Any JRPG really.
WRPGs generally tend to have very bland and forgettable soundtracks with maybe 1 or 2 memorable songs at best.
>Play JRPG
>Overworld music is extremely fun, catchy and/or bombastic
>30% of the game happens inside caves with boring cave music
>The town you spend a lot of time doing town stuff has very expected town music

Say what you want about XC2, but the music is stellar.

Man, the battle music by the end of the game is just too good
To be fair most JRPGs these days have pretty bland music too. At least compared to the better JRPG OSTs anyway.
Dynamic music is a Xenoblade staple at this point
>Valak, Satorl and Eryth at night
>Noctilum at night, Sylvalum at any time
>Tantal, Uraya and Leftheria at night, Mor Ardain at day
The awful overworld theme gets replace by the chad DQ3 theme. doesn't sound too good anyway
5 and 2 have the best overworld themes.
The music in Xenoblade 2 was fucking phenomenal.
This might be one of the greatest snow level themes ever, and it captures the sharp, bitter painful feeling of ice better than most levels that just opt for jolly christmas music or 'comfy' atmospheric music written by people who unironically believe the cold is anything comfy.

Witcher 3
Nips know their snow.
Every Xenoblade game's music actually peaks at the halfway point or so (Valak, Tantal and Sylvalum respectively)
Yeah. We only remember the good jrpg osts, but there's a ton of trash jrpgs out there with bland music
Should really have made the flight pack activate by pressing jump in mid-air, that plus the field and flight themes not restarting from scratch each transition but continuing where it left of would have fixed everything
Even low budget and mediocre JRPGs can have good music.

>music keeps getting better with every game in the trilogy
Deus Ex and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines had fantastic soundtracks. Witcher 3's a good recent example of an excellent WRPG soundtrack. That said it is unfortunately rare compared to good JRPG soundtracks.
Shin Megami Tensei. Pretty much every Atlus RPG counts but SMT especially.
This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't fucking LOOP every time you started flying again. Those first three notes will be stuck in my head for eternity.
Sylvalum and Tantal are way past the halfway point. And Valak isn't the best track in Xenoblade 1.

The music peaked in Crossbell, Sen's tracks are still nice though. Kinda like how Ys' music was at it's best with Seven. Nayuta's soundtrack is phenomenal too.

Tantal is amazing.
