Just beat Travis Strikes Again and honestly I didn't really like it. I liked NMH 1 and 2 I honestly love killer7 I thought Killer is Dead was ok and I really liked Silver Case (I ain't counting shadows of the damned). But I didn't like this game at all frankly. It's weird because everyone was telling me you'll like it if you like other Suda games you'll like this one but I really don't understand why, it was just kind of bad to me.

I just want a VN about Travis and the gang.

It has a great story and the gameplay is very good. I played it on bitter and had to learn the game and focus on crowd control by picking enemies from biggest threat to lowest.

Also it has the best music I've heard in years

I wonder if there will be a fully explorable Santa Destroy in 3

damn....so this....is the power.....of Sudafans....whoa....

What if The Smith Syndicate set the whole deathball thing up so they could get travis to help them kill heaven smiles?

The writing is more inline with some of Suda's other works or Kurayami Dance for a recent example. I think people like TSA for more being an anniversary title/examining Suda's work, especially near the end and the twists with games 5 and 6.

I absolutely love the new Badman story.

Looking forward to the story conclusion with Bad Girl. Will her route in the level be canon, or will we have to unlock her with someone else?

It's a really good game with some really clever design choices. Just the fact every time you use your strongest special you can charge it to a higher level made my day, because usually I just save my strongest specials/charged bars for bosses which means 90% of the time I won't be using them until I really need it, but making so that I must use them so I can get them to a higher level to face the bosses at my best and the way they charge so fast is perfect, combined with the chip's cooldown meaning all you had to do was wait a little if you felt like it before going to the next big challenge, I felt like I was using my entire arsenal and doing the best I could do all the time. Pretty fun game if you ask me.

I thought UAA was a scam but Badman's side story made it confusing, who set up those battles?

Important question, does she still say moe during gameplay?

NMH2 fucked that up with a colossal inconsistency by making the UAA an actual thing in the story.

Is the dlc out yet?

Game has great world building and story, but youre lying to yourself if you think the gameplay is good.

Boss fights and characters were dope though..

I think Suda will probably keep the approach TSA/2 did because of how much people seemed to hate the city in the first game

Travis got so popular he made the UAA real (Not like he actually made, other people made it because he was popular) and now people watch assassin fights on pay-per-view.

As long as it's not like NMH1, I like NMH1 but someone's off their fucking rocker if they said that empty and tedious over world added anything to the gameplay.

DLC for Shinobu and Badman's story is out
DLC for Bad Girl, Killer Marathon & more of Travis will be out later

>decided to do a Spicy run
>turns out you get different-looking stickers for defeating the boss of a Death Ball on certain difficulties

Huh. Ok. I suppose I'll save the Sweet clears for Bad Girl when she drops.

Oh I loved all the head nods and the "sudaverse shit" my heart fucking melted when I realized it was Dan talking in the intro and I even got a little happy when I saw Mondo and Epona. Just the actually gameplay to me feels really clunky and repetitive. Like said I think what they do with the supers is really clever and it's a way to speed up the gameplay but frankly I was falling asleep in-between all the boss encounters. Hell even in killer7 the heaven smiles looked like shotty assets but you at least interacted with the lot of them in different ways or had different kill requirements.

I just want an OST all ready.

>have to beat the game to play Shinobu
why tho?

I think its the lack of impact or noise the enemies the enemies make that hurts it the most. No laughter, no screams, no enemies going MY SPLEEN, and no blood or coins flying from enemies which made NMH's regular combat addicting.
I can agree on the game being repetitive since theres some good stages which mix things up like GDGP, and I wish there was more of that instead of Life is Destroy type segments.

>hear about all the drama that devs go through with Game Engines for big titles before they default to the latest Unreal Engine

Is there a reason not to use Unreal as your engine if you're trying to make a title of large or even modest size? What are its shortcomings? Is it super expensive? Does it come with a lot of legal baggage?

>play The Silver Case
>Suda added a random 4-digit puzzle in the game
>it changes after a certain number of attempts
These and sliding puzzles are the bane of my existence.

>playing killer7 for the first time
>mfw the ending to Lion

what the fuck was this game?

Attached: 1538038792335.gif (300x271, 943K)

I have to beat this soon but I also need to repair my left joycon cuz it's been acting weird so fuck me.

I think it'll just depend on whether they get enough budget to make a decent hub world.

killer7 is legit one of my favorite games and I honestly have no idea what fucking happens in it
I've seriously played through it about 20 times and it still goes right over my head
fun game though

>she has Badman's attack range and Travis' attack power
>stunning an enemy and then using her "Moon" Skill Chip can shred health like mad even when you use the combo on bosses while Shinobu is underleveled
>her kick can be charged and covers a large distance

The S in S-Rank stands for Shinobu

If you want the very basic rundown: Harman and Kun Lan are gods, and whenever one country gets too powerful Kun Lan turns people into heaven smiles to deplete the population. It's Harman's job to stop him.

There's always time for fun.
Its friday night

I just did the bosses with her and yeah, her projectile chip is ridiculously broken. At level 20, the only thing saving a boss from being one-shot with it is the forced interruption to trigger the next phase.

Magical Realism Political Horror

Okay but what was up with young harmon smith?
Or Kun's gettup at the end?
Or the entirety of fucking Alter Ego?

Does all Suda51 games share the same universe?
If so what crossover would you like best?
I want a Shinobu/Juliet game going full Oneechanbara

>young harman
I think that's just Harman fucking with Garcian because he was using Garcian to kill heaven smiles.
>Kun's gettup at the end
No idea.
>Entirety of Alter Ego?
It's just Kun Lan playing Handsome Men online game.

Harman and Kun Lan are gods and greater representations of an endless cycle of war of good vs evil. With Harman recruiting the killer7 IE emir to fight for him as his incarnations. At the end of Lion you kill Iwazaru who was just a past incarnations of Kun Lan that Harman killed and turned into a psych reminant that serves him. After the credits end in Shanghai it's just implied the cycle is continuing on again. This is really in the background though as after Sunset the game really focused on Garcian Emir and the killer7 until Lion again.

It's artfully obfuscated by Kun Lan being so much worse than he is, but Ioved the fact that the scene from ANGEL and this one from ALTER EGO reminded you that while he is protecting the world from the Heaven Smiles, Harman is still a coldblooded killer and a psychopath in his own way.

Attached: harman-alter ego.png (639x352, 200K)

>Bad Man was just a relatively normal, if scummy dude, that got pushed so fucking hard that he went from drug dealer to rampaging psychopath with a broken grip on reality
>and then they intentionally did the same thing to his fucking daughter
I only wish it was longer but I that's understandable given there's only so much to be upon for his backstory. But fucking hell that was some messed up shit.

His story was so good, that I forgave it midway through for not having Uncle Death as the Grim Reaper.

can't believe TSA is still making me FEEL in every way

So Ape Out just came out for the Switch (please refrain from Shinobu jokes) and it's pretty damn good:

My thanks to Travis Strikes Again for letting me know that it existed. Even if it was also shilling YIIK with its shirts. Any keen indie titles that TSA helped bring to your attention, Yea Forums?

CE user here. It looks it was already shipped out. People in France got their copies this week, which means I may be getting the English version next week. Keep any eye, I'm going to upload all of the art and interview.

They kind of share the same universe the way the Space Odyssey books do. There's a solid over arching timeline, but the details are a bit different in each. Example, the Smiths exist in NMH, but Japan wasn't obliterates

Kinda yes? I can believe most of the games fit in but if killer7 really took place Japan should be in literal rubble or WW3 should've started or both.

Always assumed it was some fight-night esque shit and Grico (I think his name was) was always tracking Bad Girl no matter her fight. Sylvia simple labeled whatever assassin she could find as ranked, and paid them to act as such. Killer Entertainment was always a thing so it makes sense for me to think as such.

Is Moonlight Syndrome worth playing?

Is it the rapid one? I never got projectiles from it as I only used strong attacks. When I pressed Y nothing seemed to happen.

You can just press the little magnifying glass and it will solve every puzzle for you

1) In Killer7, essences/concepts such as Harman and Kun Lan's reincarnate, but each reincarnation has its own individual soul
2) At one point, Harman killed a reincarnation of Kun Lan and enslaved this reincarnation as a Remnant Psyche
3) USA created the Handsome Men as an anti-Heaven Smile task force, basing them around Japanese super sentai to cover their tracks in case of discovery. The team goes rogue. Pearlharbor, a psychic comicbook writer who is unaware of his abilities, starts a series centred around the Handsome Men whose exploits are based on visions he has of their terrorist attacks a week in advance. Trevor and the US government believe Trevor is somehow controlling the Handsome Men. The killer7 are sent in to assassinate Pearlharbor to put a stop to the attacks only to find out that he has no real control over the Punishing Rangers. Hand in killer7 implies that the Handsome Men were made to rebel after getting overtaken by hackers such as LOVE Wilcox who wanted them to harass the governments of the world for forcing the internet underground.

It is one of the best things suda has ever written, unfortunately the fan translation isn't out yet
You should play/watch the two twilight syndrome games first for added context, the yayoi/chisato twist doesen't really make any sense without those to set it up

What is Killing Past to Killing Future and where can I read it? Also, I remember the one user talking about the the green character for TSC. I'm assuming that's Greenout? Did they find the actual text finally and will it be translated?

Badman's scenario mentions a black dog, did other Suda games reference a black dog?

He has many forms.

Attached: Uncle Death.jpg (3487x4920, 590K)

Killing past to killing future is a short story about Travis' childhood that is included in the UAA ranking bible, it's only in japanese and my copy won't ship for a while so I can't provide scans but there is some interest in translating it
Redout, Blueout and Greenout are getting translated right now by the guy who did Kurayami Dance, filion is his name I think

>Killing past to killing future is a short story about Travis' childhood

Interesting. Anyone have a quick rundown of salient bits of info in it?
