I had an OG 3DS and I just got a N2DS XL. Battery life is better than original, reportadly less than N3DS XL. I like the form factor, that reminds me, I need to order a new stylus for it. Oh and 2DS family, New or OG 2DS, all have chargers. N3DS line no chargers, just a tip.

xl has shit battery life, which is only a problem if you play in public like an autist, and the 3D version is slightly superior because some games do actually rely on the 3D gimmick (like Mario 3D Land), but not many.

I bought a brand new Pokeball one 1.5 months ago, hacked it via Frogminer since it came with 11.5

I just bought my sister one since she didn't get one before and she loves Animal crossing.
I carefully opened the box and installed b9s+godmode9 andinstalled 60GB of 3DS games + DS games +GBA games.
Then I carefully put it back in the box so it looks like new.

I'm kind of afraid she'll ask me why I didn't get her a switch instead, if she does I'll just tell her I'll get her both.

My buddy gave me his original 3ds since he doesn't use it anymore and i wanted to play assault horizon legacy, naturally i hacked it but then found out that there's fuck all to play. The 3D effect is genuinely impressive despite being almost impossible to keep staring at for long without your eyes fucking up.
I mostly use it for DS games since my R4 stopped working, twilight menu loads pretty much everything I want to play except for nanashi no gemu, which is weird since its listed as compatible.

I can't compare it to anything else because it's the only DS console I ever owned. But it does feel cheap, I can't deny that. Especially the hinge for the top screen. Still, I don't see how you'd break it unless you're dumb. I think the buttons could be a lot better (they feel kinda lose) but maybe that's because it's used or it came that way, I won't make a fuss over it

I bought my New 2DS XL for $125-$130 last November or December off Ebay with a discount code. The New 3DS and New 2DS didn't have a single official sale anywhere, the best was the $99 New 3DS from 2017. Gay they never did it again.

dont buy that shit, the n2dsxl screen uses the 3d resolution but without the 3d, so every game looks blurry af, not to mention every screen is TN so the colors are horrible as well

you're better off buying a DS lite if you just want to play DS games, or a n3dsxl WITH DUAL IPS SCREENS, a regular 2ds would be good too, it has the best picture sharpness you can get without the 3d and the build quality is superb, its easy as fuck to repair it if anything breaks since it doenst use the clamshell design and all parts are incredibly cheap

3DS emulation was tied to 3DS homebrewing, Citra could not even play SM properly when it was released
yuzu can't play LGPE and it will take a while before it can do so properly and it won't be mature or stable enough to run Sword/Shield
