It's impossible to actually like that game on Yea Forums because personal taste and priorities have been supplanted by buzzwords, since youtubers spend hours talking about level design now that's the only important metric in any game ever made
It can't possibly be that I enjoy DS2 regardless of the inferior level design simply because it has more rpg elements and as such it allows you to make more varied / complex builds and has enough content plus multiplayer to actually enjoy playing as that build after you spent half the game perfecting it because the LEVEL DESIGN is not INTERCONNECTED and MASTERFUL with the ARTISTIC TOUCH of based miyazaki

Nier. Somehow convoluted yet predictable, it's vidya equivalent of Elfin Lied, in the sense that it's a weeaboo emperor with no clothes, with writing as bland and awful as the gameplay. It's a wonder that pretty music managed to make brainlets think that a goofy marathon of generic sad things was some deep and well written experience. The wedding, and it's aftermath, was particularly atrocious.

Celeste. It's a pixelshit percision platformer about anxiety with tumblr-nosed characters who's dev team is a bunch of trannies and hipsters. Most who hate it haven't played it, and I don't blame them, because it looks like trash.
It managed to keep my attention through the c-sides and rekindled my interest in indie games because it showed me that a game being pixel shit or a percision platformer made by hipsters doesn't exclude it from having good gameplay and level design. After Celeste i tried out some other indies I'd written off because of appearences, like Hollow Knight and Rain World.
