Also it just depends. I associate pukish green or other shades of green by something that comes out of a being, while Purple is moreso for artificially made stuff, like an actual virus, or those purple bubbles you see above you sometimes when you have the Poison status ailment.

Only in japan, where the lines between blue and green are a little blurry. Otherwise, blue is mana.

Most things that make poison are red, poison itself is usually clear.

green is stamina

Venom (creatures) = Clear, yellow, green
Poison (vials, weapons) = purple, clear, dark green
Toxic waste / Radiation (level hazards) = mountain dew
Acid (projectiles) = Dark green, Green, yellow

Why the fuck is green always stamina? It doesn't make any sense, if anything it should be yellow since you could then make an argument that it is energy

because green is go, and when you run out of stamina you've run out of go.
