What's a game that gave you that magical feeling...

What's a game that gave you that magical feeling, like you were completely immersed in the world and gameplay you were presented with?

Xenogears world pulled me in in a way very few games have. The first time I played Dishonored was special, but unsettling. I was playing a high chaos stealth Corvo and it began to leak unto my dreams.

Strange Journey, exploring the weird yet familiar areas of Scharwelt or whatever, fighting bizarre monsters and getting them on your side, getting to know your crew and of course, fighting for what you believe in was gripping.

It fulfilled the sandbox openworld niche better than Morrowwind.

I should have seen it coming as the game layed it on thick with the foreshadowing,(particularly the arena where a dude says he kept sensing and subsequently, looking for a weakness that wasn't there) but I was simultaneously taken aback and pissed off.

Not necessarily drawn into the world or whatever, but the presentation of the Tekken games always pulls you into the gameplay. T7 Season 1's main menu theme is the pinnacle of menu music as it actually engages you in the game. It's got this building intensity with all this energy just ready to explode in a fight with some melancholy tones relating to the tragedy within the story mode (which in itself is shit, but still). All that from a fucking menu music piece.

Probably vanilla WoW back in the day. Not only did the size of the world without loading screens blow me away it was also focused on making a world based on Warcraft lore instead of the world serving game mechanics. It was often tedious or unfair but that only immersed me more. Travelling far away was an adventure especially on PVP servers. You couldn't understand the language of other races. Nothing could be achieved without a shitload of effort and time. No micropayments and booster packs and cosmetics store to take you out and back into the real world.

I doubt it would be the same experience. The size is no longer impressive nowadays and I've already seen everything it had to offer so there's nothing to explore and discover.

Would it be poetic if he dies just after making the characters board a ship to some place?

I figured as much.

Skull knight will kill the void and those two other ones I can't remember the name of.
Guts will kill reincarnated griffith/femto and slan, but not before getting aggressively banged by the former.

Guts settling down with Casca away from the troubles of the world would actually be quite a fitting end for his character arc. He moves beyond his past, saves the "princess" and becomes a better, more fulfulled man.

Griffith is still a bitch and is tied to his past mistakes, so would probably hunt Guts down, because he is so flawed and unhappy.

The rest of the story doesn't really need to be told, but once Casca gets calmed down, there isn't much left for Guts to do to develop.

Pac-Man World 2

he will give the dragonslayer to Puck, obviously

The never ending boat ride. Now that would be something to complain about. And there on an island, so they gotta take a boat back sometime. (i think they'll get teleported or flown back though, and then they'll probably meet at the Bakiraka village.

Attached: 1550431659941.jpg (1920x1080, 1.8M)

Nah I don't like that kind of ending. The whole thing has pretty much been a revenge story. I could see him settle down with Casca and forget about Griffith, but I think something will happen to enrage him again. Like Casca dying or maybe Isidro or something. I believe the beast of darkness said something along the lines of: "Fine then. Have your control for now. I'll awaken when it's time"

They're

remember that griffith and his army are riding their horses through the sky to find guts
berserk is going to have a rushed/incomplete ending on the island

That's just shonen bullshittery though. The Black Swordsman arc shows the crappest part of Guts' character, he's just this edgy cunt with no substance to him. The story got more interesting due to Guts' ever growing life philosophy and goals.

Guts being able to settle down and be happy is actually the ultimate fuck-you to Griffith, because it shows that Guts is not beholden to Griffith or his actions any longer. Griffith doesn't matter. Bam. Get fucked, bird-boy.

Dark Souls 1 specifically.

>because it shows that Guts is not beholden to Griffith or his actions any longer. Griffith doesn't matter. Bam. Get fucked, bird-boy.
This works on an extra level because that was the message Griffith took when Guts left the first time right before he shagged the princess. Living well is the best revenge Guts can give.

When did this get coloured?

Dif user but schierk and the other chick had to rush casca's recovery. while she can think again they never fixed her fear of guts. they'll never be happy together

That's making a lot of assumptions. Casca is naturally going to have a lot of emotional/psychological damage to work through for a while, but it doesn't mean that she can't move past it either.

People could be forgiven for thinking that Berserk is a revenge story. But what if it's a story about personal, inner growth and moving passed and beyond revenge to something more philosophically powerful. It's a story of finding inner peace and reflection beyond trauma.

But that doesn't fuck over Griffith though. He could have literally killed Guts at any point in the story since he became Femto. He got everything he wanted, his own kingdom and apparently limitless power. And realistically it has to end with Guts killing him.

Did we ever found out what happened to skull knight after that?
Did he ded?

Now, this is my theory on what's coming next. I'm not saying it's likely, mind you, but I think it would be a good direction in terms of story/character building.

Guts and Casca work out Casca's issues together in a sort of extention of their time together opening up about their pasts (remember when Guts told Casca about Gambino/Donovan/his childhood in general, and Casca did the same to Guts?) but this time it's about their pasts together, not before they met each other. This strengthens their relationship because they can directly address their issues like people who have achieved self-esteem.

Griffith, on the other hand, will conquer the world as he wanted, but will learn that none of it matters. He no longer has any real relationships, not like he had with Guts. Griffith then has a choice. Face his issues honestly and seek something deeper than his mask of being the White Hawk, or lash out at his issues in an attempt to bury them. He already did the latter when sleeping with Charlotte, and if he chooses to do so again, it will result in him hunting down Guts to exact "revenge" on him for his "abandonment", as he will view it.

This is so bad, and people here play and like this unironically

I genuinely feel a bit sorry for you if that game is what "fully immersed you in a magical way". Of all video games, of all things, that cringefest is what absorbed you. It says a lot about your person.

Half-Life 2

Bloodborne

I can't believe i bought this game. One of the worst games i've ever played, and that's not hyperbole. Combat, story, VAs, gacha system, low impact abilities for levelling up the stupid wheel thing, damn it's awful. Anyone who likes this game has to be
