Better OSTs exist, but no better OST would fit Minecraft better than C418's. Every time a piece of music plays, that moment is special.

Hasn't it been removed? I remember the main 'Minecraft theme' being taken out after an update years ago. Fucking laughable really

Yes, the only other music I can associate with Minecraft's is Mozart's.

I know it sounds pretentious as fuck, but the fact both manage to plunge you in a state of bliss for a few minutes without being overly complex is such an incredible quality.

Sometimes when I play it's like time stops being a thing, and I only realize that I've been playing for hours when the music stops playing.

Had*

Can you redpill me on this? Is there a way for me to play it with the original music.

I don't even know if it has been, (I haven't noticed, or even played in like forever) BUT there's probably a mod for it. Go look up a forge installation tutorial on YT, then look up music mods. They probably exist. If not, try recourse packs, they might affect music too. They affect everything else, like looks and sound.

Probably ms not wanting to pay up. Bit like rockstar not wanting to pay for the music in gtas when they expire.

Consider the disgusting amount of money these companies have, really shows how little they care about the games. Bunch of penny pinching cunts.

What changed?

>you will never play Minecraft for the first time ever again
Why are we still here ?

I was sure Calm.ogg was still in the game.
But I always hear that shitty piano when I just want Calm3.ogg.

Nope, Gran Turismo will always have the best OSTs.

wtf I was going to make the exact same thread yesterday as I was listening to Minecraft's OST.

Yep, it's one of the best OST for sure. It's perfect for a game like Minecraft, too.

>tfw this thread comes up right as i was searching for the ost to listen to
fuckin scary shit right there

Minecraft was garbage back then, though.
Things only got interesting after they fixed multiplayer and added redstone.

I see the appeal but I knew I would never like it within the first ten minutes of playing it. I love the ost though

I love this, thanks user for posting

The ost is terrible and depressing. It's literally 'reminder, your parents will die one day : the soundtrack'. There, it's now ruined for you.

no its not

last time i played a few weeks ago the old school stuff was still there, but there are a few new additions like nether and end spesific tracks, though also some new overworld ones. i distinctly remember hearing "sweden" in game, so i doubt they would remove all their iconic music

If it makes you feel that strongly can you really call it terrible?

Attached: FLAOT1.png (985x911, 1.12M)

im really sad that i cant even enjoy this game anymore even with a shitton of mods.

Did anyone else mostly play singleplayer? I always hear everyone reminiscing about their multiplayer experiences with friends, but I never really had anything like that. I guess I was in some servers, but never had any particularly memorable experiences, and never could really consider anyone a friend.

damn this song feels sad.
sounds perfect for a calm, rainy day.

dunca dunca dunca dunca dunca

Remember the comiket albums that dropped back then?
People would share them around here all the time

you shitter, now i feel nostalgic

Not while Nier Automata exists

So wait, I still hear this music when I play, is something fucked up with my copy or what?

People talking about the music being removed, but all the music is still there whenever I've played it.

>if you eat something that is really bad tasting, can you really call it terrible?
Yes

The technical marvel that is the DKC series' soundtrack will never be topped, even if it is...if that makes sense.

Where the fuck is the 3rd album? Its apparently been "close to done" for a while now, and it's said to be longer than the Alpha and Beta albums combined. 1.13 got three new songs that are from the album but no word on the rest. What are they even waiting for? Don't tell me we're being forced to wait until 1.15, 1.16, or further for the game to slowly trickle in all the new music.

There's a fundamental difference between a song eliciting an emotional response and food tasting bad but aight

I recently started a new singleplayer run for something to do. Still as tedious as I remember, but with a little more to do.
Sailed 3 feet off the coast of my spawn point, saw a shipwreck, looted diamonds gold and iron out of it. Also found a treasure map.
Followed treasure map to buried chest; more armor, more iron, some coal, and food.
Sailed around the coast til I found some underwater ruins encroaching on the land.
Carved up one ruin, used its stone blocks to repair the one next to it, turned it into my home. Raided other buildings underwater for more riches. Looked west and saw I was within visual distance of a village. Built roads between it and my home. Turned the empty plain around me into farmland and forests.
Built a nether portal, found a nether fortress. Can't get inside because ghasts. GHASTS. WHY THE FUCK ARE GHASTS SO DANGEROUS.

I missed this.

Not really. If something isn't enjoyable, then it's terrible in my book. Keeping spinning it how you want though, my man.

I always mute that shit

Considering music is supposed to elicit a response, and it did so with you, says a lot but whatever senpai.

is starting a modded playthrough worth it?

i downloaded alot of mods and i havent played mc since 1.9

Metro Boomin sampled this for a Drake song.

I'm enjoying my current mod pack "playthrough" even though it's more like a "learn how these mods work and automate everything to ridiculous degrees"-thru.

I'm trying to keep everything rustic and fantasy-looking on the surface, so all the pipes, farms, and other stuff is hidden out of sight.

It's pretty great. Even Melon loves it.

what mods r u using

I want to go back.

Try making your own mod, user. It's what got me back into it. There's shit tons of tutorials for it now that go step-by-step. Mr.Crayfish and this are pretty good.

If you eat cow shit, you'd puke. Pretty elicit response. And terrible

The base is Roguelike Adventure & Dungeons modpack, which is like a more modern Hexxit, but I've added a few more automating things like Actually Aditions, Roost/Chickens, Botania, and a few other things.

There are other packs with more crazy high-tech machinery/automation mods if you want that stuff.

I really need to work on my landscaping & building, I've been doing too much Chicken breeding.

Attached: 2019-02-28_23.49.27.png (1920x1027, 2.62M)

you're such a simpleton, it's insane.

>modern hexxit

shit im downloading that right now

Is Steve the ultimate chad ?

Stop being such a mouthbreather.

Bear in mind, I don't actually know if this is the best version of that, there might be better out there. The Technic Launcher is pretty much dead, but you can actually get modpacks through the Twitch app, so you can see which one has the stuff you want.

My only wish for this pack is that if there were more actual types of dungeons, since there's really only two. Hexxit had some cool structures with mobs in them, but that didn't seem to make it to 1.12.

is there the battle towers mod in the modpack? those were fun as fuck in oringinal hexxit

>retaining walls
What the fuck why have I not thought of this in years of making homes? I swear I'm retarded.

Attached: minecraft classic.png (2560x764, 3.59M)

I'm unsure what you're implying, regular MC still has the fog.

Anyone know of any simple mods that mesh well with vanilla content? Right now I've got things like Quark and Biomes o' Plenty, but it's hard to find stuff that goes on top of vanilla well without adding anything too crazy or technical, plus I'm pretty nitpicky on shitty spritework.

No, and that's actually why I think it's better than Hexxit, because those things were shitty and ugly and ruined the landscape.

There's one type of tower that's sort of similar, but you manually activate the Guardian at the top, and it's shorter and a lot more rare, but mostly the structures you find have underground dungeons you either ladder or staircase down to.

My favorite part is the amount of blocks I can use to mix up color palettes and make buildings with, since obviously you can't use any resource packs with a mod pack.

What kind of stuff do you want to add? Like, storage, magic, loot, world structures? There's lots and lots of mods, you gotta be more specific.

I suppose loot and world structures sound neat, I'm pretty inept when it comes to MC mods. A lot of the more popular ones I see mostly turn me off from it; I don't want to make the game into some deep industrialization or magic experience, I just want my cozy nature exploration building game, so I'm looking for mods that improve that core experience.

I spend my free time playing on 2b2t trying to find abandoned bases. It's fascinating, but not worth the hours between finding things.

RTG and Geographicraft

Sounds like you may want to look at and try out something like FTB Vanilla+, which is a modpack. Modpacks are custom-made downloads that have multiple addons curated for the theme of the pack and compatibility/stability. There are a few popular Vanilla-style packs you can check out and see which has what you want. It's faster than searching up and installing every mod manually, and you can always delete mods you don't like.

I've had my time in Minecraft.
I've moved on now though.

>never ever start a base is slimechunk with your friend and expand it into cities
Try just playing new versions of vanila.
