Im pretty sure Ryu buttfucks Ken super hard in a fight. They were only ever shown to rival eachother in the alpha series when Ken was a full time student just like Ryu. Ken can keep up in a fight vs. Ryu, but Ryu is overall a much better fighter.
Ryu and Ken fought each other tons of times and share the same fighting style, so each knows the strengths and weaknesses of the other better than anyone.
What makes Ryu better is that he has a lot more experience against other fighters, so he will fare much better against Guy for example than Ken would.

Ken is a super genius prodigy when it comes to fighting whereas Ryu is all hard work and dedication. It's basically Sasuke vs Naruto except Street Fighter existed first.

It is broken and difficult because you literally split yourself in two when using kage bunshin no jutsu and since Naruto has so much to spare, he runs no risk when using it. So it makes sense that it was easier than everything else. In fact this becomes his tool to learn, because he multiplies himself to be able to learn faster and train X amounts of times more than the others but accomplish the same results than them in the same timeframe. He is demonstrably shit at training and goes by it through sheer dumb fucking luck and effort.

Because henshin no jutsu is using YOUR chakra to change your shape and you have to be detailed when using it as well as use it with precision to prevent it popping or being shit, like Naruto's were. Kage Bunshin its harder because it can kill you by dividing yourself. If you do it wrong, you may put more chakra in the clone and then since you have none, you die and since there is no original user providing the chakra, the clone dies. Naruto doesnt have this issue because of the Kyuubi.

Ryu's potential is much higher, Ken is just a stepping stone for him

It is an asspul, but its consistent. Having the Kyuubi is not talent, its a tool and Naruto learns to use this tool for the best.
