Both Ence and Renegades have been really amazing this tournament.
I have really liked their style that they've been playing which was pure fundamental CS which was refined down.
Unfortunately I don't think Ence will have much of a chance against Astralis but if they did win it would be the single best major run.

Yes, but I don't know how that mechanic works. For all I know, it could work the opposite way (money from winning rounds, encouraging snowballing play) or the budget could always be the same, simply allowing players to customize their equipment.

You use money to buy guns and armor and utility before the round starts
when the casters talk about an "eco round" or a half buy or force buy, look at the equipment, it means a team is playing the economy to either save up money so they can buy better guns and utility in the next rounds, or they are force-buying all they can to have a chance at breaking the economy of the opposing team (and force them to eco the next round which usually translates into an easy round for the team that has money for guns)

Liquid beat Astralis like 1 month ago, literally no one was expecting them to lose against a bunch of finns armed with the power of memes and depression.

You win a set amount of money for winning a round of $3250 which is increased by $300 if T plant the bomb and if CT defuse the bomb.
Loser gains less money but the amount earned increases with additional rounds.
You also obtain money from kills which varies depending on weapons from $100 to $900.
MIBR tried to buy him originally and were even weilling to pay the $500K I think it was until Na'Vi told them to fuck off at the point of signing the deal.

Beating someone once isn't something special. And like a lot of people tend to point out, simple is pretty much the team. One guy can only do so much when he has to constantly carry and fix others mistakes.

I'll also add since you seem very new that you get more money when you kill someone depending on the weapon you use (eg pistols and submachine gun kills grant you more money than kills with assault rifles), that you lose money when you team kill, and that terrorists all gain 800 bonus dollars when they plant the bomb, which is why when terrorists are on an eco round their objective will be to plant the bomb in priority over trying to straight up win the round, so they can afford the big guns afterwards
You also get bonus money at the end of the round when you're on a losing streak. This is important because this is how you break the economy of a team, when you "reset" that bonus by making them lose a round right after winning one, when they'll have most likely spent a lot of their money upgrading their gear

I think the worst part was there were so many 1vX situations where if it was anyone else I would think it was impossible but because it was S1mple I had faith he could somehow do it every time.

BR fan base is notorious in terms of being terrible people. Can't think of any other fans that spit on players at a tournament or a time when a specific player needed a security detail because of an incident which he didn't even cause or do anything wrong.
