Enderal - Enchanting nerfs incoming edition
Enderal - Enchanting nerfs incoming edition
no VR no buy
Considering it's free, that would be impossible anyway.
fuck Agnod holy shit
Wait, why are they nerfing enchanting? I haven't bothered with it so far, but if it's ridiculously OP, I wanna get in on that shit bfeore the patch
You can get 100% resistance to magic, and 150% increased damage. So basically you can be immune to any magic in the game, and 1 shot anything but an uber boss. Have fun doing it while you can I guess, totally trivializes the game and makes it not fun though.
Hey did I hear you like fighting dwarven spiders, spheres and centurions in skyrim? Well GOOD NEWS!
retard alert
It's just the spheres really. The centurions are too slow to be a threat, but the spheres get right up on your face and if there are more than 1 or god forbid two in a room you're basically fucked.
I think I'm going to try a Sinistrope / Phasmalist build after the patch. With a summon from Entropy, having my Aparition summon as well, plus the Aparition itself along with cround control from Psionics, should be a really good build. Gonna try my hand at Iron Path
>play card minigame
>enemy team is 11 points weaker than mine
>he rolls 2x6 dices and wins
>try again
>enemy team is 8 points weaker than mine
>he rolls 2x6 dices and wins
>visibly upset but try one last time
>my team has a strength of 11
>lose the round on purpose
>next round, 21 x 13 in my favor
>he rolls 2x6 dices and wins
>quit card game
>realize I lost 1500 pennies
>uninstall the game in rage
Do not gamble, it's not random and it favors the NPC.
This game is all about CC. Get some CC and they aren't nearly as bad of a threat.
>finally got the perk that lets you upgrade enchanted weapons/armour
>tfw every piece of armour getting +10, +15, +20 damage/armour
how do you get this not to run like trash? I can run Skyrim SE with grass mods at a stable 60fps but this shit regularly drops to 20 in Riverville just from turning on mid-settings.
Wait, you need a perk?
Where is it?
Phasmalist tree
Its based on the old skyrim 32 bit engine. So its complete shit.
Tried turning OSAllocators on
l've played for 3 hours and the game hasnt crashed ONCE
In the phasmalist tree
It's a perk now, but in pre-steam Enderal there was no way whatsoever to upgrade any enchanted weapons or armour (unless you crafted it, upgraded it and then put the enchantment on, in that order)
Isn't Skyrim already VR compatible?
VR version is SSE
Patch when?
Also, can I get some tips for Entropy? I have 55 Entropy right now, and my damage is total fucking trash. All my spells are Rank 1/2, and I can't find any higher ranked spells. I've been to the hooded mages, and even at level 21 with 50 in Entropy they don't sell any good spells.
nigga just fucking roll the dice or savescum
I asked in the last thread, but it died so I guess I'll ask again here
Does anyone know how to make this myrad aggro on you? I'm trying to shoot at him with arrows/spells, but he doesn't care
Has anyone managed to figure out of weapon skills effect the damage of summoned weapons? I got a tier 3 bow summon skill, but my archery is base.
I hit him with a lightning bolt and he came down to me.
reeee, i have everything i need, what is wrong with this damn quest
Reminder to bulli menlet
You level of a weapon from books does not affect summoned weapons, only your entropy level. You can test this by having another weapon in your inventory and when you highlight it, it will tell you the difference of damage. Memories associated with the type of bound weapon you are using will work.
Oh hey new thread.
Draggo-user here with an Enderal thing.
Those weapons I made are all done and just need to be finished on the CK side of things.
I've actually made two tiers of each weapon, one which is slightly better than the steel tier weapons and an endgame-tier version created by crafting the standard weapon with one of these.
Then I randomly placed 55 of them throughout the various places in the game. Some are in dungeons, some are lying around in the overworld, whatever. I don't even remember where I hid most of them.
Treasure hunts are fun.
Did you actually invite them tho? Both of them
didn't you use your 100000 endralean pennie(s) to buy 26 ondusi's key (master) scrolls? what a dumbass
I had to go around and get to the top of the cliff he flies by in order to hit him.
Thalgard is overrated
WHERE THE FUCK DO I FIND HIGHER TIERED ENTROPY SPELLS? REEEEEEE
Yeah, that was the first thing I did
>invite them both
>get the ingredients
>go to the beach
>realise that even though it says "poultry meat", it means "roasted poultry meat"
>go back and return
>nothing happens
>go back and reinvite Aurora for the second time, even though that's already marked off
>she's sitting on top of the trapdoor in a weird glitchy place
>Maxus has no new dialogue
>still nothing happens
Well fuck it, maybe I'll come back to it in 30 hours time and it'll magically have unfucked itself
I want to play more, but I am waiting for the patch.
Shrouded mages. But they are bugged right now. So the only way, and fastest way I've found is to go to Frostcliffe Tavern and stand outside the door where the mage is. Quicksave your game and then talk to the mage, if he doesn't have what you want, hit f9 to reload, re enter the tavern and talk to him again, he'll have new spells. The bug should be adressed in the patch this weekend.
Thank you user.
Me too user, me too.
>tfw still modding so haven't actually played at all except to test
>tfw realize that you'll probably finish enderal before seeing Tharael's unbugged post-temple lines in game
Fuck Dijaam
Why even mod it? It's already bundled with over 100 mods. ??? Play it like it's meant to play at least for your first run.
Is this game multiplayer?
I'm trying, even if she is very unlikable
are there any mods for this game that make it stable and not crash at almost every loading screen
It'll probably get fixed in the patch, just avoid the Rhalata questline for like 1 more day
>she is very unlikable
You don't fuck her soul, you fuck her body.
Get the fuck out.
>just avoid the Rhalata questline for like 1 more day
Joke's on you, I finished it 60+ hours ago. I just need for him to talk.
I just finished exploring Goldenforst completely. If you're an elementalist this is the place you want to loot since it has IV-V elem. spell tomes in there.
But I think I fuck up my build. I invested in trickster/elem/thaum/sinistrope. I was aiming for the arcane archer synergy but I'm level 27 and still nothing.
what kind of materials do you need to upgrade enchanted items?
What's the bounty chest in the Arena for?
can you bed her if you're playing as a female ?
when you complete the fights the enemies' loot ends up in it
Yes
Seems like you are spreading yourself too thin with all those memories
you need 10 points in each tree for the synergy to appear I think
Did anyone play nehrim
I'm a huge huge huge fan of nehrim but people only play enderal because it's newer
I've been trying to play Nehrim while I wait for the patch but man....there is a big struggle going back to those oblivion mechanics.
That's the thing. I have more than 10 points in elem and trickster.
to be fair I have 2 or 3 points invested in thaumaturge and sinistrope. I want some early phasmalist memories too. Unless the game stops giving memory points before level 50 I should be good. I wonder how many crafts I can upgrade though. I have rhetoric and elementalism at 50 rn and I'm not sure if I should keep on upgrading them or switch to handicraft.
I tried but it's even more junky with worse optimization.
Can you remember the plot of nehrim and how it connects to enderal?
Played it back when it first got translated.
Overall I think it has a better setting and main plot than Enderal does. I think I heard that they're going to put Nehrim on steam as well, so it should get some more discussion then.
Thats because its attached to Oblivion, which is liable to explode at any given moment with how much shit they shoved into it. I had an HD6870 and decent CPU a little after it released and the game still dragged itself into the 20s.
Oh right, I always just quickly looted everything before the fight ended
Is it possible to use daggers and stealth around without a bow in this mod?
I've experimented slightly with the stealth mechanics and they seem almost identical to vanilla skyrim so my guess is no.
Krauts are spamming these threads when they belong on /vg/ but they would get banned on /vg/ so they spam here. They want your donations, they stopped posting direct links to donate because people freaked out. Check post and IP counts.
69 posts, 28 IPs. Seems pretty normal to me, faggot.
Sup, I've made these threads the last 4 days. I'm just some faggot in Seattle who is bored waiting on the patch. Go have conspiracies somewhere else. And post and IP count, probably because I'm trying to answer every question I can in the thread since I have nothing better to do.
>totally not a German u guiz
>totally have a Seattle IP address
>but those Germans made such a great mod!
>you should donate if you want to see more mods like this!
>here's the exchange rate to Euro!
Go post your schizophrenia somewhere else or better yet - don't forget to take your meds.
I did, but it's so fucking oblivion it hurts. Enjoyed Enderal much more.
I really wonder what they were thinking releasing the Phasmalist in it's current state. Did they not have testers?
Are there any special rules for getting the sex mods working in the Steam install version of this? I've been kicking around the idea of installing it but being able to go a-rapin' would be nice. Especially if there are body mods for all the mod unique armor, which I assume the mod has but I don't even know.
>three krauts talking to themselves and responding to posts they made pretending to be someone else
I think you should learn what schizophrenia means.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, m8. I'd suggest a camomile tea.
You should have seen the original release.
so I should stop the rhalata questline until the patch
>what kind of materials do you need to upgrade enchanted items?
Whatever the normal ingot is for the non-enchanted version, but you also need the phasmalist perk to do it too
What do you mean? They weren't in the original, they were added in FS. Was there a beta or something?
No I mean the original release had similar issues with other things.
Ah. Yeah I remember Entropy being completely trash. Oh wait...it still is outside summons. But at its current state Phasmalist is basically unplayable and a tree just to get enchanting bonuses.
Savescum is cheating and I rarely get good dice rolls.
someone please tell me where the soul is inside the ark crypt, this raspy breathing is driving me insane and i feel like i've looked everywhere
If it's a higher tier than what you've leveled up your net of souls you won't be able to see it.
There's a room almost as the beginning of the crypt with two tomb rooms, lots of candles and all. Right wing iirc.
I suggest you stop making mods and go join the militia and go stomp some muzzies or just get bred out of existence since all the krauts with an ounce of testicles were killed in the war.
FUCKING FINALLY
>this cheevoname
Nice. Now you can play a shit class in style~
Yeah but did you get Loram
He's 21st soul, and I have no idea where he is.
Anything for the manlet ghost.
Having to go through the godawful prologue and riverville a second time is suicide inducing. Thank god its almost over and I can get to enjoying the rest of the game.
It's not that bad, you can rush through almost all of it.
ded
Where the fuck do I buy entropy spells? The guy in the undercity only has fucking Psionics.
Gonna be going Phasmalist as soon as the patch hits, whether they let them self heal or not. That's really my biggest gripe. I know you can heal them with a healing staff but A.) Fuck that. B.) I don't even know where to begin doing that.
Scroll up in the thread.
This fucking banker that scoffs when you pull too much money out. Fuck you faggot
>That will be 100 pennies goy
>Ok cool but I want to withdraw 99 pennies right away
>SHIT
>be playing enderal
>tfw want to talk about it but also want to avoid spoilers in this thread
Enderal hasn't ever been that bad, even original release
Isn't the games fault senpai
I feel bad for betraying Mael in the Golden Sickle questline, but I really wanted to fuck Dijaam, except she went really weird after we got the Scarabeus back and attacked me when I wanted to sell it
You're gonna get 'em.
Does magic damage not scale with your skill? Doesn't that make then way worse than any sort of weapon build?
Started stealthy archer but stealth sucks and bows hit for shit also no fasttravel lol
/dropped
Magic levels with levels of skills, so you get jumps in damage. There are a few spells that level with skill lvl in psionics and mentalism. But no it doesn't make it worse that weapon builds until very very late game and only because of the broken enchant system atm.
Daym
Boohoo I can't cheese the game buy being invisible and then 1 hitting everything wahhhhh
I actually have to have some form of strategy and tactic wahhhhhh
Oh no I can't teleport everywhere (protip: there are tele scrolls, a system like morrowind, and the return and mark spell) and am "forced" to explore and amazing lush world with secrets hidden everywhere wahhhh
Good gtfo and go play dragon age inquisition or something faggot
>he didn't get fuck Dijaam ending
Are you lvl 30 archmage or something?
wait is this how it's going to be? I'll have to betray Mael if I want to fuck that emissary?
sweet, 3 gold ingots
Not really, he doesn't even know about it.
mystic bow + 25% dmg bonus + eye of the storm will melt through any boss.
Actually 8
Good idea thanks!
I wanted the Scarabeus and the Dijaam, I got greedy (I think there's some sort of moral here)
Unfortunately, yes
okay cool then
You should've tell her to go 50/50
this is what 7 gold ingots looks like
>tfw won't be able to enjoy the patch cause pirate
I'm sure I can enjoy the game on its previous version.
Life is simply unfair
So is this just a Skyrim mod or did they manage to make something cool with the combat system?
Any general tips? I didn't play Skyrim at all, just bought it for this game.
Not Enderal related, but any of you that have played Nehrim, I'm playing for my first time and the wiki says that your true class is determined by your weapon? What does this mean exactly?
A bit. You actually have builds here, and there's even an actual multiclassing.
Is it better to dual-cast spells or to just use them in each hand and channel them individually?
Dual casting increasing magnitude and duration
Stealth archer is OP as fuck
Stealth enchantment is the most expensive one, try not to sell unenchanted jewelry
Craft jewelry with jems and gold-silver ingots
Enchantment is powerful as fuck
Unlike skyrim, you don't really need crafting here
There's no respec, so think about your build carefully
No auto level so take care of your ass as well
For the love of god don't go to the ark's crypt without preparations
Get all 3 levels of net of souls to collect souls
Approval is important
Don't kill Qalian
Food is important, especially not the raw one. Because healing
You can learn ingredient's properties by eating them (only 1 if you don't have enough points in eating skill) and by crafting random potions without a recipe
And so on. You'll get used to it fast
Also don't collect junk.
I am talking about with the spell Death Breath
>Don't kill Qalian
oof, did I fuck up?
Are there any caster heavy armor sets? I am a Dark keeper, and I honestly sort of wish I could use some of this caster gear I found.
>Don't kill Qalian
wut, isn't this unavoidable?
Well, you can't save him, but you shouldn't approve what Tharael did. It locks you out from the third ending of the questline. If you don't give a fuck about Tharael, it's not that important.
But yes, you fucked up.
make your own
>Don't kill Qalian
Don't tell me you chose that sad bald cunt over a sweet wolf mount.
...
oh ok, I tried to stop him so I think I'm good
>not using Enderal Tracking Tool to have both
Git gud
If you've got He Already Paid the Price cheevo for it, it's good.
>using cheats
There's literally nothing wrong with it. It's not like Rhalata paid you enough for this shit anyway.
I want to kiss Calia on the mouth and feet.
Absolutely disgusting.
I started the game, looked at all those videos, and now I am on some island with nobody inside, and just one cave that leads nowhere.
How do I leave this place? I can't swin away, there's some invisible wall in the water.
Go in the cave and get the key faggot
The cave has a key that you stick in the Shrine.
You can see the fucking stones in the water.
You can see the ledge up above.
I got in, and I searched and picked anything. Where is that key even supposed to go? There's only three branches on the cave, one to a place full of poison crystals, one with a chair, and one with a broken metal globe. Where do I go?
The shrine is the broken metal globe? Do I need to get in the water to stick it?
thats being fixed in this next patch. I'm anticipating the patch too, for that very reason
No. There's a fucking Shrine of Mara on the back wall in front of the upper landing pillar. It's insanely obvious.
The key is on the ground by a skeleton -_-
I’m making a mod that takes away enemy scaling and introduces leveled enemies and possibly leveled loot.
Any tips?
There is no enemy scaling in Enderal.
all this is in enderal
I mean real enemy levels though. The further out in the world and further in the story you go the more dangerous the world is. As in, level 1-5 enemies may be found before you reach riverville and by the end of the game the enemies will be in the higher levels.
Also there is minor scaling as you can adjust the difficulty.
make a mod that turns my character into naruto
exactly like in Enderal... You can open the console to see the level of the enemies. And some spells' descriptions literally tell you "enemy under x level do this"
Can we ninja run too?
>can't stop placing various shit I've collected all around the house
Is this 'tism?
Just make some lewd stuff, user. Stop wasting time on bullshit.
Make a mod where I can rape characters, but unlike the Loverslab one, have some actual violent animations, instead of unrealistic shit like "blowjob in a rape".
Well fuck. I’ve been wasting my time on this? God damn it. I thought it was scaled since its rather easy.
well if it is I certainly have it
if we dream it, we can mod it
if you're ambitious and want to create something that people desire then you should create a MugenMonkey-like character creator for Enderal (mugenmonkey.com
Wait what
When
How
Is this a prize for catching 'em all
Im so confused about this site called 4hcan, cant understand my shit
Wanting to display your achievements is nothing tistic. Now if you're just stealing pots and pans and stacking them in corners, then that's some sort of the 'tism.
Just make a cute female companion mod, those always go down well
I agree let's ban these threads because they're killing my epic twitter and e-celeb threads
I want to chain up and fuck Calia until she loses control of her Black Stone so I can fuck her when she's in murder mode.
Cute Phasmalist ghost mod
It's called 4hcannlel faggot
That'd be nice.
make a mod where instead of phantoms you have pokemon and instead of giving them gear and shit you give them new pokemon moves and held items. the pokemon models already exist. you'll get trillions of dollars in donations if you do this
In Fallout 3 I would collect all possible pre-war money and purified water and drop them in stacks of 1 in piles all around my Tenpenny suite.
>Scrooge McDuck after the apocalypse
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh patch whennnnnnn
I'm physically in pain due to the wait
I'm physically in pain from an ulcer and potential gallbladder infection.
Get rid of both of them unless there's something interesting going on like DSP jerkin' it on stream again. That was amusing.
lmaoing my ass off at your life tbqh
Why does Sha'Rim always sound like he's dead inside
I'm glad I can bring you joy through my suffering.
Keep playing the game.
Aren't we all
any essential mods for this? Havent touched skyrim in years.
Tracking Tool.
Fuck, he IS dead inside. And don't worry, I played Enderal before already.
>"everything goes according to your keikaku after you drink the potion because you're in a dream"
>"I've studied it, two other sources suck, believe me, everything is theoretical tho"
>nothing really changes, and the cleansing still happens
Does he think I'm that retarded to believe that? After The Dream of the Dead?
>still no patch
I'm going to sleep for as long as I can. Please release the patch before I wake up, Germans
KEK
Fuck you Yuslan.
>can't tell him to eath shit and die
>can't tell him to stop being a fucking pussy and demand he do what you say
>can't tell him to do whatever he wants and leave him there
I wish this game had more dialogue options. Games with forced dialogue like this never had the options I would click, just gay shit.
Also magical box trick has worked - Sha'Rim went to make me a pure dreamflower potion, and I have two more dreamflowers (three in total) in the box. Time to brew some good shit.
Is it on rails, like Nehrim? Or is there side content this time?
Tons of side content.
>yuslan_btfo.jpg
I won't risk many hours of gameplay because of broken scripts drinking it now, so I'll drink the purified one before the beacon and then the normal one.
How the fuck do you cheat on that card game without getting caught? Put points in Sleight of Hand?
You don't. Just savescum.
Fuck off.
If anyone knows if high sleight of hand improves chances let me know.
I played this when it first come out but quit after noticing the brown characters in character select are scientists and shit.
>search breads
Cute
they're supposed to be arabs during the medieval times and we all know how much damage those cunts did to Europe back then
Can you do sneak attacks with spells?
You should have read the description better. They're literally jews.
>playing a phasmalist with a great success
>having a lot of fun
>some faggot keep saying it is unplayable
Fucking casuals, I swear. The very same people were crying that Kingmaker is too hard.
Phasmalist requires more thought than:
>Push power button
>Power strike
>Power strike
>Power strike
>Chug stamina pot
>Repeat until ded
>Maybe cast a spell for a tough encounter
Also, I've never bothered asking this anywhere, but am I the only person who swapped left and right hand actions? When I left click, I expect my left-hand weapon/spell to be used and vice-versa, but it's naturally inverted in Skyrim.
Holy shit, how?
No idea man. It just appeared in my inventory at some point. My only guess for why it happened is that either I have ench 100 and/or I've collected all 20 souls.
Also BALANCED
who is he?
It makes sense with spells, but anything other that left click for weapon/right click for block is a blasphemy. Though in Dark Souls I used E for light attack, Q for heavy and left click for block, before getting a controller.
The Old Man
>only 50 in weapon skills
I expected something better from him. Also, any cute ghost waifus?
And this
He's the Enderal version of badass old man from name any anime in existence
Magic stats make sense at least
The lore behind this guy is killing bandits and being a pedo?
Starling Navigator is the cutest
Zar'Ah is a qt too
Considering his stats, making mediocre isometric rpgs
Starling Navigator is an old man with a beard.
Well, nobody's perfect.
Reminder that Zar'Ah = Lysia
I'm new to this, trying to figure out a way to heal my Apparitions. I've been told heal staves work well since they don't give you arcane fever, but I have no idea where to find one? Also, is soul trap the only way to get soul gems filled? Seems like I'm going to need a lot of them for Phasmalist.
I'm pretty sure the house next to Yero's letters had a healing staff. Summoned weapons will capture souls as well.
One is definitely sold by the crazy old alchemist woman in Riverville, the other one is found somewhere before Riverville - most likely somewhere in Yero's house, but to be honest I don't remember the exact location. You only need one staff, so I don't remember the other places.
Transmutation talent allows you to turn bodies into soul gems or ectoplasm, it's absolutely essential for phasmalist.
Doesn't that staff only heal other people?
It heals *others*.
Ah, gotcha. Does it give you arcane fever? I'm playing with the overhaul. It's shit. I don't know why i do this to myself
No, it doesn't at all. Though I don't know if that overhauls changes something, you have to try it yourself.
Oh, does it turn them into filled soul gems or just soul gems? And someone said that summoned weapons capture souls? Don't you need the top of the sinistrope talent to do this? And one more question - How exactly do you go about recharging the staff? I know it has something to do with enchanting but I've never done it. Does higher enchanting give you more charges? Shit one more question, do apparitions level up with you, or do you need to keep getting higher level ones?
It's borked right now, I had a save but it broke so I'm waiting for the 2020 steam version
>bluff: skill level Grandmaster
patch when?
How many of those colossus things are there?
>Oh, does it turn them into filled soul gems or just soul gems?
Just soul gems.
>And someone said that summoned weapons capture souls? Don't you need the top of the sinistrope talent to do this?
I'm not using summoned weapons, but I summose you do need it. Spell is fine though.
>And one more question - How exactly do you go about recharging the staff?
Select the staff in your inventory, and you will see the recharge button. It will show you all your gems, filled and empty.
Also, the game basically showers you with filled soul gems in the early game, so recharging was never a problem.
>Does higher enchanting give you more charges?
No idea, really. Seems like it, but I might be mistaken - never tried to compare it and didn't get too far yet.
Anyway, I've got about 40% of charge from the weakest gem I had with ~45 enchanting. And your staff of healing has enough charges to not worry about it for hours of gameplay.
>do apparitions level up with you, or do you need to keep getting higher level ones?
They get more hp/stamina/mana from your stats, but their skills stay the same.
Anyone playing on Iron Path? Is it pretty ridiculous, or doable?
That's literally how enderal handles enemy levels
Adjusting the difficulty up does not adjust monster levels, it is a flat damage nerf to the player and buff for enemies
Maybe read the enderal website and play the game before embarking on a mod?
Ridiculous on vanilla, but i'm using the gameplay overhaul and the combat is surprisingly not shit
Anyone else noticing that they can't cook stolen foodstuffs?
Now
We wish.
I've actually never tried to cook in this game lol. Seemed too tedious to figure out what ingredients you need for stuff
Something's downloading, either it's a patch or
a map mod from the workshop
How do steam workshop items work? I can't tell if it's downloaded or not.
This is why fun isn't allowed
I played Nehrim before Enderal, replayed it not long ago, and I definitely think Enderal is better, though Nehrim is still good.
It downloads the data when you subscribe, then you have to activate the mod in the launcher with the steam workshop button and then check in game data for its position and making sure it's ticked on. Not straightforward.
Where's the patch reeeeeee
It's just salt plus meat mostly. The more complicated stuff isn't worth the effort
Oh yes, being completely immune to all magic and 1 shotting anything but the tankiest of bosses is quite fun. All for the investment of 7 memories and leveling enchanting. Fun = trivializing all aspects of the game. You're right. Carry on.
Some dipwits always call op ship "fun" and the whine about "no fun allowed" when it gets nerfed like they have an argument. It's a meme at this point, if it ever was anything else.
Is critical dmg bad here? since it only adds base weapon dmg doesn't account the tempered bonus dmg?
Oh cool, I saw his data on the wiki and assumed he was a reward for collecting every other soul but this is the first time I've seen someone get him
So is stealth any good in this? I went for the typical light armor dual wield faggot build in this but so far I felt kinda useless. Stealth seems to be worse than vanilla Skyrim.
I guess I'm going to try a heavy sword and board/entropy build next, maybe that one's more fun.
Stealth is good but I'm not sure it ever gets to the level where you can sneak past an enemy looking straight at you. So you really need to pick up one or more of the invisibility talents to deal with that situation. With both ghostwalk & psionic veil I usually have enough invis to deal with any badly placed enemies and shank the rest of them from behind. The flash powder talent also resets aggro and lets you get an extra sneak attack if you time it right.
Does anyone play enderal gameplay overhaul? If so what are your thoughts on the mod?
Does damaging magic get outclassed late in the game? I'm enjoying using it, and each level seems pretty competitive so far.
I play it, it's pretty good once you get over the weight limit reduction meme (which actually becomes fairly trivial once you've collected enough ice claws). It basically just fixes a bunch of combat bugs/balance issues and ups the damage across the board, for both you and enemies. The one thing I don't like about it is it makes mana costs really high, so much so that I can only cast 5 or 6 offensive spells before running out, but on the other hand my character isn't a pure mage. In general it makes the combat feel more strategic and less like a slugfest with damage sponge enemies
Is this multiplayer or single player?
So I tried this out yesterday and it's insane how good this game is, it feels like Skyrim - Gothic Edition, I just started out and it really felt to me like when I played Gothic 1 for the first time as a teenager, there is so much love in this, how can some random German autists make a better Gothic-like game than fucking Piranha Bytes, it also confirmed to me that I am not burned out by video games, new games are just bad and shit, just as I suspected
How tedious is phasmalist?
hello bird brain
Is Seraph the only affinity that doesn't give a unique bonus or is the wiki mistaken?
Most souls are in obvious places as long as you go exploring
Yes it's the only one unless they changed it in Forgotten Stories. It has a strong passive though.
I think so, it kind of sucks.
My character has 80 sleight of hand and almost always gets caught
Elementalism?
>80 sleight of hand
Holy shit nigger what are you doing?
I'm half-Qyranian
Lame, might go Dark Keeper then.
That's.. retarded from the modders part. At least the hidden cache can be useful and pickpocketing the rich faggots at the noble district pays off.
you can open the console and cheat too so why bother nerf
>why balance a game when there's cheats
hurrr durrrrrr
Worst girl.
You probably get annoyed by this question but whatever.
When I played Skyrim, I was using mod to give back attributes and have skills and levels progress normally except at level up I would increase 3 attributes based on skills I trained, like in previous games.
Can I somehow set this system back in Endreal? I would like to play new world and quest line but the way I like. I recall that authors love Gothic series which I hate so I guess I won't like their leveling system at all.
>tfw trying to resist the urge to add in sex mods and play as a qt
having a dick is suffering. i know if i do this i'll spend more time modding and getting my character raped rather than playing the game.
>Enter combat with a female bandit
>Seductive "Well, would you look at that? A lonesome traveler, some folks just never learn"
Fucking DIAMONDS
Why did they think anyone would give a shit about her dumb waifu?
yeah this its not online and its a mod not a game
The skill system is entirely different. You dont level by doing the skills like in skyrim and you get skills by levelling up from exp from enemies like a normal rpg.
duurrrrr
I don't think so, the level up system is way too different from base Skyrim.
It's basically - you level up, you choose health/magicka/stamina, and you get a set amount of memory points/skill points/crafting points. Memory points are spent to progress a skill tree and set up your class, whereas you use skill/crafting points to level up your combat/noncombat skills through usage of books. Each book adds a point in a skill, kinda similar to trainers in the base game, up until a certain treshold.
The whole thing does not work on leveling through usage like it usually does in TES, you just gain EXP like you would in any other RPG.
What did she do?
Is that your pic? Explains alot sorry you look that way
is it fun tho?
Literally nothing and that's the problem. Not to mention hair style is trash.
You should quit before you embarrass yourself further.
90% of the quests are pure suffering story wise
I don't understand it either. They didn't get the memo that nobody gives a shit about your good boy points when you're a niche total conversion for a decade old game lmao. W/e, still doing it since I have completionist autism.
Is the Rhalata quest line geared towards stealth/assassin characters? Also you want to do them and the Golden Sickle right
;_;
be honest, would you?
What's wrong with Phasmalist anyway? I was hoping playing a necromancer would be fun.
Euthanize? I wouldn't even hesitate.
Casuals don't know you can avoid most of the downsides with a healing staff
>What's wrong with Phasmalist anyway?
Perfectly fine
>Entropy
Kinda meh though
Does the sun temple sell good spells?
I have 8 memory points un spent and am about to get access to their facilities, I've heard that Psionics is really good. I have rank 1 Dream Eater and Rank 1 bound sword, is going all in on Sinistrope worth?
Until this point I've kited enemies with basic spells or sniped them with a bow but it's apparent to me that I'm going to need to get some actual damage pretty soon.
Given how I really, really disliked Skyrim system based only on hp/magica/stamina and skills and loved previous ones with attributes, I won't like that new one either since apparently only thing it change is setting exp system which in my opinion is step back instead of forward.
That's why I ask if I can mod it to resemble what I like.
>you level up, you choose health/magicka/stamina
Dropped right here. This is exactly what I disliked in Skyrim and what made me drop it until I modded back attributes.
Shame, work and quests looks interesting but looks like I won't be playing it then.
That's not the only thing it changes. Skills are totally overhauled and miles ahead of the awful system in skyrim.
is this game really that good?
I kinda want to test it but I'm not sure if it's worth reinstalling skyrim for this
hot
You don't need to reinstall skyrim, just own it on steam
It's much much better than vanilla Skyrim. The emphasis is entirely on the story (which has better voice acting in some parts than Bethesda) and RPG character building. The way healing is limited (potions and restoration magic have a cumulative penalty that is expensive to bring down without specific methods) forces you to play smart and use things like food for out of combat healing
>he didn't disable killcams
yikes
the virgin soule
youtube.com
the chad kopp
youtube.com
What?
Per class? Or as in the talents have 3 tiers? I don't fucking know.
I feel like they must mean one per tree but I've never found one
Nothing except for the pretty dumb AI. Teleport ability kinda solves the problem in combat, but it still needs to be fixed.
Crowd control is quite important if you want your ghosts to be really useful though.
Anyone tried the guardian/entropy line yet? Seems that I can go full lich king with that.
Guardian?
Less skeleton army more using healing staff to babysitting a companion doing what you would be doing if you'd chosen (insert build here) instead.
Sorry, I'm just re-tralslationg the GER verison . Keeper, maybe - middle tree in the combat tree.
They get spells based on your level in that particular school (learning points, not memory), but spell tomes are literally all over the game and reach highest rank on all spells regardless of your level
Does 64 bit Skyrim really run that great? Fallout 4 was 64Bit and ran like shit
I don't get how people have this run like shit, I have a 970 and it's a solid 60 for me with everything maxed. Only time it chugs is in some really dense woodland and it's not bad. You did enable all the optimization options right? It doesn't even crash any more since they added the new one.
You should be using crowd control in battle, not healing. Also:
>summon a ghost
>give it a summoning spell
>ghost summons a summon
>summon your own summon
>Does 64 bit Skyrim really run that great?
Yes. Fallout 4 runs like shit because of Bethesda's monkey tier coding.
Come on man, the music was definitely the strongest part of Skyrim. Listening to the soundtrack on it's own you realize it's the perfect mood setter and really adds soul to Skyrim, but sadly it's not backed up by anything else in the game so it feels forgettable when playing.
Definitely. Soule is too good for bethesda.
really? I guess I'll install it then
First Gothic was made by two German autists. They wanted to make dream game, they did it, then returned to their normal lives. It's a wonderful story, to be honest. Piranha Bytes made Gothic II without their founders.
To be honest, for me Skyrim's soundtrack was off-putting. Most of Soule's works are legit amazing, but I dislike this one.
Skyrim has some good tracks but they weren't used well. Enderal actually does a good job of using music inserts for the important moments.
>music was definitely the strongest part of Skyrim.
no.
>Listening to the soundtrack on it's own you realize it's the perfect mood setter and really adds soul to Skyrim
listining to it on its own or in game mostly makes you realize how often you already heard almost the exact same music from all the other games with music from jeremy soule.
how does it add to the "soul" when you constantly think of dawn of war 2 when playing skyrim? except the nagging feeling of both games being similar in regard of being disappointing.
For blade dancer is the sword crit or axe bleed perk worth it over the mace one?
Mace > Axe > Sword
Crits are worthless.
The crit dmg relies on base weapon dmg, so Mace>Axe>Sword
How do crits even work?
Dualwield and go 1axe 1mace. Axe for big guys
Yes, and I've been using 2h and the crits aren't very good.. Its not like its requiem where the base dmg is insanely high making crit dangerous to enemies
>He doesn't use Voice of the Forgotten
Isn't crit damage an extra stat for each weapon independent of the base damage?
Crit just works by giving you base weapon dmg as extra dmg, also crit is a sword spec
Who /daggers/ here
>vandal and keeper can become battlemages and seraphs
>only keeper can become dark keeper
It's not fair.
I'm running 2handed and I'm at the point where I need to decide what three weapon types I want to specialize in, and the consistent bonuses you get from axe/hammer perks seems so much better than the slight CHANCE of landing a crit with a greatsword. Like, is there any benefit from greatsword otherwise that balances this out or is it just a blatantly bad gameplay design?
>wake up
>nothing
Thanks for nothing, Germany
Guess great swords have the highest attack speed. Not sure how far above the other types and how much tactical advantage that could provide in regards of exploiting staggers and avoiding getting bashed yourself.
I'm still at Riverville but it seems like 2handers kill in so few hits that it doesn't make much sense to spec for GS because of higher attack speed+chance of crit, when warhammer gives a nice armor bypass bonus.
>Demon Calia
That's kinda hot
Is this basically just a storyline mod for base Skyrim, or is basically an entire other game?
And is there any summoner focus for magic? I was slightly disappointed how few summonables there were in Skyrim compared to Oblivion.
It's like a standalone game built on Skyrim's engine. Feels like a fleshed out standalone game, a bit buggy, but it's free so
It's an entire other game. Entropy is this game's version of Conjuration and it gets a lot of summons. There's another talent tree based on equipping & summoning permanent ghost companions and you can do both.
Neat, might check it out later then, thanks.
Powerful swords also tend to be more common than maces and axes. Just making one yourself fixes that of course.
I've noticed this too, every unique weapon is a sword or staff. I've never seen a unique mace before
The lead mercenary in Lishari's dungeon uses a unique mace.
Old Dothulgrad was fun, I hope there's more big dungeon crawls
Uhhh. Is the plot just german Mass Effect in fantasy setting?
AAAAAGGGGHHH
Why is everyone gonna restart when the patch hits? It's not gonna be compatible with current saves or what?
Who's everyone? You're the first I see mentioning this.
People wanting to play around with the "fixed" phasmalist I guess. I think the patch is getting too much hype, I doubt they're going to change much.
My good user, when's this patch even supposed to come out?
This weekend
Hello, everyone.
Community manager on steam for Enderal here.
The patch will release at approximately 6pm EST today.
6pm est german time?
Big if true
user...........................
The game itself runs fine, outside of the occasional crash. Takes fucking forever to load though.
Put it on an SSD if you have one, that made the load times way faster for me
Skyrim's load times have always been shyte on a HDD.
its mass effect if the story hadnt been ruined in 3, just all around better executed.
Kinda, although you can't really save anyone except yourself and 1 more person. The downer ending also is something that keeps me from replaying it now that the undercity questline is in
Trump here, this poster is a LIAR.
>talk to Jaspar about going to Ark
>he gives me some skill books
>drop conversation to tell the bard to shut up
>talk to Jaspar again, he gives me more books
Now do I exploit this or not
So Phasmalism is all about just creating your own companion who is a ghost right ? Nothing else to it ?
where do i get patches from for pirated version?
Don't worry, I'll PM you them :)
Tharael deserves to die.
It gets some enchanting-related perks but yeah pretty much. It's something you take to supplement your other talent trees, not by itself
cs rin ru
Alright cool, i'm just asking around to get an idea of what i want to build before i do a playthrough.
OH NO NO NO NO
it's already past 6pm est german time
Yea Forums btfo
The High Ones did this.
>enderal
This. Soooo much this. These fuckers are bane of stealth archers.
What made you Fleshless, faggots?
Kek, it's better with sound
I wish they'd just say what's going to be in it so I can decide if I want to wait or not
Why mod it? for armors/weapons and enchantment effects. Because there are barely any good ones.
how different is this from the first Enderal that came out like 2 or 3 years ago?
Enderal's main character is actually an allegory for refugees.
>you are a shitskin criminal in your homeland
>sailing for a new land to start a new life
>actually die and your corpse gets washed up ashore
Wait, you can sprint?
Nigga are you for real right now?
Press alt to sprint.
Those were my pains too. Forget about sneak - just level up bow, get eye of the storm. THEN level up sneak. AI detection in this game is broken, even more so than in Skyrim, but its doable to make a sneaky archer. Make sure to have magick as backup.
agreed
Wait a minute...
I found one for blades. They are books that you need Memory points to activate. The one I got gives you a dash attack that staggers opponents.
Decent amount of new quests(one ties up a huge plothole of the original), two new skill trees, I think they might have fucked around with some of the original skill tree balance but don't quote me on that.
Also added a new ending, but honestly if you didn't like the original two endings I don't think the new one is much better.
If you didn't like the original release this one won't change your mind, but it's a fun expansion if you did.
oh I liked the first one, much better than OG Skyrim desu. Maybe I'll try this to bridge the gap between DMC5 and Sekiro
also what was the plothole? been ages since i played it
Yeah the plot is basically mass effect. I remember reading the main author's thoughts on it. I think his defense was that he started writing it way before ME3.
Yeah I remember him having some lengthy debate about it with some redditor.
Apart from both being giant humanoid machines, their background is completely different. Although the human reaper thing is the same as another plot point.
>that Nehrim reference
Keked
>Proceed to literally destroy the entire country after getting special treatment from the government
Checks out
oh fuck I remember that quest. The one at the mines right?
Yes, in the beginning.
Tiny bottled Odahviing is almost done. just for you user
I'm looking into connecting the fire breath shout to it so the shout can be used as a lesser power while little Odahviing here is equipped.
the special Seven Things backpack is kinda disappointing visually
Vatyrs are ez tho
>Have 22 hours in the game
>Be level 26
>Have explored a bunch of places
>Only just did the main quest where talk to the lady who helps you to "control" your Arcane Fever
Should I keep doing the main quest or should I get back to exploring and doing sidequests?
Has anyone found the Entropy book?
Do the main quest for a bit, when you get a "wait a day quest" go and do some shit
If you level too much the main quest will be really easy, but honestly just do whatever i doubt itll ruin your experience.
>43 hours
>level 15
I have no idea how. Probably I keep forgetting to close the launcher.
I am doing heavy armor/entropy. It is really good, the only problem is though is that you're not really like the Lich King because Arthas still used his sword a lot, and you're basically just gonna be using devour soul + any Entropy spell 95% of the time, and maybe you'll summon a weapon sometimes.
Are there radiant quests in this mod?
Swords have the highest attack speed by a pretty significant margin compared to maces, and the base damage of weapons is higher in this game than in skyrim.
However, Maces and Axes scale much better than crits, because by default crits are only 50% more damage right?
yo where tf is the nigga's corpse in the like newly born quest?
The books he gives you only go up to 25, right?
Nope.
Haha! I have 400 health now! Thaumaturgy is OP.
Is that the Skyrim mod? Didnt it came out lie 5 years ago?Why are we having threads now?
Those Golden Sickle starting quests are something straight out of Gothic. Especially that guy who is testing you.
That might be it. If you go around exploring you get a shitload of XP. I went far into the north and found some ruins where there were these ice-spiders and soldiers (their name started with an N, I forgot the word). I got to the end and I spent about 45 minutes fighting this one guy over and over and over because he kept killing me. Eventually after using literally all of my healing potions, I killed him and got 3 pieces of a heavy armor set that gives +caster stats, and I am a Dark Keeper, so it's fucking awesome.
I got like 2 or 3 levels in that place alone.
It got an expansion patch that added in several new large quests, fixed a shitload of bugs, added a bunch of new content and gave it an official steam release. As long as you own Skyrim you can just install it for free separately like it is its own game, and the steam release only came out a couple of weeks ago.
I literally just saw it for the first time on the front page of steam when it came out a bit ago. I hadn't heard of it until then.
In the settings there is a box you can tick to close the launcher after starting the game.
Hey guys is this a multiplayer game with VOIP? (Voice chat)
Fake news (unironically)
Cool. I remember it being actually better than Skyrim
>agnod
It is a little hard for me to call it "better" than Skyrim when it is a mod that heavily relies on Skyrim for everything that isn't writing, but am definitely loving it. I just don't really compare the two.
So THERE WILL BE NO PATCH TODAY?
Is this correct ?
Si.
Got pictures of the weapons?
Why are the food buffs so bland? Its just healing over time but with different duration. I wish they'd implement something to make it distinct to one another
I'll upload a picture with all of them in a couple minutes user.
turn down distant object detail, shadow distance and water reflections
1. Enable all of the multi-threading, ENB hack, and stuff like that in the launcher
2. Set shadow distance a lot lower and make sure shadows are at medium or less
3. Turn down distant object detail and distant grass
When I did those (and left like everything else on max) I am at a near constant 60 FPS with only occasional drops to ~50 in the worst of areas.
>Caring about loot over doing the right thing
Shiggy diggy
Nigga are we even playing the same game? Enderal is literally FUCK EVERYONE - the universe.
>the right thing
>implying anyone in this fucking game gets a happy ending
This user gets it.
I have you know, I am a Seraph and I am dedicated to doing the right thing.
What's new in the upcoming patch?
Okay, here's about a third, there are 25 in total and I'm too lazy to screenshot them all.
Some of them have two/onehand versions like the claymore which has a longsword counterpart.
I'll have blue/green optional texture replacers to recolor the red fabric if red isn't your thing.
Do I have to min-max to be effective in this game?
Or can I fuck around and still have a good time in the hardest difficulty?
>effective
No. But you will have a tough time in general. It's a good idea to plan out your setup a bit. You wanna focus on 2 paths overall. For example Phasmalist + Entropy or Traveler + Bulwark or whatever it's called, the middle red path.
What is this question? Hardest difficulty always requires you to cheese.
From my understanding it's 1 per archtype with 3 levels each. There's a frost bomb for AOE freezing, a dash like whirlwind sprint but it damages, and a mind control psionicist style one
>Not using perfect thorium blade
>that greatsword
DIAMONDS
You don't need to minmax if you're playing below the high difficulty settings. My first ever character had investments in heavy armor, blocking, onehanded, twohanded, smithing and entropy so my points weren't focused massively in one place and I did fine. I found a fireball staff early on which gave me elemental firepower without having to actually invest in elementalism, that was useful too.
I've heard the very highest setting has perma-death.
It seems like you can miss some because I found one on the fisherwoman's boat after a certain story segment with Jasper in arabland
>iron path has perma death
Is this true?
Has anybody played Nehrim? Is Oaristys overhaul from the nexus decent or should I avoid it (since I'll only play this once)?
Is an SSE version in the works?
I switched my mod install to SSE a year ago, I aint coming back to oldrim, the game is way more stable.
>The world is fucked so I might as well be too
Nah I gotta try to make it at least a bit better
Looks good, user, can't wait!
Yeah I remember seeing level 2 for psionics and dash in stores then I got the frost bomb from a quest. Rest are scattered I think
They said maybe but probably not.
The game has its own folder though, no need to install skyrim or anything, latest ModOrganizer beta has support for Enderal.
Most of the stability/UI mods are included
I understand. What ending did you pick?Unless this is you're first playthrough?
Fake news
The first vatyr and the first lizardmanthing you encounter are the best.
