Game plays really well, definitely better than I expected. Missing characters and tag hurt a lot, as does the barebones online. Story mode is awful. There are a few nice moments but the structure is a mess and the majority of the scenes are pointless. At least Nyo, Honkers and Marie have some characterization now. DOA Quest is fun but the unlock system sucks. Graphics are hit or miss. It looks pretty good most of the time but textures are iffy on close inspection and some animations are plain bad. Costumes are underwhelming but most characters have at least one good one. Overall it's not worth getting over LR unless you're a series diehard.

Yes, but only because they made point distribution random. When you earn points they are put towards a random costume. For instance you can do a DOA Quest mission as Hitomi and earn points for a costume for Rig. Each costume has a bar you need to fill to unlock it, at which point you need to buy it with fight money. It's retarded.

It's a struggle. Lag against a ninja or one of the quick characters is a near impossible match up. Few things feel better than getting one of those perfect timing advanced counters for massive damage and a win though.

PC has Venus Vacation, but not an official ENG translation. And it's region-locked (you need a VPN). And you can get english menus and stuff, but not dialogue subtitles. Also, it's free BUT the installation requires a sort of Asian launcher. It's hard to explain. Google it if you're interested. It's out there and available to anyone with a VPN.
