Arma 3 is actually good, and also has a fuck ton of mods and different game modes, making it endless hours of entertainment while Squad is trash and from what I remember still in EA which is sad.

Depends on what you want. Arma 3 has more mod support and thus more gameplay options overall. Squad does one thing but does it pretty well (and it does that much better than Arma). If the thing that squad does is the thing you want, then get it. If you want to do different things, get Arma.

arma 3 infantry combat can feel extremely clunky but the stance system is really cool and fun to play with.
doorways are fucking weird. managing your stamina is one of the biggest things you need to deal with properly if you want to be decent, that or sit still and never move.

ArmA shines in the open areas, nature, forests and mountains. Towns are really not that cool except for tiny compounds.
The mapsize is just amazing and makes strategical movement important.

It's not being zeroed. If you mean zoom, human eye sight has a higher resolution and fov than monitors so practically all milsims allow you to zoom without scopes. With scopes you can zoom even further.

the update has goofed the sound engine but other than that I feel like it's made the game feel a lot more legit, they just really need to get on already existing bugs
other than that if you're already able to play Arma 3 or Squad then you'll be able to run Sandstorm, but yeah it does need optimization
they got rid of the frame drop and stuttering issues, now it just needs stuff shaved off so maps run smoother

Man it really fucking sucks I think the game itself is much better than the original but the performance is so shit, even on a 1080 Ti i'm barely pushing 100 FPS with massive stutters on Push, the only gamemode I get good frames in is the 5v5 competitive gamemode but even then it stutters sometimes

Squad is still a fun game though, just not as in depth or containing various modes like Arma.

Very slow development. It's like 3 guys making it part time or something. It's cool, and I like it, but it probably isn't worth the full price in its current state to most people who'd be interested. Definitely worth keeping an eye on though.

I got Arma 3 and never actually played it. Have like 600 hours in DayZ mod though. Squad is really dope too. You kind of have to get good at it to actually enjoy it though.

Arma 3 is better if you're looking for sheer variety of scenarios
Anything that Squad can do, Arma does worse, but Arma can do a whole lot more
