I was going to say something about the map and how it's big so we'll walk around but already, right from our camp, we find a shitload of Springbok being lazy.
It's great. The bad part about the one you played was the subscription style payment model but this game ditched that.

Thanks for reminding me this game existed. I played it back when it first released. It's super relaxing.
The only thing I really hated about it was the grind in order to get better weapons and skills.

I remember all animals eventually have to go there to get a drink, so if you wait long enough you can kill even a lion
stay in the middle of the water and submerge yourself and emerge and shoot the motherfucker when he comes close

It's not outside the realm of possibility that there are hardcore hunter types that want to hunt animals the old-fashioned way
they can still use the gun's scope to try and spot prey before sneaking up on them

Sure enough, following the sound we find a whole lot of warthog tracks and what looks to be bedding in the distance. The wind is blowing in the opposite direction so it wouldn't be a bad choice to follow the tracks.

I can HEAR there are at least two animals around but I can't see shit, so we go prone and move with caution. We discover the bedding we found is from a lesser kudu, not a warthog too so that might mean it is nearby as well.
