how does one even know if one has this?
Maybe his favorite color is not blue but red then?
so entire ps3/x360 gen?
No. Tritanopia practically means yellow-green colorblindness.
>Just look at the green Bruv, it's just like in the real world
All he ever sees are various intensities of pinkish red and grayish blue.
Tales of Symphonia.
A Link to the Past
>game lets you play as a beekeeper
Are you retarded? If he saw blood green and grass red then he'd learn that blood is red and grass is green so he'd never know green and red are reversed for him.
Tritanopia seems like it's breeds killing machines.
A fuckload of Zelda games.
>second half of the game is the same shit except backwards

>how does one even know if one has this?
You just take simple tests and/or go see a doctor. Usually the problem's already recognized during childhood, if the kid appears to use weird colors when filling coloring books, etc.
One of the simplest and quickest tests are these shapes-in-spots images, that for a person with normal vision are plainly obvious, but that appear completely blank and same colored to folks with anomalous eye sight.
There's versions for all the color blindness variants.
>tfw no evil goth bandicoot slut gf
Do circles 2, 3 or 4 in look the same as circle 1 for you?
These look the same to me.
fuck you
user...
No that's wrong. You can objective measure red and green and tell the color by the value recorded.
>game has RNG as you spawn
I have deuteranopia but I feel like this chart is exaggerated...?
I guess it's impossible for me to tell since I'm looking at it behind color-impaired eyes to begin with.
Yeah because you can hook a computer into his eye sockets and tell the RGB values for him
Fucking idiot
>game let's you spend your free time with your couple
What? Are they actually different? they just look like colored pencils.
Digimon world 3 which copy pasted the whole 1st half of the game into the 2nd and tints it purple.
Yes you can. You being serious right now?
You can.
>I have deuteranopia but I feel like this chart is exaggerated...?
Nope. In fact, for a normie-sighted fag like me, the 2 and 3 look identical, and with a very hastly glance they all could all be mistaken to be just full color palettes.
Stop fucking with me, panel 1 and 2 are the same.
Why isn't everyone getting robot eye surgery if this is possible
>I see no difference between Normal vision and Deuteranomaly
guys?
FFVI is the first and last game that did "you failed" correctly.

They can't fucking fix it you absolute fucking stupid retard
Tritanomaly seems pretty cool.
Current cyber eyes are inferior to organic ones. Give it about a decade tops.
user...
me too
user, are you pretending to be retarded right now? Cause I mean first of all, how would letting other people know what color you are seeing be worth anything outside of a doctor diagnosis?
Silent Hill
open the image in paint, use the colorpicker to pick the same spot on different images then open "Edit Colors" to see the numerical values the color gives. But skip the left 3 pencils, they're mostly the same.
My cousin has Tritanopia and literally cannot tell the difference between pink and gray.
He works in comics.
but where are the mutations that let people see MORE colors / non-normally visible colors
This is describing my outlook on life.
What a brainlet holy shit
>hasn’t played DQ11
Pretty embarrassing dudette
why are there so many brainlets when it comes to understanding colorblindness and color perception?
Life with Achromatopsia must be fucking amazingly depressing. Imagine if you got your eyesight fixed and you managed to finally see color, like equilibrium lol.
It's literally the same image
troll image, I see the same colors in 1 and 2 here but I've been tested for colorblindness before
user you have doodoonomaly lol
It's either a troll image or the artist had Deuteranomaly and therefore painted to suit
>But skip the left 3 pencils, they're mostly the same.
user...
Considering the leading cause is stroke or brain cancer you're probably a little more worried about not dying than seeing in color again.
what? The deuteranomaly is a little decolored and moved, is that correct?
Cope, enjoy your deuteranomaly.

No, I haven't. Still working my way through Trails of Cold Steel II.
Being an adult means a lot less gaming time.
Everything is slightly to the right in deuteranomaly.
I now see the difference with the gif, thanks.
I'll give you the leftmost one but the 2 after are distinctly different.
in deuteranomalia you see blue colors just fine
What if color blindness was just one big prank from medical community?
(((Medical Community)))
It is. Just like cancer, aids, and lynks.
>we taught him the colors of the rainbow wrong as a joke

I said the left 3 pencils are mostly the same, as in their differences aren't as pronounced as with the rest, not as in most of them are the same color.
Now grow a couple braincells & learn to read context instead of wasting my time by making me clarify my statements for you.
but what about dogs?

one is saved as jpg and the other one isn't, literally all the difference
life with tritanopia must be like living in an elvish dreamworld
His work was definitely pretty impressive for someone with literally no color vision, though a lot of it very abstract. I guess he was fine just being a teacher, seemed to be well liked enough.
Bottom looks better. Top is gaudy and childish.
You now realize that you actually can't describe colours at all without using colours, so you just assume that everybody else sees blue or red the same way you do. you cannot prove you have normal vision. We can both say the colour of Yea Forums is the blue, but we'll never know if we're actually seeing the same colour
>the colour of Yea Forums is blue
user...
What are you, twelve?
>You now realize that you actually can't describe colours at all without using colours
No, you can use wavelength value.
*the colour of 4channel is the blue

>Humans see in .jpg
Wow, biology must have been hard for you
You cannot even describe any sensation without using something else as a reference point. You are forever isolated inside your mind.
Silent hill?
Deuteranomaly has a better graphics.
>You are forever isolated inside your mind
There is research that shows some women may actually be tetrachromats. Instead of having 3 cones in their eyes, they have 4, meaning they get almost an order of magnitude more color differential.
And they say males are privileged.
I wonder how much more they actually see. I would imagine that the brain still has to be able to interpret the different signals properly if they are to use the extra information available.
>I would imagine that the brain still has to be able to interpret the different signals properly if they are to use the extra information available.
It does. As a result, women end up seeing problems where none exist.
> normie-sighted fag
Or maybe your color vision isn't as good as you think it is. While they look similiar on first glance, they are different.
If you score 0 points here, then you have optimal color vision:
Each come sees value from 0 to 100. Normal vision is roughly 1000000 colors from 3 cones. This is actually why color blind people see Less too. In my case with Deuto my red and green cone are connected meaning I only see 10000 different colors. For women with the 4th cone which last I looked only saw like 20 different values they see literally 20000000 different colors. An example that's known is the green-red color. It looks green to most people but to the tetrachromats it's a weird hybrid color, both red and green at the same time.
>7
I'm ok with this
Can a colorblind person dream of colors he can't see?
>mfw green/red/blue object is actually all but green/red/blue
Dreams are a product of your memories so no.
not him, but i got a 0 and i also think that the two look nearly identical.
>all the animals with more color cones or different cones than you
>tfw there are colors you'll never see
A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build
Wait what's the difference between protanopia and deuteranopia
I got 14 because I'm a lazy fuck who felt overwhelmed by the effort and sped through it.
I can see each color and the differences in the color wheels posted earlier though.
Deuter's darker colors are slightly lighter compared to prota, and what would normally be magenta (i think) is a dark, grayish-blue for prota, but a pure grey for deuter
Also it was the mid greens and blue/violet that I missed on.
I think you should test for ADHD next
I wish I could give myself Tritanopia for a day. It looks amazing.
It being all the same shit at first glance was too much and disheartened me because I knew I had to actually put in effort to place them. It's pure laziness, nothing more. I was willing to do it quickly and get some wrong if it meant less effort in the end.
Have a cool image though. No it's not a screamer, I'm not a dick like that.
>Gif
You're not fooling anyone
But seriously, that was pretty cool.
>No it's not a screamer
Not this time faggot
Actually though I'd like to know why that happens, is it due to the colors from before? I really should just look it up.
It's how your brain works. You "get used" to a sensory input by your brain feeding the opposite value to counter act it. Then when the input is taken away it takes a few seconds for your brain to turn off the counter value. Very easy to have happen with noise.
>Very easy to have happen with noise.
Ah, so like the bit of time after having a loud cicada in the general area, but for the eyes. That's pretty interesting shit.
no, to see color certain reserves in your eyes get drained. color is of a certain light wave length. Your eyes have molecules in them that correspond to the light wave length. As you see intense blue or red, the molecules react to that are are drained (technically they flip in confromation). it takes time for your eye to recover those colors, so if you are exposed to intense blue, you cannot see blue for a while. Those pictures make use of this.
I wish i could live with some form of color blindness for a day or two. It would be cool to see the world through an instagram filter.
>evil
Eversion
Well that is still pretty interesting.
>and with a very hastly glance they all could all be mistaken to be just full color palettes.
No, even though the thumbnail clearly depicts the form of several colour palettes, it is immediately obvious that two of them lack any colour but yellow and blue, the lack of red stands out.
4, all bars perfect other than the skincoloured one.
> 113
>protanopia and deuteranopia look exactly the same
Tritanopia actually looks fucking baller. Is there like some kind of glasses you can wear to simulate that?
That technique can also be used to "see" extra-spectral colors, such as octarine.
Look at intense green and look away in a dark room.

So is it actually possible for a color to exist that doesn't exist on the electromagnetic spectrum?
Just trying to think about it racks your brain because its trying to comprehend something incomprehensible since we can only see and comprehend the colors of the electromagnetic spectrum, and I'm not talking about UV and infrared and gamma rays either but visible light color that just doesn't exist in our universe.
Is it possible? Say for example in some other universe with different physical laws, maybe?
Fuck the idea of trying to think up some new nonexistant color is the biggest brainfuck the longer you try, because its literally impossible but you can't let go of the possibility of it being possible somehow, and at the same time can't comprehend what that would even look like because all our experience of color is dependent on the electromagnetic spectrum and there exists a possibility that even if there are multiverses they would have the same electromagnetic spectrum and the same colors as ours, and no true new color can ever exist outside of that which is a bit sad.
>25
I want to go to bed so I'm okay with this
"Colors" are defined by visible wavelength. If the spectrum your eyes can see was wider, there would be more colors. So yes, it's absolutely possible for more "colors" to exist.
I once had a dream in which that happened. Obviously I can't actually describe how it looked.
>Parents tell me I'm colorblind since I see colors differently from them
>mom especially lords it over me since she fancies herself an interior decorator
>after getting our eyes tested around my middle school days I turn out to be the only one in the house NOT colorblind
it depends on how you define color. What we call color is just a couple of wavelengths on the electromagnetic scale.
The problem with color (and other experiences like it) is that you cannot describe it. Hell, if we both look at something that is red, you might preceive something entirely different than what I see. You might see what I call blue. But since we both look at the same thing, and we both agree to call it "red", it is red.
Wouldn't those colors just be UV, gamma, infrared, derivatives of the visible wavelength colors? Like in the end the base colors which we see would still be visible, I'm talking about a totally new color we couldn't even "see" because our eyes don't have the right receptors for them even
Yeah I know I remember having and obsessing over that thought years ago (is my green the same as everyone elses green) on my walks to school but eventually I found the idea of the possibility of colors existing outside our known electromagnetic spectrum far more interesting to try and comprehend.
The fact that the brain can even try to comprehend something incomprehensible to its limited experience like a whole different color is pretty remarkable too, of course no matter how hard you try you literally cannot concieve of any "new" color outside of the ones we know
>One player is randomly granted meat vision.
What were they fucking thinking?
>woman that is colorblind
jesus what a failure
I think there are glasses that already do that, no need to put a needle in your eye
well technically our perception is limited by whatever our brain can process. So maybe you can experience "seeing" something by stimulating your brain in a certain way that cannot be achieved in any other way by using your eyes. So that could be another color entirely.
>meat vision
>cannot be achieved by using your eyes
This makes me think of people who report exceptionally vivid colors and everything in lucid dreams, since you are not seeing with your eyes there but with your brain, maybe in lucid dreams it can be possible to try to experience a new color, I'll have to try.
No pair of glasses is gonna fix the receptors user.
I know a guy that I think has it and he wears glasses with yellow lenses though, so I assume you can at least make the contrast clearer with it.
>All textures are the same ugly mess except for a single NPC
What a fucking shit game
>maroon
>purple

No
If you smoke DMT you can feel differences of colours.
How do these color vision shit even work? If you have undiagnosed color blindness wouldnt looking at these images and seeing differences just be also normal? Like youd think youre lucky because you see red as a more vibrant brown than other people when youre actually the guy who has the impairment the picture is trying to highlight?
i am red-green blind but i don't have this weird less colour vision. i don't get this picture
if you have an android phone you can set it to simulate tritanopia then look through your camera.
>Cantaloupe
Implying that's not Coral and you know it
fuck off
This is literal autism.
Wtf I got 0 i thought i fucked up hard
take acid. It links your senses together (Synesthesia), so you might be able to see new colors by smelling stuff.
They just can't discern the colours that we perceive to be different. As for how they "see" it, shit, I don't know. My "red" could be your "blue" for all I know.
Bottom just looks more washed out

So I've had this yellow tint in my right eye since I was born, anyone got any ideas of what this could be?
>red/green is literally the only opposite pair that's somehow hard to tell apart
Did the great game designers of past ages actually pick these as default friendly/enemy colors just to fuck with people?
Nice trips, also take note that these tests aren't completely reliable on computers because the colours vary from one screen to another.
Bird vision is pretty neat
Deuteranomaly and protanomaly look the same to me
i always thought green stands for neutral and ally is blue
>being able to see the colour of magic
Tritanopia would be cool for a few hours
ha ha must be our cheap monitors
ha
There is a very slight difference at the far right of each others' lines but yeah they're pretty much the same thing
I would choose tritanotopia from this pic. The most pleasant shades of red+blue, this is very nice
looks like salmon you pleb
these are done reguarly to kids and in every basic check, they are done from paper not computer screen. What kind of world does one live in who hasn't done this test?
To everyone who scored higher and thinks he has normal colour vision: calibrate your goddamn monitor.
You someone get to work on Tritanopia glasses
>tfw dogs are colorblind
You didn't fail in OoT. Time happened, and you retcon it.
theres no coral color retard
>second half of the game is replaying the first half of the game 8 more times
fuck bravely default
Yes I realised this as a kid and I was just told "no fuck off". You will never be able to describe any feelings either, or anything, because in the end you won't know if the feeling is actually similiar to the other.
i love this meme where we post identical images and then reply pretendng they have different colors
it definitely doesn't get old the 100th time or anything
Jaundice?
I would never want to see colours through some other type. I'm fully red green color blind though. I feel like it would be like finding out your Elvis with amnesia. Everything you know is suddenly not right.
user...
ugh this takes too much effort. I am really good at seeing different shades tho. It's annoying when a game has color customisation, and if it's a slider instead of being set colors or coordinates you can type, I'll get really frustrated trying to always find the exact same spot.
of course I wouldn't want it in real life, I have perfect vision in every way. But the color combination was the most aesthetically pleasing, something I would use somewhere
Then you didn't "fail" either in FF6 considering the world is happy and green after Kefka dies.
This is actually pretty cool. Why and how does this work?
not really, you have to travel within worlds the whole game.
>Maroon
>Purple
Excuse me?
Is the point this image's trying to make that men are fucking retarded?
I'd fucking guess so, why is Fern not also between the green/blue tones? And how the fuck is maroon purple?
Maroon is closer to brown, or red, not fucking purple!
What kinda fucking retard can't separate Lavender either?!
Why are there only two fucking tones of yellow? This chart fucking sucks!
Cantaloupe looks more fucking pink than orange there!
Sea foam is not even close to green! At least say Cyan you fucking iliterate piece of shit image!
And get that Maroon out of there!!!
FUCK!
Super Mario World
I did 11 but I'm 30 years old boomer, almost blind on 1 eye.
If you get more than me, you are a retard. Or you have serious eye problems user, go check the oculist
user these pictures are identical
What's that one disorder where you can't perceive faces? I always found that concept terrifying, like you look at people and have to identify them by body or voice or mannerisms because their faces are a blurry incomprehensible mess.
Allright, but where are some VIDEOGAMES where I play as colorblind protagonist
I did it anyways and delivered perfectly just like I claimed.
Prosopagnosia
Autism? I mean unironically, what else could it be?
Prosopagnosia. It's not actually an eyesight problem with "blur" or anything, it's a brain defect that prevents you from associating specific facial features with people.
....oh fuck, I had that when I was born, well atleast my other eyes fine.
From what I understand, with prosopagnosia they aren't a "blurry incomprehensible mess", they see faces just fine. They just can't, given two faces, tell whether they are same or different.
Oh good, that's far less terrifying.
Unironically this thread turned out to be amusing and also very interesting, I don't even care if it's vidya related or not, keep posting
Based non brainlet
Our eyes adapt to colors we see over time and mute them a bit causing us to see negative after images.
Is it okay if I take several rests each time I do a meter, I swear it becomes more and more difficult unless I loo at other stuff for some time, or is that cheating?
You now realize that off-topic threads are the only places that don't get filled with cancer because they fly under the radar of all the insane faggots that come here only to shitpost.
spyro: shadow legacy sorta
Because every other post isn't just "lmao this platform is worse than this SEETHING tardboy". Honestly one platform people are childish and miserable
oh shit someone else played this too? I loved it as a child, but it was slightly dissappointing that you spent most of your time in the shadow world so half of your moves were pretty much useless. At least that's how I remember it.

Not bad I guess.
Oh God it must be horrendous to have that, I bet it explains why so many people are just nihilistic and sad/angry their whole lives.
Before colored TV everyone dreamed in black and white.
This is what my anime game told me so its true.
They never asked for this
