Every time they try to progress beyond the UMKIII roster -- without including the favorites -- they will fail. EVERY time. Know why? Because Boon and co. are comic book and SyFy fans, not martial arts fans, who try to insert that Injustice and FarScape shit into MK.

They think MK should be a comedy-horror science fiction rather than kung fu horror comedy. As crap as he is on his own, Homeless Tobias understood this and that's NRS's problem. They can barely make any good post-MKIII chars. Quan-Chi, Kotal, D'Vorah, and Skarlet being the only exceptions.

I mained jaqui for a while before the nerf patch that fucked up armour.
I used high tech, she is a fun god tier rush down char and with 2nd spark high tech she can fuck you up real quick. My only gripe with her was that she had 1 important string that was too tight to get out consistently and the autismo air stomp cancel shit made her god tier combos too tricky to do.
Mk11 is getting rid of the cancels and long ass combos, I hope, so she should be more deadly and viable in this.

Frost is an early model. I think they want to tone the amount of ninjas so i wouldn't expect more than 2 or 3 across the 2 kombat packs. Rain has the biggest chance to make it in as a ninja because of his appearance in the menu. Smoke, Ermac and Reptille also have good chances but i wouldn't expect any cyborgs.

I don't disagree that we need more 3D era characters, but I don't really blame Geras for that. Boon has stated a few times he doesn't like most of the 3D era characters, so I feel like even if we didn't have Geras.. it would just be one roster slot down.

It is like a roster full of filler characters and minor fan favourites. Like there are some core characters there, Noob being back is awesome especially with his new look. There also aren't any really exciting picks, Frost was probably the safest 3D era character they could bring back. Do something to surprise me, a character I didn't think could be saved looking awesome.

The 3D era was easily the best era of this franchise. It had the best chars, lore, and story mode. konquest mode blows the shit out of the trash cinematic story in MK11&MKX. The red text obviously has post-processing over it, the same postprocessing that the faker used to make the image look low-res and photo-like. This isn't a real leak, but it uses the leaked list of characters we had already.

Many of the icon renders in the image are missing headgear equipment and appear heavily unfinished. Erron doesn't even have his mask despite a different leak showing him with it equipped. Most of the characters have the exact same pose and lighting. It would appear that at the time of this image, only characters such as Scorpion and Skarlet were close to finished... Johnny doesn't even have an icon despite being in polishing stages right now. I think Frost has different hair as gear and it just defaulted to bald when removing all the add-on bodygroups like the masks. At worst it'll be optional, at best she isn't even intended to be bald at all and it's just a lazy placeholder.
