Donkey Kong Country

Honestly couldn't have picked anything better desu

Either some edutainment game on pc or Sonic the Hedgehog on a second hand Genesis.

5 year old me was struggling at times and I can still remember it

Some NES thing when I was 3yo probably battle city. But the gaming didn't impress me back then much. A year later we got SNES with Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct. Now DKC carried me and my mom away. We played for hours daily despite being very bad and not progressing much.

That's a good fucking time
I got into snes games around 9 on the Wii VC and loved them

Fucking bless, I played the shit outta that with my friend at theirs

I didn't really count them since I didn't own them personally

Oh god, Star Wars Podracing was a pisstake, loved it though

some 100 in one bootleg gba chink cartridge, i was scrolling around in it and found this game where you had to climb an ice mountain. for a jumping game the jump physics were sure fucking awful

Yeah, it was technically on my dad's Genesis, he bought it from my uncle.
If it's the first one I actually owned, then it would be Sega Smash Pack 2 on Windows 98.

That's pretty great, mine was a hand me down from my uncle who moved out of my grandparent and gave it to me

>Pokemon Diamond and Pearl came out in 2007
>for OP to be 6 when those games came out, he would have been born in 2001
>that means he would be 18 now
>mfw kids born in 2001 can post here now without being underageb&

Huh, that's how I got a regular Xbox several years later. Although he charged $20.

What if it was Platinum

Definitely the first game I ever remember playing. Can even remember some of the audio files and voice lines to this day, what a classic.

probably duck hunt/super mario on my uncles NES, it's the earliest game I can remember playing.

Nah it was Diamond

Shitty Cars (the movie) game for the GBA

Based happy-childhood and personable poster

12 year old me loved this shit
I still have a soft spot for the multiplayer mode

>begging for a ds game for Christmas when you're six

I was 18 when diamond and pearl came out

Probably mario on the NES, or something on the SNES at my grandmother's. First game I ever actually got was Mario 64 for Christmas.

>There are people in this board right now whose first game was Diamon and Pearl
Fucking hell mate

Maybe not the very first but close to it.

Super Mario World.

That's one of my friends favorite games of all time

Bless, that's pretty sweet ngl

I must've been 4 years old, and was staying at my grandma's place for the summer. My cousins were there too, and they had gotten NES, one of the first in Finland.
They had three games with them, Super Mario Bros(the cart with Duckhunt included), Ice Climbers and Ikari Warriors.
I distinctly remember playing Ikari Warriors first. Feels like I was totally blown away by it.
