Game gets a sequel several years later

>game gets a sequel several years later
>the artstyle and original vision is completely ruined

What are some other good examples of this?

Demon gaze 2 had a drastic art style shift but I wouldn't say it ruined it.

Bottom looks better though.

Now i remembered that X-blades existed.
I won't say they ruined though.

What is wrong with you?

Trails in the Sky -> Cold Steel is this to a fault.

Did they change artist?
I miss oxijens quality art.

I couldn't tell you, maybe it was money issues.

new is better

>original vision
I beleive people have already explained to you that it is the same artist.

>old artstyle is completely indistinguishable from every fucking anime/VN released in that decade.
>gets updated later
>cue autistic screeching.

this is what you get for supporting moeshit.
cope faggots.

>modern artists can't replicate dithered 90's art
what a shock

Bottom is better in qlmost every technical way. Kill yourself.

>using words like technical when describing art

Not weebshit, but Mirrors edge.

That's the problem? Is it follow good perspective/figure drawing rules?

>animeshit animal ears

lmao it was ruined when ink met paper

>art has no technique

you're a fucking maroon

Shadows, hair gradients, highlights, hue shift, posing, cloth simulation, and even color palette are all things that I would say are technically better. These things are almost always a clear way to note good art from bad art. Look at the shadows on the red cloth on both images. The top image has a simple brightness change with some really sharp almost airbrush level shifts. This makes it look like plastic. The bottom image has actual hue shift, the shadows of the cloth are blue, not just dark red. This is almost always objectively good and a clear progression for an artist in terms of grasping what looks appealing. Art is incredibly technical you uninformed, uncultured monkey.
