it to be an ending with a happy party full of balloons instead
Gameplay will be alright but will have problems Story will be disappointing and the ending will be especially bad. RPG elements like stats and skills will be surprisingly good Graphics will be better than expected but will have really poor performance. The game will have one or two really bad game breaking bugs that will lead to a big controversy until they are fixed which will be at least 2 months. This is my take on the game screenshot it and see when the game comes out.
No, it's only gonna get worse. Learn to ignore it imo

do you think any other game company has more capable or BETTER writers lol

No Mod support is not a positive by any stretch of the imagination. Anything else can be done badly enough to not be a pure negative for not having them.
