Angry Birds 2? If its as good as the first movie, which I thought was pretty decent, it will be a good watch.
But Sonic? Nah. I can smell a terrible movie from miles away and its going to be Topcat the Movie/Show Dogs/Woody Woodpecker levels of shit.
And trust me. Last year I had to sit through a Wrinkle in Time and I think Sonic will be almost as bad as that, just painful, PAINFUL to be stuck there and watching it till the end.

If it fails on anything, its going to be the writing. The acting should be good enough. Each scene from the trailers is full of little details and nods and gags. The set designers really seem to have wanted to create a intricate world for the characters to interact with.
Its going to be a movie people will rewatch and analyse frame by frame for little details just you watch.

I liked the first Guardians movie quite a lot. Only towards the end did it have a few weak scenes. That's a good sign. I remember even the creator and writer of the comics himself praising it despite it taking a couple liberties, which is quite tough to pull off since artists usually hate adaptions of their work.
Steven King is notorious for hating film adaptions of his books and then often going off to do his own version of it (which is usually quite long-winded and contrived with lower budget acting).
