I love the remake2 but the cutscenes and the story felt so cheap, like they really were planning to have just two campaigns.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with how Irons was in the Remake. Yeah, I get it, he was a scumbag in the original, but he was more cunning and was able to keep a straight-face to present himself as a respectable officer but secretly a rapist (before noticing that there was something off with him right after). In this game, he's already lost his fucking mind and comes across mostly as a complete asshole than a rapey one (outside of seeing the mayor's daughter during the Sherry part)

My biggest annoyance with the RE3 sourcenext version is that it seems to use the software renderer from the original RE3. The models tend to have the same display issues as the PSX version with glitchy textures. The colors also seem off.

Only the mouthful "Director's Cut - Dual Shock Edition" has the notorious nu-OST.
The prior "Director's Cut" uses classic OST, and AFAIK, the latter PC port is based on that.

There is also un-cut FMV + classic OST mods for the PC.

So does using any healing items factor into your score in the end? I heard using first aid sprays and having more then 3 saves prevent you from reaching S but I had half as many saves in my Claire B run and was about 3 hours quicker and got a C, while in Leon A I got a B.

I expected a more spectacular death tbf (to be frank) and not Chris knifing him to death after running out of ammo in some cave.

It's all bullshit. Original games have more zombies, but they also give you plenty of ammo to kill them all three times over, and the die in a lot fewer bullets and fairly reliably. The only trade off is there's a metric fuck load of bullshit situations where you're guaranteed to get hit unless you abuse the ever loving shit out of auto-aim features or already memorized the layout and know to shoot off screen.

I can only really think of one zombie in reRE2 that might have been really bullshit. The fat one in the safety vest that's playing dead when in the sewers at the bottom of the stairs near the safe with the combination chalked on it. But even then, unless you're going out of your way to go the wrong way you're going to walk past him while he's playing dead and know he's there, or deal with him ahead of time, before he jumps you on the way back from the King/Queen/SparkThrower area.

Not from my experience or the rest of my friends. You sure you don't have it flipped around? OpenGL leads to stuttering in a lot of sections. DirectX resolved the issue entirely and performance is fantastic.

The only time ammo is scarce is when you dont know what the fuck youre doing your first playthrough or two and backtrack and have to kill every stupid fucking thing and miss and just suck at the game.
