Well, Crash 3 and YotD certainly sparked that remark from what I've seen of their discussions. People are certainly glad the games are back regardless, but they're points that have been noted.
The framerate and glitches are the only parts I hated. Hoping the inevitable PC version cleans them the fuck up.

Like when nearly half the levels are gimmick levels you start to see why they drag on, which is a shame because the levels that follow core game design are pretty much better than 2. Just a lack of challenging 2D sections as well if you ask me.

I can trace where my primary nonsense fetish came from. I think it was a short bit on Tiny Toons, someone had mailed in a request for a cartoon about people with really big butts or something, and Buster reluctantly allowed it. It was about a family that was all like 15 feet tall with most of that being in their legs, and just outrageously fat. The entire skit was just repeated gags about how big they were, trying to sit down at the normal sized tables at a restaurant and like smashing the waiter through a wall with their ass or something. They weren't even drawn to be hot or anything, but it was back in the 90s when there was a lot of care for the animation, even for something fucked up like that.
Fast forward 20+ years later and now this is the stupid shit I like.
