All the stuff being discussed in this and other threads ultimately boils down to people desperately clawing at other people, trying to "blame" them for stuff as if everything could be fixed if we could just get rid of the /pol/tards or resetera trannies or whatever. But deep down, they don't really believe there's a solution, they really just believe everything's fucked and they want to go down swinging.

If everyone right now stopped responding to every single piece of shitty bait on Yea Forums the quality would instantly skyrocket. If you look at smaller boards not responding to obvious bait and shitposting, you'll notice that it does in fact impact the quality of any given thread, or just the board in general. Shitposters eventually get tired and give up, as difficult as that is to believe on a board like Yea Forums where there's a seemingly endless, and tireless, supply of them.

Actual moderation helps, but ultimately it's up to the users to decide how shitty they want their board to be. Yea Forums's made their mind up about that a long time ago, so here we are.
