I wish WRPGs were like that now.
Kingdom Come Deliverance
This
Mount & Blade.
aren't more WRPGs like the left side now?
>t. Likes perpetuating memes more than playing games
Its like you've never played Pillars or Divinity.
I have never played it.
>infinity engine wannabes
Kotor
For all its faults, the fact that an RPG THAT in-depth (and that isn't another isometric cRPG) in 2018 is simply amazing.
>Its like you've never played Pillars or Divinity
Top right but the alien is some fantasy race and also a tranny
>radiant historia
>darkest dungeon
Ay least its an example i can think of atm.
Yeah but most turn base rpgs are brain dead.
Since when did most modern WRPGs have hot, succubuses and demon girls without mods? Witcher is an exception
>Yeah but most turn base rpgs are brain dead.
maybe if you only play jrpgs
>what is Etrian Odyssey
>Darkest Dungeon
>Good
>Dude le rng
I don't play games that don't let me be straight.
An average wizardry clone
Sengoku Rance
>Pretending WRPGs are better
You're not one of those guys who think D:OS is a deep and strategic RPG, right?
the first two paper mario games
>abysmal PvM
>non-stop grindan for useless skills
no
I love cutscene attacks especially those who use good voice acting. Wish more games had them.
Does the newest FF has them? (Summons?)
there is only one good JRPG, and it's Pokemon Trading Card Game for Gameboy Color
Yes
Roguelikes and Turn Based Strategies have the best turn based combat. They're also very unpopular, with Roguelikes only surviving because it's a genre founded in free software ideals.
Make of this what you will.
yeah it is
the most cancerous cancer there is
cutscene spells in PS:T are pretty great tho
My fucking nigger
>ITT
Fpbp
>yeah it is
I guess you think spamming your commands on a MMO cooldown after you proc any of your completely identical status effects takes effort or strategy, let alone completely cheese the game with terrain transmutation instakills or Scoundrel+Warfare, if you feel honest enough.
cringe
Assuming you mean modern RPGs, I'm struggling.
>I can play the game one way
good for you
doesnt the cat on the left look very japanese while the fat american cat looks dopey and lazy ?
Image kinds of falls apart with Fire emblem 3 houses
did you just equate the word japanese with good
What are the other ways?
At least things like Terrain Transmutation isn't just ungabunga like 90% of your toolkit, where the entire gameplay revolves around depleting your armor of choice, chain proc one of the five identical one turn shutdown status and then depleting HPs, hell, most toolkits share the same exact tools too and most magic is either for direct damage or buffs, when there's not completely useless skills like Planar Gateway.
What other ways are there to fight in D:OS that aren't in any other RPG out there? Cooking pot walls? Don't make me laugh.
> J/W RPGs now
> WRPG isn't romancing a Dinosaur Man who is suddenly to make the option work
> JRPG has more than one males in the party. Other characters aren't Idol singers in skimpy clothing. ANGELDEMON isn't a stripper that does S&M on the side.
Look at this babby!
Witcher
Peruse Owners 5-1
>skills
>useless
Sounds like pures nonsense to me.
Underrail
>hurp durp rng
You gotta be a retard to continously be bad at the game.
outside of combat skills, agility, smithing, slayer, thieving (which only becomes good at 90+), runecrafting (which only becomes decent at 81), slayer (which is slow as shit and makes money only at 70+) and arguably farming, all the skills serve no purpose other than meeting quest/diary requirements, as their only other use is to make money and they're terrible moneymakers at that
replace that girl by a black nigger gay man/lesbian woman and you are correct
>non-combat skills are only good if you can rake in the big dollars at max efficiency
Runescape will not be fun no matter what you try to level with that mentality.
